The sound of honking from traffic echoed the city streets...
"Damn it..." I groaned myself
I gripped my steering wheel tightly, gritting my teeth as the pain in my chest grew stronger...
"No...no, no, no, Not now." I muttered
The sharp pain in my chest continued to increase, becoming unbearable as i struggle to focus on the road in front of me...
"I-I can't"... I gasped, my hands trembling slightly as I tried to keep the car steady
The sounds of the honking and the rush of traffic faded into the background as I became disoriented, feeling light-headed all of a sudden...
Darkness slowly engulfed my vision as the pain in my chest intensified...
"This can't be happening..." I gasped, struggling to stay conscious...
A wave of a fatigue washed over me, and my grip on the steering wheel weakened as my eyes started to droop...
"No...no..." I whispered, my body becoming limp as I lost control of the vehicle...
Everything went completely black...
"...."
The next thing I knew, I was waking up.
As my eyes fluttered open, I was greeted by unfamiliar sight. Instead of the cramped space of my car, I found myself laying on the ground, Surrounded by rolling hills and open fields...
I groggily sat up, my body feeling heavy and unfamiliar. As I tried to rub my eyes awake, i realized something was terribly wrong...
"What the hell...?" I mumbled, my voice sounding different than before...
I looked down and immediately froze in shock...
Instead of my body, I was greeted by the sight of bones, My arms, my legs, all my limbs were nothing but a skeleton. I stared down in disbelief as realization set in...
"I'm..." I gasped, barely able to believe what I was seeing...
I stumbled to my feet, the feeling of my skeleton bones clacking together unnatural. I took a few shaky steps, trying to process what had just happened to me...
"This can't be real..." I said a loud, my voice raspy and otherworldly...
But as i looked around, I knew this wasn't a dream...
The rolling hills and greenery stretched on for miles, a vast and beautiful landscape. In the distance, I could faintly hear the sound of flowing water..
I stumbled my way forward, my feet clacking against the soft grass as I made my way towards the sound of water. The entire situation felt like something out of a fantasy book...
"I'm a freaking skeleton..." I muttered to myself, still struggling to come to terms with my new condition..
As I came closer to the source of the water, I found myself at the edge of a clear lake. The water reflected the clear blue sky above, sparkling and beckoning for me to come closer.
Curiosity piqued despite my disoriented state, I knelt down beside the lake, peering at my reflection...
What I saw was horrifying...
Staring back at me from the reflection was the grinning face of a skeleton. The bones on my face were set in a permanent, almost mocking smile. As I studied my reflection, I noticed one thing that was strange...
I was wearing an armor?
The armor on my body was battered and worn, looking like it had seen decades of battle. Curiously, I examined the metal plating on my chest, finding it to be surprisingly lightweight...
As I looked at the pieces of armor covering my arm and legs, I realized one more thing...
"How the hell am I still in one piece? Skeletons aren't supposed to move without any flesh or muscle holding them together..."
The more I thought about it, the more I realized just how ridiculous my situation was. Here I was, a skeleton walking and moving like nothing was wrong. It defied the laws of biology and physics...
"There has to be an explanation for this," I said a loud, my voice echoing in the silence..
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts...
"Okay maybe there's magic involved. Or maybe this is just some kind of hallucination," I muttered, still struggling to make sense of my situation.
"Either way, I need to find out more about where I am," I said, steeling myself and taking a step forward...
I slowly made my way away from the the lake, my footsteps echoing on the grass as I walked. As I wandered aimlessly through the rolling hills, I look in my surroundings, searching for anything that might give me some clue as to where I was...
But all I could see was endless greenery and hills as far as the eye could see...
"No buildings, no roads, no signs of civilization..." I muttered to myself, frustration creeping into my voice..
I continued my aimless wandering, the only sounds being the rustle of the wind and the clacking of my own bones...
As I walked, I couldn't help but feel a sense of isolation and loneliness. I was alone in this strange new world, with no idea of what was going on or how I had gotten here...
I looked down at my skeleton hands, feeling a sense of helplessness and despair wash over me...
"How am I supposed to find my way in this mess? I'm completely lost..." I said a loud, my voice sounding pathetic and defeated.
As I continued to walk, feeling more lost and disoriented than ever, I stumbled upon something that made me freeze in my tracks. In the distance, I could see a faint trail of smoke rising up into the sky...
"Is that a fire?" I murmured..
I realized that smoke could mean hope. Smoke meant people, and people meant answers...!
With a new sense of purpose, I started walking in the direction of the smoke, moving as quickly as my armored skeleton body would allow..
As I moved closer to the sources of the smoke, I could see a small settlement in the distance. A few crude huts made out of wood and animal skins had been constructed..
I realized I was about to encounter other people for the first time in this strange world...
