Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Transcending the Heavenly Veil, I'm Wu Shi's Sister?
Chapter 1: Transcending the Heavenly Veil, I’m Wu Shi’s Sister?
The four directions and the heavens above form the universe; past and present form time. Among all the wonders of the universe, life is the greatest miracle!
"The universe is vast, the stars endless, and life between heaven and earth is so insignificant", the young man murmured, gazing up at the night sky.
"Even if immortals and deities no longer exist, what does it matter if the Yellow Court is but a fading memory, a mere legend?"
"I’m going to die, and it’s so unfair."
He was born with a congenital defect, destined to live a short life. Despite his youthful vigor, he was already in his twilight years. As he lay dying, he clutched a book in his hand, its cover inscribed with two powerful characters: "Heavenly Veil."
"If there is a next life, could I find a path to immortality?"
Trapped in a harsh world, his spirit wandered through a realm of fantasy, a place of wonders and mysteries that he yearned to explore.
In the Big Dipper, on the Emperor's Burial Star.
A little girl, no, a toddler, with a puzzled look in her eyes. She was only two or three years old, with black hair cascading down her back and bright, clear eyes. She looked like a delicate porcelain doll.
Little Shaohua had been troubled lately by strange and unusual thoughts that occasionally surfaced in her mind.
Strange, it feels like I’m growing a brain.
Fortunately, these thoughts didn’t affect her negatively; if anything, they were beneficial.
Time passed swiftly, and ten years went by in the blink of an eye.
Beside a small lake, under an old willow tree.
A young woman in a green robe sat in meditation. Her figure was slender and graceful, her skin as smooth and flawless as snow, and her hair flowed like a waterfall to her waist. Her eyes were like shimmering autumn waters, but there was a hint of coldness in her gaze, giving her an otherworldly air despite her young age.
"Is it really possible to be reborn? Why did I end up in the world of Heavenly Veil? Is it because what you yearn for will eventually come true?"
The young woman sighed softly. Over the past ten years, she had gradually come to understand her past and present lives. She had, without a doubt, been transported to the world of her favorite fantasy novel.
Heavenly Sovereigns, Ancient Emperors, Great Emperors.
The Heavenly Court, the Underworld, the Forbidden Life Zones.
Elixirs of Immortality, the Longevity Catastrophe, the obsession with immortality.
The path to heaven, the journey through song, and the power to veil the heavens with a flick of the wrist!
The only thing that made her laugh and cry was that she had been reborn as a little girl. What could she say? It was a unique experience.
Her previous life had been filled with hardship, but in this life, she had a healthy body and the opportunity to walk the path of cultivation, a legendary journey. What more could she ask for?
However, this world was dangerous.
Although Shaohua knew some of the "plot" developments, she was well aware that she didn’t have any of the typical advantages that a transmigrator might possess.
"I still have to rely on myself. Fortunately, my identity in this life seems to be quite special. My father is the Indestructible Golden Body, and my mother is a Primordial Dao Embryo. This is truly intriguing."
The young woman’s face lifted slightly, and a smile appeared. The Indestructible Golden Body, also known as the Ancient Holy Body, combined with a Primordial Dao Embryo—this was simply incredible!
At this point, the Feathered Ascension Dynasty had already fallen, and there was no mention of the names of the Ancient Emperors Heng Yu or Kong Xu. Considering her parents’ constitutions, she was almost certain about the era she was in.
Without a doubt, her mother would be the Western Sovereign, the founder of the Jade Pond Holy Land, a few thousand years in the future!
That meant she would have a brother named Wu Shi in the coming millennia?
Shaohua stood up and looked at her reflection in the water, a faint smile on her lips. Being reborn was a blessing, no matter how you looked at it.
And she was quite good-looking!
To put it simply, the combination of two lives gave her a perfect fifty-fifty chance to experience different paths. She was a big winner in this deal.
She chuckled, rubbing her small face, and the smile gradually faded.
There was only one thing that made her feel a bit regretful. Although she was born to a Holy Body and a Dao Embryo, she wasn’t a Primordial Holy Body Dao Embryo.
Perhaps it was because her parents’ constitutions weren’t fully developed, or maybe her birth was an accident. Whatever the reason, Shaohua didn’t inherit the invincible physique of the Holy Body or the near-Dao power of the Dao Embryo.
She was conceived unexpectedly before her parents set out on the ancient star path and was left behind in the Big Dipper, entrusted to their close friends.
"Fortunately, I still have the blood of a Holy Body and some of the divine qualities of a Dao Embryo. I can consider myself a flawed Holy Body Dao Embryo, I suppose."
Shaohua consoled herself. To have such a promising start was already a stroke of luck. What more could she ask for?
Desiring too much and being greedy would only lead to trouble. As the saying goes, the greatest virtue is like water, which benefits all things without contention, staying in the place that others dislike, thus being close to the Dao.
Shaohua adjusted her mindset and inherited some resources and legacies from her Holy Body father and her future Empress mother. She quickly rose to prominence in the Big Dipper.
