Zander was brought back from her thoughts when his telephone rang, . seing the caller ID he ignore the call and the put the phone to silent mode .

"Jade you have lunch meeting with the lawyer and the representatives of the Gems along with Miss Zyrine . for the signing of the out of court settlement . Please don't forget it's today at eleven thirty . " . . . " and oh . almost forgot your mother reminds that the interview for Lexie's admission to school at Three 'o'clock this afternoon . " Sheila adds hastily .

"Check! Thanks Sheila . " she almost forgotten her appointments due to her mounting workload .

She was surprised to see Zander

present in the negotiations, as she seated herself on the chair . The opposing side make it sure that they have the privacy for the discussions as they booked a private room for this . "Surely it's not necessary for CEO Chen to be present during negotiations like this . Your lawyer could come up with the same results with or without your presence . " What is the matter Jade you sound like a bitch . Jade thought to herself .

What surprised her the most was the reply Zander said . "I must be anxious to have the opportunity meet you again Miss Ho . "

she tried to cover her disgust with a sweet a smile . how dare he flirt with her in the presence of these people around them . "And what could be the reason why's the anxiety?"

Don't get me wrong Jade,,, ahh . . . can I call you Jade?" He seems to be lost in what he's saying .

"You already did CEO Chen, and whatever your reason for being 'anxious' to see me again can wait after our discussion with the matters at hand . " she said emphasizing the anxious word, earning a confused look on the people in front of them .

"Of course,,, of course, let's order first . " He said embarrassingly .

Whatever your playing at Zander I'll make sure you won't have it your way . she said to herself . and She act normally but in the back of her mind she prepares herself for whatever scenario he will hand to her .

After having their lunch they get down to the discussions both lawyers shared their views and opinions in favor of each other's client until they came up with a common decision .

"So that wraps up everything about the settlement . we will send you the revised contract of the settlement to be signed . Miss Ho? Miss Zyrine?"

Zander said for the first time, after remaining silent for the entire discussion . Although Jade actively participated in the discussions she was also aware of man observing them .

" Under other circumstances I am happy to have come up to this settlement . It's nice working with a brilliant mind like yours Miss Ho . I hope to have another chance in working with you . " Zander's lawyer declared .

"The pleasure is mine Sir Wilson, looking forward to working with you too, but not on the opposing side I hope . " They all break up in laughter to what she replied .

"Which brings me to the issue of my being present here . " Zander said as he glance at his lawyer as unspoken declaration .

"Well, that doesn't merit my presence, I guess, I'll be going if you excuse me . " attorney Wilson said, and was seconded by Zyrine .

After they left , Jade glance at her watch, she barely have twenty minutes before her next appointment which is the school admission interview for Lexie, she gave Zander an inquiring look .

"So, why are you anxious to see me again?" she asked .

"What? . . . " he answered bewildered as if he searching for what to say next, or engrossed in his thoughts that did not understand what she's saying .

"I said, why are you anxious to see me again?" she repeated .

"Oh . . . I . . . I want to propose to you . "

"What???"
