"They try to slander you and then do something like this . Aren't they calling you inferior?!"

"How can you say that? Didn't they place you first?" In other words, they can deflect any calls of people claiming they saw others not of the royal family as inferior . After all, didn't they place an outsider as first? They would also be currying favor with a potential powerful cultivator . It's two birds with one stone .

Shen Tianyu sighed and put her teacup, along with the saucer down on the table, a little harder than necessary to get their attention before they spun up a plan completely on their own . "This matter concerns me . Why are the both of you so much more emotional about this than me? I said I don't care already . Just let it go . Besides, the Managers are busy with managing their respective businesses, we can't just drag them into these insignificant messes whenever we please . They'll know their place once the Competition starts anyways . " Shen Tianyu reprimanded the two of them . It really seemed like she and her subordinate had completely switched their personalities today . The usually emotional Shen Tianyu was as calm as a lake on a summer day, while the usually ice-cold and silent Luo Shue was as fiery as a bonfire .

That old geezer of hers was adamant that a girl must dress herself up when appropriate and bought a bunch of clothes and cloth to be made into clothes before . He kept insisting that even if she didn't look good underneath the clothes, she must still dress beautifully in order to rope in a husband . Otherwise, he'd never have a grandchild . They could worry about the husband being repulsed later, was what he had said .

Shen Tianyu just saw all the clothes as formal wear and thought it might come in handy one day so she also didn't refuse too adamantly . Her father was doing it for her, more or less, anyways .

As for Rong Jian . . . he could just borrow one of the Head Manager's robes . He's sure to have some anyways . If it doesn't fit, they could just adjust it some .
