An eagle is supposed to eat the fish. However, it refuses to eat that fish, choosing to ignore it as it flew off in search of prey. And so, either the eagle does not want the fish... Or the fish is not a fish. *** "Ignorance is bliss." Someone had said that a long time ago. And indeed, they were right. Hundreds of years after that statement was uttered, the world showed its true nature. The once seemingly harmless lifeforms had mutated into terrifying creatures filled with blood lust. The peaceful planet was overtaken by transmuted monsters, eerily intelligent plants, and deadly plagues. Humanity was not spared. However, they did have some hope in the seemingly dark and gloomy world: the system that had been generated when the apocalypse began. With the system, humans could fight back against the monsters of the apocalypse, finally taking the upper hand. However, they failed to realize one thing: They werent the ones in control. *** Xu was only sixteen when the apocalypse began. People underestimated him, thinking that a kid could not survive in the changed world. He is aware that he is not the main character of the world. He is not the protagonist, nor one of the leads, nor one of the minor characters. At best, hes a nameless side character. But the world is interested in him. And he knows that. And so, he decides to break the Fourth Wall.
