I was just an ordinary guy, living an ordinary life. I worked as an accountant in a small firm, had a few close friends, and spent most of my free time playing video games and watching anime. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing that would make me stand out in a crowd. But that all changed on a fateful evening, when I stumbled upon a mysterious ritual being performed in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. I had been exploring the area, looking for a new spot to hang out and grab a beer, when I stumbled upon the group of robed figures chanting and performing some sort of dark magic. At first, I thought it was just some bunch of crazy cultists, but as I watched, I felt a strange energy building up. The air seemed to thicken and charged with power, and I could feel my skin prickling with unease. And then, in a flash of light, everything changed. The ritual participants screamed and scattered, and I felt myself being drawn into the ritual circle. I tried to resist, but it was too late. I was sucked in, and everything went black. When I came to, I found myself standing in a vast, dark throne room. A sea of twisted, demonic faces stared up at me, their eyes glowing with malevolent intent. And at the center of it all, I saw a figure that made my blood run cold. A figure with horns, scales, and wings, sitting on a throne that seemed to be made of pure darkness. "Welcome, Demon King," the figure said, its voice like thunder. "You have been summoned." I stared, my mind reeling. What was going on? How did I get here? And what did they mean by "Demon King"? I looked around, trying to take it all in. The demonic faces, the dark throne room, the whole "being summoned" thing... it was all just a bit too much. "Uh, sorry to be a bother," I said, trying to sound cool. "But could someone maybe explain what's going on here? Like, what's the deal with the whole 'Demon King' thing?" The figure on the throne raised an eyebrow. "You don't know?" I shrugged. "I mean, I've played a lot of video games, but I don't think I've ever been the Demon King before." There was a pause, and then the demonic faces around me erupted into laughter. Like, seriously, they were laughing so hard they were crying. "What's so funny?" I asked, feeling a bit offended. One of the demons managed to gasp out between laughs, "You're... you're just so... human!" I scowled. "Hey, what's wrong with being human?" The figure on the throne chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound. "You'll learn, Demon King. You'll learn." And with that, the ritual began. I was showered with dark magic, and I felt myself changing. Growing stronger, more powerful. More... demonic. But even as I felt myself transforming, I couldn't help but think... this is all just a bit too weird.
