The next morning, a bunch of guards with the Inner Guards uniform gathered at the central courtyard of Lavender Palace along with a few girls . Some looked resolute, some looked excited, various emotions were on their faces . Right when some were starting to show signs of impatience, a figure stepped out of the Main Palace, clothed in a simple black robe . Her hair was tied into a simple bun with a simple green jade hairpin . As she appeared, some of the younger people gathered wanted to kneel but was stopped by a look from her . Wordlessly, she walked past them toward the gate and they followed as if she was their leader, which she was .

The decently sized group of twenty or so people stopped in front of the Shen Residence . The leading girl glanced to her side at a girl in pink who went up to their gates and knocked heavily on it . An annoyed looking head servant opened the gates . However, when there was only a crack, some of the men forcibly barged in .

"What are you doing?! This is Minister Shen's Residence! How dare you be so presumptuous!" The head servant cried out as he was pushed aside . "Guards! Guards!" He called to the guards, some of whom immediately rushed over . But the group paid no attention to them, those that blocked their way, immediately had their head separated from their body . The head servant followed them as he kept shouting and cursing them . Eventually, they stopped in front of the Master bedroom, where Shen Chiang and Shen Yue usually reside . Shen Chiang stepped out in his morning court robes with a frown .

"What is this commotion!" He yelled angrily . Seeing the group in front of him, his face blackened . "What do you people think you are doing in my residence!"

"Aiyo, what is Minister Shen doing here? Aren't you supposed to be working? Could you possibly be slacking off?" a female voice sounded from within the crowd .

Shen Chiang narrowed his eyes and tried to find who had spoken . The crowd parted in the middle and a young girl wearing a simple black robe and a green jade hairpin emerged . Shen Chiang ground his teeth .

"Shen . . . Tian . . . yu . . . " He squeezed out her name, seething in anger . "What . do . you . want . now?"

She sighed and out one hand behind her back and looked at the fingernails on her other hand . "You see, I really didn't want to make things big, but you just had to keep provoking me . So, to avoid further trouble, we've come today to settle things once and for all . "

"What do you mean?"

"That uninvited guest from late last night . . . was your doing wasn't it?" Though she had said "uninvited guest", technically he hadn't even entered Lavender Palace or her room before he was captured, but she wasn't going to tell him that .

An emotion abruptly flashed in Shen Chiang's eyes but not fast enough to escape Shen Tianyu's eyes . He quickly regained his angry demeanor .

"Hmph! I don't know what you're talking about!" He denied and turned his head away .

'You think as long as you deny it, we can't charge you?' Shen Tianyu thought with narrowed eyes full of mirth . She waved the hand she was initially looking at and another person emerged from the crowd . He was carrying a big burlap sack . He then threw the sack on the ground and the mouth of it, which he was holding onto unfurled . Out came a badly injured man with bloodstains all over his body and messy, ripped black clothes but an intact, recognizable face . "Say, this face seem somewhat familiar, Minister Shen, who do you surmise this is?"

Panic flashed through his eyes, but Shen Chiang would never admit to what he did or his reputation would really be done for, and with it, his job!

"How would I know? Aren't you just using someone to frame me?"

"Say, Ming Su, doesn't this look like the Shen Residence's Head Guard?" Shen Tianyu questioned, ignoring Shen Chiang .

"Yes, I'm very sure it's him . " Ming Su replied with a smile on her face .

With the commotion and Shen Chiang taking such a long time to resolve it, shen Yue finally emerged from the Master room . "Husband, what is going on? Making you take so long to resolve it?" She asked as she came out .

Her eyes widened when she saw what was in front of their room . Seeing Shen Tianyu, her gaze sharpened . "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, dear mother, why do you look at me like this?" Shen Tianyu cooed . Soon after Shen Luo and Shen Luoji also arrived, led by the head servant who had disappeared at some point . They ran around the crowd, who didn't make a move, and stood in front of their parents .

"Shen Tianyu, what do you want to do!" Shen Luo shouted at her . "You are also a Shen (1), how can you be so rude?!"

"A Shen?" Shen Tianyu laughed for a good while, holding her stomach . When she finally calmed down, wheezing for breath, she continued . "The other things I won't mention but, did you remember I was a Shen when you abandoned me in that courtyard? Did you remember when you sent me to the Forest? Did you remember when you had him-" She pointed to the Head Guard on the ground who hadn't moved at all, as if dead . Seeing him, Shen Luo and Shen Luoji's eyes showed some restrained fair and horror . "-to ambush me when I was only four? Did you remember when you sold me off to Lavender Palace? Did you remember when you sent him to kill me again?"

Shen Chiang's face was now as black as a pot . Shen Yue was barely restraining the anger and indignation on her face . "Now, you throw this thing at me, calling me a Shen, a family member? Who do you think you're fooling? Not even a pig is that stupid!"
