'Does he already know? But, how?', Leila said inwardly, though she's feeling nervous but she hides it with her stoic face which she were used to being a soldier.

"Sir, Is there some urgent matters we need to talk about? I need to return to Madam Emily's side and return to my post", Leila started to talk with her formal tone as she couldn't handle the tension around her.

Nicolas sipped onto his coffee to try and relieve the rising anger within him. Then, he stared intently on Leila's eyes.

"Is there something you aren't telling me?", he said in his cold flat tone slowly.

Leila doesn't know how to answer his question whether he already knows or maybe he doesn't and was only testing her.

"I'm quite confused for this question, sir. Can you tell me the specific detail that you want to inquire with me?", Leila asked still trying to act with her stoic expression.

Nicolas is already feeling like his mood is getting worse as Leila tried to drag the topic.

'She still refuses to talk or maybe Nicolas, what Emily says is not true? Anyways just probe her for more info, you could do it', he said trying to calm himself down.

"Don't test my patience, Leila. It's quite low already. Tell me, when do you plan to tell me about my child growing inside you?", Nicolas asked in his cold flat tone.

'That's the way, Nicolas. You can use trick to probe her for more info', he thought to himself.

From the way Nicolas said those words it seems like he already know everything and he just wants Leila to confess that made Leila think that maybe this is the time to tell him the truth.

'I think, this is the moment that I dreaded for. Are there really no other way to escape from this?', Leila thought on herself as she sighed heavily.

She composed herself then said in her expressionless tone, "It seems like you already know the answer, Sir. So, why do you still have to ask me?"

"So, it's true", Nicolas doesn't know what to think, though he already anticipated and dreamed that this might happen but, he didn't expect it to happen right away nonetheless he likes it, the prospect that he will now became a father. But, he still composed himself as he's still quite angry at her for keeping it secret.

"When did you find out? And, why did you not tell me right away? Tell me, do you plan to raise our child without a father? I still have the right towards our child!", Nicolas exclaimed though he still tried to minimize his tone as he doesn't want to get angry to a woman nor raise his tone towards her.

Leila composed herself as she is no longer afraid of Nicolas' anger then said in her fierce tone, "Yes, I'm pregnant for a month already. Besides, I just recently found out about this and I'm still adapting to the situation, how can I even think of telling you right away?"

Nicolas was left speechless at her sudden outburst as he knows that she also has a point. The things that happened between them before were forced. The baby is also unexpected. Besides, she hasn't still recuperated from her trauma at their last mission and is very likely just started to adapt the situation.

Nicolas sighed heavily as he calmed himself down then he said in his gentle tone, "I understand that you are still under adapting to these current events. I'm sorry for getting mad at you. I'm just shock from this sudden news".

"For now, I ask you gently to go home and I'll look for someone to replace you. We'll talk about this later after work", he said as he still has some work to do and no one could replace him as of now so, he reluctantly put this matter on hold and will discuss this once his work for the day is finished.

Leila heaves a sigh of relief once their discussion ended.

They went out of the cafe and Nicolas bid farewell to her with a smile on his face as his mood turn back to normal once the news of him being a father registered in his mind. Though, he still has to go back and make sure that everything is under control and also look for Leila's replacement but, he still happy as he already has a leverage to make Leila become his wife by hook or by crook but, these matters will be on hold for a moment as he still has works to do.

Leila decided to look for Emily to bid farewell though, she was just with her for a couple of hours but, its only right to bid farewell out of courtesy.

Leila now started to walk towards the elevator. Then, as she entered it she pushed the number ten buttons signifying the location where she will head to. Then, after a few moments, she has now arrived at the tenth floor of the hotel.

"I'm surprised to see you here, your Excellency", a man said in his mocking tone towards the woman in front of her.

This scene surprises Leila so she hid on the wall near the elevator. Though, it was not in her intention to eavesdrop but as the hallway doesn't have any other people except her and the two people some distance away from her, the voice of these two people reverberated on the hallway.

She saw Emily and Alexander talking at the hallway. Though, they are talking in a calm tone but, as the hallway is empty except for the three of them, their voice reverberated at the hallway.

"Oh, you don't need to be surprised as I am really the one who was assigned to come here since a few weeks ago. In fact, you being here is the most surprising of all", Emily said returning the sarcastic remark towards him.

"Hmp, you haven't changed my dear wife. You still know how to bend my words", he said then chuckled.

"Excuse me; it should be an Ex-wife. We are already divorce, Mr. Vladimir", Emily said with her cold tone while she folded her arms.

Then, Leila couldn't hear anything anymore as Alexander walk closer to Emily as he whispered something to her ear then, started walking away without bidding farewell to Emily.

She could feel the rising anger within Emily but, she saw that Emily regained her composure and act in her regal manner once again.

It was then that Leila decided to move closer to her then bid her farewell as she will be replaced from her job. Emily didn't forget to tell her that she should accompany her in the gala party at the third day of the Summit. As she is quite persistent Leila reluctantly accepted her invitation and just treats it as her compensation for not being able to fulfill her supposed job.

Leila went home that day early while Emily went to the conference that the guest should attend that afternoon.
