Keith went through the pending notifications in his mind and then looked at his own details. 

{Fate: 666 (Black) + 8345 (Rising Trend).}

He sighed in his heart and shook his head in disappointment. 

Things did get out of hand, but it still paid off. However, he no longer had any intention of toying around with a Child of Destiny with such a powerful weapon at his disposal. 

Luckily, this world was the basest of the worlds, and Kylian was very weak too. Otherwise, the Space Portal summoned by the Spirit Eyes would have been powerful beyond his control. 

Yes, he was prepared, but it still caught him off guard that the Child of Destiny would become near Invincible in the face of death. It was unlike what happened with Ye Tian, but it was reasonable. 

Keith had drained that stupid Child of Destiny of almost all his Fate Value before he butchered him, but it was not the same for Kylian, who still had a decent amount of Fate Value on him. In the end, it enabled him to receive some help from the Law of Destiny. 

As the System had said, had he attempted to kill Kylian a month ago, he would have had an easier time, but Destiny would have still lent its favourite child a hand. 

Things were not that simple and they were quite complicated. On one hand, he knew very well that the Fate Value was very precious and indispensable, and on the other hand, he knew that giving time to a child of Destiny to Grow and awaken such a weapon was not wise. And even if he decided to kill one immediately, someone who possessed a powerful weapon like Spirit Eyes, it could prove disastrous since they would have their Fate Value on them which would call for Destiny to lend them a hand.

But he had now decided to not toy around too much with any Child of Destiny who possesses such a powerful weapon in case there is a short time limit on the quest. 

The Fate Value was definitely not worth the risk, and over time, as their Weapons awaken, and he knows that he can not drain them of all their Fate Value in that duration, he would rather take the risk to kill such a Child of Destiny immediately than to wait for the weapon to awaken some more. 

Had there been no fear of Kylian leaving this world within the next 5 months since he received the Quest, it would have not been such a close call in the end. 

He could have drained Kylian of all his Fate Value, and Destiny would have not lent him a hand by forcefully awakening the Spacial Powers of the Spirit Eyes.

"System. How much time is left until Yexuan Parker's Invincible Halo wears off." He grimly asked. 

{It is estimated that Yexuan still has 28-30 months left before his Invincible Halo wears off.} 

Keith sighed in his heart at those words.

Two and a half years was a long time, and Yexuan was undoubtedly going to be a threat by the time his Invincible Halo wears off. 

And the weapon he possessed was just as powerful if not more than the Eyes of Spirit; The Steele of Time and Space.

"If I want to bind the Steele of Time and Space to myself, I only have to go through the Test. It does not have anything to do with affinity, right?" 

{Yes, Host. But to utilise the full potential of such a Divine Treasure, one needs to have an affinity for it.} 

"How much is Yexuan's affinity with it?" 

{50%.}

"And it is meant to rise throughout his journey?" 

{To an extent, Yes. It is only going to rise to a level of 75% even with all the interventions from Fate.}

"Why not 100%?" 

{Destiny has its Plans, Host. The Children of Destiny, most of them, who possess such Powerful Weapons, do not have a 100% affinity with them. Your wife, Amelia, is the true Inheritor of Runic Monarch, but she was only ever going to possess 25% of his Bloodline even after attaining his complete Inheritance. Though she has a 100% Affinity with the legacy as she is a True Inheritor, she would still have been unable to utilise its full potential.} The System informed him, and he was not too surprised at those words. {The same was the case with Kylian Dusk. His affinity with the Eyes of Spirit was only ever going to rise to a level of 75%, and currently, it was only at 30%.} 

"And Amelia's affinity with the Eyes of Spirit is 100%?" 

{Yes, Host. And it is thanks to her being the True Inheritor of the Runic Monarch.}

"Why Kylian then?" 

{The Destiny has its Plans, Host. They are there for a reason. Each plan must be in accordance with the Divine Laws.} 

"Is that so?" He smiled at those words. "Then why are you using me to disrupt those plans? Would that not put me at odds with the Divine Laws?" 

{The System is not using you, Host. It was born with you and was meant for you. Your question can not be answered in detail right now, but you can rest assured that you will never find yourself truly at odds with any of the Divine Laws because of The Fate Devouring System.} 

"I see." Keith saved the answer in his mind and then entered the System Inventory to take a good look at the golden orb of light floating inside it. 

