Sitting down in a couch with one leg resting on the other and a bottle of wine on the low table in front of him was a muscular man in his twenties donning a fancy light brown robe . His looks would be decent if not for the arrogant look in his eyes and the disdainful sneer on his mouth .

"Wen Ruocheng, you were thrown out yesterday day and many you come back so soon to cause trouble?" Shen Tianyu said with a cold sneer of her own .

"What trouble? I am the Young Master if the Wen family! Who dares to obstruct me? I had come here to have fun but had to look at your ugly face! How annoying!" He harrumphed .

"Young Master Wen," She started in a mocking tone, "If you are so annoyed, why are you making a ruckus only now?"

Wen Ruocheng's eyes darted around, trying to find an excuse aside from him being dazed and only coming back ti his senses now . 'Even if I was beaten to death, I wouldn't admit I was bewitched by the slut!' he vowed before clearing his throat .

"Ahem . I was just too busy enjoying this wine that I didn't notice you until now!" he retorted self-righteously, holding his head high .

Shen Tianyu covered her mouth with her sleeve and giggled . "Young Master Wen, the bottle of wine still has yet to be opened and there is no wineglass on the table or in your hand . No one would be stupid enough to believe your lie . " Before Wen Ruocheng could open his mouth, Shen Tianyu continued mocking him . "In addition, Manager Sung had introduced me a while ago and everyone heard . Please don't tell me you didn't hear it . " Shen Tianyu then put on a look as if she had an epiphany . "Oh my! Could it be Young Master Wen has hearing loss? Oh no! How sad your parents would be to learn that you lost your hearing at such a young age!" Shen Tianyu said with a face and tone full of worry .

"You, you," Wen Ruocheng pointed a finger at her, shaking from anger, not finding the words to continue .

But since Young Master Wen is dumb, even if everyone at your father's residence repeats the same thing for twenty years, you still wouldn't remember it right?" Shen Tianyu said, looking at him with pitiful eyes .

Wen Ruocheng choked on his words . Even if he didn't know what "busting a vein" meant, with the context of the sentence, he could guess it wasn't anything good . 'This slut dares to keep calling me dumb!' "You, this slut! You have no shame!" He managed to yell, pointing a shaking finger at her .

Shen Tianyu then dabbd at her eyes with her sleeves . "His could Young Master Wen call me shameless? It is clearly Young Master Wen that keeps twisting a knife in my sore spot . Keep bringing up that I was sold off by my father . Sniff . " She made some crying noises as she covered her face with her sleeves . "Young Master Wen is so cruel . You twist a knife in my wound, sprinkle salt on it and still call me shameless . Young Master Wen, how did your parents teach you?!!" Shen Tianyu shouted as she ran upstairs .

Wen Ruocheng was left standing with a gaping mouth as everyone in the room glared at him . 'I was going to try to court her today and this bastard ruined it! Now I have to compete with even more people tomorrow when word gets out! Useless thing!' many of the male customers reprimanded him in their heads as they glared at him .

'Damned thing! Not only do you not listen to Manager Sung and undermine Lavender Palace . You even made Tian Feng cry! See how I deal with you!' was the thought of quite a few of the courtesans . Though they had only known her for a little bit, many had already warmed up to her somewhat because of her cheerful and warm personality . Feeling the glares at his back, Wen Ruocheng sat back down and tried to shrink as small as possible, though it didn't quite work out because of his size . Seeing him embarassed, a few customers didn't bother with him anymore and turned back to converse with the beauties near them or in their arms . It took the courtesans a little longer to stop glaring and went back to servicing their customers .

Shen Tianyu sighed as she closed her door . She then sat down on the bed and began cultivating in her space . She couldn't go to the back mountain at this time anyways .

A while later, just as she was going to advance to Level 4, a knock sounded on the door . Albeit annoyed, she still came out if her space and went to open the door . All the employees at Lavender Palace assumed she was living in a remote corner of the second floor . Only members of Yaodu knew she will actually be living on the third floor, in the Birds of Paradise room . There was no way the loyal members of Yaodu would reveal her actual room to anyone, and it's not like anyone could force it out of them . The Outer Guards of Lavender Palace were considered experts in Nang Zhou, and Yaodu members were above them so, no one, in the kingdom at least, could possibly incentivize or force it out of them .

Assuming it was an important matter, Shen Tianyu irritably opened the door, only to find Ming Su standing there with a worried face . The pink-robed servant girl hurriedly spoke .

"I'm sorry for disturbing you Miss, I was just worried Miss was upset about what that worthless brat from the Wen family said . I just wanted to check on Miss . . . " Ming Susu trailed off as she peeked up at Shen Tianyu, her head still bowed down . Shen Tianyu initially had a surprised face, then, she broke into light laughter .

"Pfft, hahaha . You really think I was upset about that? Didn't I tell everyone before I left? I will get him to sell me off! I had concocted the plan myself, why would I be sad?" Shen Tianyu questioned in amusement, her earlier irritation evaporating .

"But Miss, being sold off by your own father must have been hard . . . " Ming Su flustered .

Shen Tianyu patted her on the head . "Well, I'm not, ok? In fact, I'm quite happy I don't have to stay in that hellhole . Aren't I smiling more now?"

"Y-yes . . . " Ming Su bowed her head guiltily . "I'm sorry for disturbing Miss . . . " Her body bent down in a bow but Shen Tianyu caught her .

"Don't be . I'm glad you and everyone worries about me . " Shen Tianyu said with a smile . Ming Su blushed with a happy expression on her face . Shen Tianyu then turned toward the stairway . "Even if you try to hide and act like it was nothing . " she continued .
