"--Blow of Destruction (Black Hole)."

I've been called Demon Lord candidate, rebirth of the evil that will destroy the world, etc.

I trained and practiced using this magic, put in a lot of effort, and rose up in the ranks of the demon army so that I could meet everyone's expectations.

Garlock realized what I was doing right before I shot the spell, twisted his body and barely dodged it.

Louise and Suzette, who were chasing Garlock, jumped out of the way to dodge it.

I tried to make sure they weren't in the line of fire, so I'm glad my calculations were correct.

"Louise, Suzette. I want you guys to take Nasha and the Cerberus and get out of here."

"What!? I can still--"

"Louise. You and I are both in bad shape. Let's…leave the rest up to Eric."

Louise didn't want to stop fighting, but Suzette noticed something and agreed to my suggestion.

After they went to help Nasha, I built up mana in my hands once more.

"Eric. You're so well-off, aren't you, to be absent without notice. I don't know why you're with the heroes, but you've unmistakably been neglecting your duties. Don't think you'll get off with just a month's pay cut."

Garlock spat out, looking straight at my eyes, now that my hood was off.

"Isn't that the same for you, Garlock-senpai? Releasing Cerberus in hero territory violated Article 4 of the military law…At least a pay cut, and in the worst case a demotion."

"That's easy, you just have to say that you didn't see me. Not going to listen to your superior? I don't care if you're a Demon Lord candidate or anything like that, but there's quite a bit of people in the upper departments who aren't so fond of you. I just need to report something small and you're done for. Think about it carefully. You never saw me here, got it?"

Garlock had a vulgar smile on his face.

"Okay, how about this. I won't report you neglecting duty. In return, you never saw me here and I have nothing to do with those Cerberus. I guess some stray Cerberus were running amok in hero territory. Such a sad sight."

I looked behind me and saw Nasha treating Louise and Suzette.

It seemed that they were far enough to not be able to hear our conversation.

"Those Cerberus…aren't they your important pets?"

"Yeah. Until a minute ago. I have no need for ones that are stupid enough to listen to heroes. They are an embarrassment to the demon army. I don't care what happens to them anymore."

At Garlock's cold, rejecting manner, the two Cerberus walked forward with their heads drooping.

'whining'

"…I see. I'm disappointed."

I let out a short whistle.

Since this place was close to demon territory, they'll come at a whistle.

The demon army's emergency messenger animal--the delivery bats.

They were used to report to the upper departments about the damage done, deserters, or those who didn't follow orders.

I poured mana infused with information about my former superior, Garlock's, violation of military law into it.

"WhYou! What are you doing!? Don't you know what will happen to you if you betray me--!"

I didn't miss Garlock raising his finger at me.

I collected all the mana I've been storing since our conversation started into my right hand, and grabbed Garlock's head.

"--Destruction magic, Whisper of Destruction (Karula Ivan?). Listen closely, Garlock."

"…Mmm!? Mmmph…!?"

One of the seven destruction magic that the one that was called the Demon Lord of Destruction is said to have used.

It's a spell that activates when you pour your mana into your opponent.

When you infuse a command into the spell using words, it becomes a power of words.

If the opponent that's targeted by the spell fails to follow the command, it'll explode him from the inside. In other words, it's an unfair, unreasonable spell.

"You…your powers as a Demon Lord…awakened already!?"

I don't remember clearly when my powers awakened.

I remember feeling something change during the one hundred consecutive days on duty, but I didn't have the energy to check.

But then again, I never imagined that my former superior would be the first one to test out my awakened powers either--

"『Do not speak of this to anyone. If this command is not kept, thy body will be scattered onto the ground』…I guess this isn't bad for starters."

I was done injecting my mana.

When I let go, Garlock sunk to the ground onto his knees.

"Do you realize…that you've attacked your superior…?"

"I'm fully aware."

"…I'll still let this pass if you undo the spell. Do it, right now!"

"My powers have just awakened, so even if I'm able to put curses on to people, I can't undo it. Unfortunate for you."

Garlock's face slowly turned pale.

"I had no intention of forgiving you the moment you tried to kill the angel (Nasha) that saved me."

His face twisted in anger at my words.

"Y-you…! You'll regret this! I'll come back for revenge! Just you…!?"

"Do what you want, I don't care. I'm going to live here. No one's going to get in my way. If someone, even if it's my former superior--"

"I'll go destroy him. Mark my words."

His stubble beard and yellow teeth were shaking uncontrollably.

I watched him walk back towards demon territory with shaky steps, without his Cerberus to accompany him, a poor broken man--.

Not gonna lie, recently I haven't been working on translations so I can't seem to remember too well how I did it before… 😦

School started and I don't work full days anymore so maybe I'll be able to work on translations in between the week though 🙂