These were the Eyes of Spirit. One of the most powerful weapons in existence. Though it could be classified as a Treasure too, it was definitely a weapon capable of great things. Great and terrifying things.

It was a relief that it would remain in the possession of someone he trusted with his life. But he was a little disappointed that he could not use it himself. 

Keith opened his eyes after he was done going through the System, and he smiled when the first thing he saw was a pair of gorgeous black eyes staring right back at him. 

"Good morning!" He cheerfully said and watched the girl who had been caught looking at him burn in a scarlet blush. 

"Good morning, Master." She did not avert her eyes despite her shyness and stared right into his haunting Amethyst orbs. 

"Come here." He said, and Minami subconsciously leaned in. 

Just as her face was a few inches away from his, he lifted his head from her lap and planted a kiss on her cheek, a little too close to her lips. 

The adorable girl smiled at his action and finally shied her eyes away, and he could hear her heart racing in happiness. 

"How long have I slept for?" He asked. 

"13 hours, Master." She replied to him. 

"Did you get rid of the body?" 

"Yingying did. She eliminated all traces of it." She was clearly not bothered by what she saw when she found him sleeping in the woods, holding a dead under his arm. 

She had helped him clean up and get changed into his Pyjamas, and she had then stayed with him all the while he slept. 

Minami informed him about the disturbances his actions created last night. 

He had used his Godly Powers, and some people in the Sect had felt them and rushed to the location. 

She and Yingying immediately brought him back to the cottage after eliminating all the traces of Kylian, and they made sure that no one sensed them entering the Sect's premises despite the high alert it was put under after the strange phenomenon where everything had turned eerily silent and dark. 

"Master, are we going back to Arkton City now?" She asked, and Keith curiously looked at her, sensing that she had something on her mind. 

"Not really. Depends on what you have on your mind. I am free for the next two months." He told her and waited for her to speak what was on her mind. 

"Would you train me for a few weeks?" She asked, a little hopeful. 

Keith was already training her along with other girls, but he could tell that she wanted to train with him alone. 

He could guess the reason behind it as well. After all, he had forbidden her from using any of her Powers in front of the other girls. 

It was the same thing he had asked Venessa to exercise control over. 

"What are your intentions, my dear Minami?" He playfully smiled and looked right into her eyes. "Are you planning on seducing me like one of the Princesses in those stories?" 

His words made her cheek bloom again in a blush, and a sweet smile crept on her lips. 

"I don't want to seduce you." She shook her head, and her next words stirred his heart with warmth and temptation. "I wish that you accept me only when you desire me, Master. And even if it takes an eternity for that day to come, I would honestly wait for it by your side." 

"Is that so?" He smiled brightly and then in a swift motion, got up and pulled her into his lap, looking right into his eyes as he stroked her cheekbone with his thumb. 

"Has my Minami fallen in love with her Father?" He asked as he looked at her with all the warmth he held for her in his heart. 

"She has been in love with her Father for a while now." She replied, shying her eyes away, but had to look at him again when he pulled her chin up. 

"Say it." He commanded and despite all the shyness, Minami stared right into his eyes and instinctively clutched onto his shirt before speaking out what she had been holding in her heart. 

"I am in love with you, Father." 

Keith smiled at her words and leaned in, sealing her lips in her first-ever kiss.

She felt so right to him. And tasted so right that it was like she was made for him. 

He sipped onto her lips in a gentle yet passionate manner, and a couple of minutes later, when they separated, he pressed his forehead against hers and loved how she giggled as she failed to contain her happiness. 

"You know. It won't take you much effort to make me fall in love with you, my dear Minami." He chuckled as he told her that, and his words only added to her happiness. 

"I will work hard, Master." She diligently replied, changing the adress again as she returned to her Maid persona, and he could not help but laugh some more at how his adorable little Minami could now throw a playful jab back at him.

"Let's start working on it now. You will help me wash today." He told her, and it immediately wiped the smile from her face. 

Her heart thumped hard against her chest when he picked her up and headed straight into the bathroom. But despite all her shyness and nervousness, she was only happy in her heart as evidenced by the adorable blush on her face.
