A Place Where I belong Chapter 3

“It seems that you really like him a lot. Don’t you?”, Kelly asked politely.

“Yeah. I really do like him but not in a romantic way”, Natasha replied in softly.

“Then in what way?”, Kelly intrigued.

“I mean… wait a minute why are you asking me all this? You little cunning fox!”, Natasha said abruptly. She was surprised that how Kelly was able to get all the answers she needed. But she realized soon enough, but she didn’t mind at all after knowing her.

In her reply Kelly laughed a bit a said, “I really don’t know what to say but aren’t you praising him a little too much?”

“I am just telling the truth what I gathered by talking to him. If you don’t want to believe me then don’t. I am not like forcing you to believe me right away”, Natasha said with a face of helplessness.

“From your praises I can tell that he’s putting up an act in front of you all people and deceiving you. But don’t you worry I’ll expose him soon”, Kelly concluded her answer. Natasha didn’t reply to her consent over Kim.

After a pause, “Why don’t we go back to our exploration?”, Kelly said with while curling her lips in a gentle smile.

“Again? But I’ve shown you everything around”, Natasha said with a bit surprise.

“Then how about you introduce me to some of your good friends here?”, Kelly said with a puppy face.

“You are really something aren’t you Miss Kelly? (Sigh)…Fine let’s do the later. But after that we’re going home. Is that clear?”, Natasha said with an annoying expression.

“Yes ma’am!”, Kelly suddenly stood up by saluting Natasha in a funny way. Seeing that Natasha smiled back. Natasha went off with Kelly to help her to explore the campus.

Meanwhile on next day when Kelly entered class she saw that where she sat yesterday, no one was there.

“So he didn’t show up huh? Serves you right, you two face”, Kelly said in very low that inly she could hear.

“Your perverted prince charming hasn’t come today my dear friend?”, Kelly said in a tone of criticize.

“It looks like you took quite interest in him already”, Natasha replied back with a mocking smile.

“My, my… someone is getting jealous this early in the morning”, Kelly said with a surprised face.

“Oh please you can have him for yourself. I am in no mood for getting into a relationship this soon. But I think it would be a better experience for you y sweet little virgin”, Natasha said with an expressionless face.

Kelly was dumbfounded after hearing this. She suddenly blushed and pinched Natasha on her right shoulder and said with a red face, “Shut up!”

“Then stop messing with me already!”, Natasha mocked Kelly.

“Okay, okay… I surrender. It’s your win today”, Kelly said while raising her both hands to her shoulders. She sat down and attended all the classes with Natasha. But there was no sign of Kim on that day.

One day, two days, three days, even whole week passed but Kim didn’t show up for the class. Professor Issac asked about Kim in the class but no one knew him that much. Before leaving the class, he looked at Kelly and said, “Miss Kelly please see me today in my office when you find time.”

Kelly was confused about for a moment and answer in a yes. When Professor Issac left the class, everyone was confused as much as her. They looked at her. Kelly looked at Natasha and asked in a confused manner, “Why Professor wants to see me?”

“I don’t know why he called for you, but be at ease maybe he wants to ask something regarding Kim because he’s absent till the day you sat with him”, Natasha said in a lazy manner.

“Oh… I see that’s how it is? Then its fine, I can handle it”, Kelly said while putting her right fist on her chest.

“Well, good luck then soldier”, Natasha said with her head down on the table.

She was confident I handling the matter regarding Kim. When her classes were over she headed over to Professor Issac’s office.

“May I come in Professor?”, she asked politely.

“Yes! Please come in Miss Kelly”, Professor replied while reading newspaper. “Please take a seat.” There were two wooden chairs in front of Professor Issac’s desk. Natasha sat on one of the chairs.

Professor Issac put the newspaper under his right hand and asked Kelly, “Miss Kelly do you like the campus?”

“Yes it’s really amazing than the one where I was studying. It’s really good I think I can learn much better here”, Kelly answered obediently.

“Then I look forward to your performance in the finals”, Professor said while nodding his head towards her. The after a pause he continued, “The reason I called you here for is regarding Kim.”

