Tang Nuanhua originally wanted to say a few mean words to Li Shao about the way he treated her to make herself feel better. But when she saw Li Shao applying medicine for her and doing it so gently and meticulously, she swallowed all her grievances,

'Nothing wrong happened between me and Gu Yihan! Why can't he trust me?' She wanted to explain so badly but she knew that Li Shao would not easily be convinced. Besides, it would seem like she was trying to cover up something making him misunderstand even more. Thinking about it now, it seems like he never trusted her from the very beginning.

Tang Nuanhua felt very uncomfortable and her burns itched. She started crying because she was so overwhelmed by what happened.

Her tears fell on Li Shao's hands that were applying medicine. Li Shao glanced at her tearful face and thought that he hurt her while putting on the ointment. "Is it very painful? I was very disgusted and quickly went to the bathroom to wash my hands. I had to wait until the food was packed while rejecting his advances. I even went back to the company so we could have the meal together and you still…you misunderstood! You thought l was having a meeting with my lover and wasted the food l waited a long time for! Li Shao, you bastard! Do you know how sad l am?"

Tang Nuanhua beat his chest with her hand as she cried making him very guilty. 'So it was like that.' Li Shao thought about it more and more and realised he had been fooled. It turned out that Tang Nuanhua accidentally met with Gu Yihan and Gu Yihan tried to make moves on her. She refused because she was disgusted,

He just saw the picture and blew everything out of proportion. Still, he felt about doubtful: "You don't want to marry Gu Yihan? How could he suddenly become disgusting?"

This question stunned Tang Nuanhua because she revealed too much. She muttered: "I changed my mind" and did not elaborate on the topic anymore. Li Shao frowned and gave up because Tang Nuanhua refused to say. He also did not want to force her. He finished cleaning and dressing her wound and stood up.

Tang Nuanhua looked at the bandages and ignored the lingering pain. Li Shao returned the medicine box to the bathroom and went back to Nuanhua. He saw her on the sofa and remembered the servant saying that she had not eaten at all since she came back. He couldn't be heartless: "Did you eat?"

Tang Nuanhua shook her head. "Get up and let's go eat dinner." Li Shao replied. Tang Nuanhua felt a bit resentful. 'He still remembers eating after he wasted my food? Humph!'

"I don't want to eat. I'm not hungry." Just as she said this, her stomach rumbled. Tang Nuanhua blushed in shame and wanted the ground to just open and swallow both her and her embarrassment. Li Shao was amused and asked: "Are you sure you're not hungry?"

Tang Nuanhua angrily replied: "Can you take care of me if l am?" Li Shao sneered in disdain: "Thank you for that reminder. I should not take care of you at all." Nuanhua gaped at his words and realised she said the wrong words. In her past life, she would always say "You cannot control me! You are not qualified to take care of me!" and this made Li Shao so angry he turned and left no matter what they were doing together.

She regretted saying this and wanted to stop him but she was too late. Li Shao had already left the room in a rage.
