Summary
Jiang Li woke up in the body of the youngest daughter of the Jiang family, who was pampered and raised in the small village of Aoli. The original owner of her body, also named Jiang Li, had experienced a series of unfortunate events. First, she was abandoned by her fiancé, and in a moment of impulsiveness, she married a divorced man, becoming a stepmother. To make matters worse, her role as a stepmother was constantly compared to another in her community. She was the epitome of an unfortunate supporting character in a story.
However, for this new Jiang Li, none of these circumstances posed any problem. She learned that her husband, a divorced man, was a talented and accomplished scientist who had returned from abroad. He was dedicated to his work, earned a substantial income, and often had to travel for business. During those challenging times when basic necessities were scarce, marrying him seemed like a blessing for Jiang Li, who longed for a simple and peaceful life.
Jiang Lis mother was bewildered, convinced that her daughter had lost her sanity. Her brothers and their families shared similar concerns, thinking that their sister had gone mad. Aside from the family patriarch, Captain Jiang, everyone else in the family worried about Jiang Lis well-being. They feared that their delicate and cherished Jiang Li might struggle with the responsibilities of being a stepmother and that the pressure could take a toll on her fragile health.
The villagers, well aware of the Jiang familys situation, gathered to gossip and spread rumors,
especially those who harbored ill intentions. They eagerly awaited any sign of turmoil or their familys downfall. But contrary to their expectations, Jiang Li thrived in her married life. She was adored by her husband and cherished by her stepchildren, who affectionately called her "Mom." The elders in the family followed her every move, as if she were the center of their attention.
A perplexed System mused, "I thought the host I was bound to would be mediocre, but she turned out to be a champion."