“But I have nothing to do with him, if he’s not coming to the class. How am I involved in this matter?”, Kelly answered quickly.

Professor smiled and said, “But Miss Kim I never mentioned that it’s a he or she.”

Kelly couldn’t believe that she was able to handle this situation like all businesses in her family would be trapped by her own words. She cursed herself for a moment and then she continued, “I mean whoever he or she is I have nothing to with him or her.”

Professor didn’t say anything for a moment because he could tell from Kelly’s reaction that something might had happened between Kim and Kelly. So he said in a low and old voice, “Miss Kelly, I don’t know what happened between you two, and I am really not interested in listening to your reasoning. Just go and bring him back to class tomorrow. No matter what the case.”

Kelly wasn’t able to say anything back to professor so she stood up and reached the door to leave the room but when she turned the door knob she asked, “Why is he so important to you that you’re ordering me to bring him back to class he is just one student. If he don’t attend the classes he is wasting his own time. In an institute like this professors doesn’t care about students if they aren’t attending the lectures. But why are you doing this unnecessary thing which isn’t part of your job?”

“I didn’t ask you to remind me of my job. But regarding Kim I can tell you this, students like him are really rare in this world. If he slacks off then it is my responsibility to him back to his track. You had done your homework regarding me but you didn’t do anything regarding Kim and that’s where you’re misjudging him on a little misunderstanding. So please bring him back I the class tomorrow otherwise don’t enter my class Miss Kelly. You may leave.”

“But how will find him? I don’t even know where he lives? At least give me his address!”, Kelly said with helpless face.

“Well, it’s your problem not mine because it’s against the policy to hand over address of a student. If you’re facing this problem perhaps you should the other students. Now off you go”, professor didn’t help her a lot but at least he gave her a clue.

Kelly stepped outside of the Professor Issac’s room, and without delaying any moment she cursed herself, “Damn it! What the hell is this situation? I am the victim here. I was harassed and now I have to kiss his butt to bring him back to class.”

She called Natasha for help but she refused straight forward. She cursed her too in her heart, ”Some friend are you?”

She asked some girls around. They told her that in which boy’s dormitory he lives. Because of the massive size of the campus there were three boy’s dormitory, east, west and south. They told her that he lives in east one but they were unable to tell her about his room. She got few clues and reached his dormitory.

Time passed by and it was already sunset. The cold breeze was blowing and made her movements slow. She saw a guard who was about in his mid-forty’s and asked him about Kim. The guard told her about his room. She tried to trespass the dormitory but guard stopped her right at that moment. Because unfortunately it was prohibited for girls to reach boy’s room on their own. She felt a little helpless. So she requested guard to call him outside of his room. The guard went back in the dormitory to look for Kim.

“Knock, knock…”, after four consecutive knock the door opened a handsome face appeared in front of guard’s eyes.

“Yes! Sean”, Kim asked the guard.

“There’s young lady who wants to see you. She’s watin…”

Before he could finish his words, Kim replied frequently, “Tell her that I don’t see strangers.” After saying that he closed his door. The guard went back to the front of the dormitory where Kelly was waiting. She saw that there was no sign of Kim.

“Where’s Kim?”, she asked guard.

“He didn’t come”, the guard said with somewhat helplessness face.

“Why?”, she asked with a plain face. Because she was expecting this.

“I don’t know”, guard replied while shrugging his shoulders.

After a keeping silent for a moment she asked the guard, “Did he say anything?”

“Yeah. He said that he doesn’t see strangers.”

After listening to Kim’s reply her anger reached her peak in a second. And she shouted at guard, “What!?”

“……….”, the was silent he didn’t say anything.

“HAHA…HAHAHAHA….HAHAHAHA….”, she laughed loudly with all  her might and then said with a grin on her face, “Kim, you’re really something. If you have guts then sat that to me on my face and I’ll let you know what kind of stranger I am.”

The guard was really confused with her action because he couldn’t determine whether she was angry or had gone mad.