This was a great era, but it was also a dark and tumultuous time.
The Sovereigns who had survived by self-severing from ages past were finding it increasingly difficult to endure the passage of time. With the Immortal Ascension Path predicted to open in just two to three hundred thousand years, they were unwilling to fade away and began to emerge from the Forbidden Life Zones, consuming all life to prolong their existence.
This was the origin of the Dark Turmoil!
When a Great Emperor arose, these Sovereigns naturally tried to avoid confrontation, not wishing to risk everything. However, if they could not avoid it, they would have no choice but to engage in battle.
In the most chaotic and darkest era, the Sovereigns frequently emerged. If it weren’t for the frequent appearances of the Ancient Holy Body and the successive emergence of fully developed Holy Bodies, unimaginable tragedies would have befallen the world.
Shaohua attained the Holy Realm in the Big Dipper, inevitably attracting enemies along the way. Among these were the foes her parents had previously made, whom she defeated once more.
She then ventured into the ancient star path, battling all the way until she finally reunited with her family at the end of the human ancient path.
By then, she had already achieved the Great Sage Realm, while her parents were preparing to advance to the Quasi-Emperor stage. They exchanged knowledge, and Shaohua inherited the Holy Body’s legacy and the early form of the Western Sovereign Sutra.
It was then that she realized her path had been flawed.
Due to her memories from her previous life, she had subconsciously mimicked the path of the future Heavenly Emperor Ye. However, she was not him, and this led her astray, causing her to stagnate in the Great Sage Realm for a while.
By the time she finally broke free, her parents had already ascended to higher levels of the Quasi-Emperor realm.
"An incomplete state of mind and an imperfect Dao. Even without my mother leading the way, I would have found it difficult to achieve Dao in this life. Those who resemble me perish, those who transform me survive, and those who break me advance. The path of the Great Dao is arduous indeed!"
Shaohua nearly shattered her Dao heart, realizing that she had lost some of her true self during the process of severing her Dao.
After comprehending her true self, she no longer clumsily imitated others. She broke through the barriers, transcended her current constitution and past memories, and truly forged her own path.
Only after this enlightenment did she see the peak of the Dao!
Without this experience, she would never have reached the summit, and achieving Dao would have been impossible.
Later, her father achieved full development as a Holy Body, and she took his place to battle the current Overlord Body, bathing in the Overlord Blood and forcefully advancing to the Quasi-Ninth level.
To protect her mother, Shaohua also painstakingly conquered the Mythic Shore, obtaining the Spiritual Treasure Sovereign’s Annihilation Sword and Annihilation Formation Diagram.
Centuries of shared experiences had long made her accept her identity in this world, making the mere two to three decades of her past life seem insignificant in comparison.
Of course, those memories were the most precious in her heart, and she would never forget them.
When she was about to achieve Dao, three Sovereigns from the Forbidden Life Zones acted in unison. The battle was earth-shattering, shattering star rivers and erasing the Dao itself.
In the end, one Sovereign retreated to the Underworld, another reached the pinnacle of transcendence but was held back by time, not defeated but vanquished by the relentless passage of years.
Another Sovereign was too old to even transcend and was killed on the spot by the three of them, with Shaohua delivering the final blow.
The world reached its peak, and a Great Emperor of the current era emerged, known as the Western Sovereign!
The Western Sovereign achieved Dao, slaying a Sovereign and intimidating the Forbidden Life Zones!
Three hundred years later, Shaohua successfully entered the realm of Alternative Dao Achievement.
As the progeny of an Emperor and with the cultivation of Alternative Dao Achievement, Shaohua had reached the pinnacle of her life. She could stroll through the Forbidden Life Zones and pick Enlightenment Tea from the Mountain of Immortality, and no one could do anything to her.
But this was not what she truly desired.
Having come to this world, how could she be content with this?
She knew that true immortals existed in this world!
The concept of "immortality" had caused the greatest catastrophe in the pursuit of eternal life.
Eternal life was incredibly difficult to achieve. Even the Heavenly Sovereigns turned to ashes, the Ancient Emperors withered away, and the Great Emperors of old became dust, all buried in the sands of time.
No one could resist the power of time. No matter how invincible you were, you would eventually reach the end of your life.
Throughout history, countless prodigies vied for supremacy, leaving a brilliant legacy, but it was only a fleeting moment of glory.
Heavenly Sovereigns, Ancient Emperors, and Great Emperors—each one dominated the universe, reaching the pinnacle of power, yet none could preserve their own lives.
Shaohua had no miraculous external aid, nor did she attain Dao in a single lifetime. However, she knew that the immortal realm truly existed and that one could achieve immortality even in the mortal world.
"Immortality" was real, and it was more valuable to her than any ancient scripture.
The path to immortality was incredibly arduous, but the destination was real, not an illusion, and it could be found and achieved!
Wishing you good health and a long life, I love you all!
