the commander's pregnant wife 19 Chapter 19: Rescued and Captured

You must be asking, huh? Why does things happened so fast? Why it is not connected to the last chapter? Well, this is the reason.

These last few days each member of Karl's team look for the designated person to each of them.

His team told him what they found after two days as some of the people they were looking for are quite difficult to find. Out of the eight persons, six of them died during the army's attack on their fortress while, the two which are Micah and another woman who is also Connard's servant before were the only ones left.

They first look for the woman named Jazmine Rodriguez as she stayed much longer in Connard's camp compared to Micah Arsenio. Jazmine became a servant since four months ago.

They look for her for two days and once they found her, they only get trivial info which they couldn't use to find Connard. And, the only one left, is Micah. They look for her and they found out that she's living in a town which is an hour ride from the city.

And now, they are in front of Micah's house. They look closely and felt something is quite wrong in this house. They knocked, but no one answered.

There passed by a woman in her fifties in the street where they are on and asked her if she knows about the people living in this house.

"Oh, I passed by in this house every day. But, it's been a week since I last saw the pair of grandma and grandchild in there. I just thought that maybe they migrated somewhere. But, we haven't seen some moving trucks here.", the old woman said.

"Thank you grandma for your info, we'll just knock here again and wait", Karl said politely.

The woman bid farewell to them and they continued to ring the doorbell.

A few minutes later.....

'Crash'

They heard some noise inside the house and as they were already feeling something is quite amiss in the house, they broke the door immediately and went to where they heard the crashing sound.

'Slap. Smash. Crash'

They opened the door to the room where they heard the sound and what awaits them is a gory scene.

A woman is lying in a bed naked and there seems to be a stab on her stomach. Though faint but she's still breathing. They saw that the attacker escaped through the window.

"Go and capture him, except you, help me by driving the car. We're taking this girl to the hospital", Karl instructed his teammates and the rest also jump through the window to capture the suspect.

Karl, as he is wearing his jacket drape it to cover the girl's nakedness and went to his car together with one of his teammates, they went to the nearest hospital to save the girl in his arms.

A few hours later, the doctor said that they successfully save the woman but she's still under observation as her condition is quite fatal.

"She's still unconscious but her life is no longer in danger as of now. We just need to wait until she wakes up. And also, keep a constant look on her after she woke up, she might experience some trauma", the doctor said to Karl then bid farewell to him.

Karl went inside the woman's room. He already deduced earlier that this girl is none other than Micah and the attacker, most probably is Connard which they were looking for.

'Knock. Knock'

Someone knocked on the door which caught Karl's attention away from Micah.

"Come in", he says and the one knocking outside came in which none other than Michael, one of his teammates.

"Sir, we had succeeded in capturing the suspect. We also verified the identity of the suspect which is none other than Connard Toledo which is the leader of the ACI terrorist group which was annihilated by our army two weeks ago. He is also the same person that we were tasked to look for by our superior", Michael reported to Karl.

"Good job. Held him down in our 'usual place' and await for further instruction as I will report this to Col. Gen. Adrianno", Karl said and started to make a phone call to Nicolas while Michael saluted before leaving the room.

A few seconds later, Nicolas accepted Karl's call.

["What is it?"], Nicolas started.

"Sir, we captured Connard Toledo. He's currently detained to our 'usual place'. And, we wait for further instructions, Sir", Karl replied.

["Good job. Lock him up in our prison and also make sure that he will be alive for two weeks. I will personally punished him once, I am discharged in the hospital"], Nicolas said as he knows that he is in no shape to deal with Connard and he'll wait for another weeks till his body fully recovers so that he could get his revenge to Connard.

"Roger that, sir!", Karl said then Nicolas hanged up the phone.

Karl looked at the sleeping girl on the bed.

'*sigh*, girl, it must be hard for you. Don't worry we'll avenge you for what he did to you', Karl said then left the room.
