Tyrant 36 Battle for the Mine part 5

"Safety is our first priority, if we feel that he is impossible for us to beat, scout leader Aya will step in and defeat it. Lets do our best and try to not get hit by that copper club"

Bhirl try his best to encourage the team and got ready to charge in along side the other shield warrior. By now the six remaining members of the team had developed a little bit of chemistry with each other and were getting better and better at working together.

Since Bhirl was the stronger of the two, it was his responsibility to test the strength of the Kobold. All six members move inside the room and stood in the middle looking at their opponent. When the Elite Kobold saw who had come in to challenge him, it didn't feel the need to Rawr as they were nothing but ants in his eyes.

The Kobold grabbed his club and moved steadily towards the group. Bhirl prepared to receive the first blow of the fight and used his Strengthen Defense on the shield.

Thump!!!!

When club met shield the sound released by the collision was very muffled. The only thing that indicated that something had happened was the fact that one moment Bhirl was standing in front of them and the next he was sliding down the wall.

HaR! HaR!

If the Kobold could speak he would be trash talking the puny Barbarian that try to stop his attack with that tiny shield. As the Kobold swung the other way with a back hand swing, the second shield warrior decided to dodge the hit with a side roll but was nailed by a kick that send him flying backwards.

Rahz used this time to send a vertical slash towards the extended leg of the Elite but his Axe bounced of like it had hit a metal wall.

Rahz looked at the leg of the Kobold, the energy that covered it during his swing was dissipating. This opponent was not only powerful but was calm and methodical in his fighting. The next move left Rahz with his jaw wide opened. It was his favorite move taken to a whole new level.

MOVE BACK!!!!

Whoooosh... Whooossh.... Whooosh

There was not doubt about it, it was Cyclone on steroids. There was not only one or two or three spins, it looked like a spinning top and the momentum created by each spin actually created a vacuum that attracted the Task Team towards the spinning Club.

Rahz warned the team on time and they were able to be on the outer edge of the cyclone so nobody was caught inside the meat grinder.

Arne was incredibly focus on the fight and when he saw the Kobold with signs of vertigo after using the skill, he attacked the Kobold's eyes viciously. The Task Team had killed hundreds of Kobolds during the expedition and had become very efficient at it.

Clink!

The sound of the dagger bouncing of the eyelids of the Kobold surprised Arne to the extreme and the slap that came after surprised him even more.

Arne parry using his daggers and did a few somersaults backwards to get some distance from the enemy while Rahz tried a horizontal sweep towards the legs hoping to trip the Kobold but not even a Devastating Blow manage to penetrate the defensive energy around the creature's body.

The Kobold recuperated from his spinning vertigo and looked around the room trying to find the person furthest away from him. Once he locked on to that person the Kobold leaped to the location and try to stomp on them with massive force.

Boom!!!

The room shook from the impact but fortunately Bhirl had rolled out of the way before becoming a blood stain on the walls of the mine. Bhirl didn't try to use his shield against the Kobold's attacks anymore and instead opted to deflect everything and anything that was not a swing with that massive club.

Besides the explosive power displayed on the couple of leaps around the room, the Kobold didn't move fast at all. Blaire and the other healer manage to land Icy Winds and Weakness on the enemy repeatedly until the impairment finally stuck on the target.

The encounter became a fight of attrition between the Task Team and the Elite Kobold to see who would run out of energy first. With the detrimental spells it was relatively easy for the team to anticipated the moves of the Kobold and get out of the way.

Seeing his attacks being evaded time and time again enraged the creature to no end. The Kobold reached the end of his patient and stop chasing the annoying flies that would just not die.

RAWR!!!

The Elite Kobold gathered massive amount of Energy and coupled with the rage that he was feeling at not being able to finish the fight quickly activated a version of the Berserker combat art Pulverization Wave.

The skill went off and created an energy wave that lifted part of the ground up in three different directions and move it a long a straight line that hit anything in his path inflicting massive damage. Bhirl and the other shield warrior used their shield to stop 2 of the paths from hitting the healers but the Earth waves hit the shields like a truck with no breaks down a hill.

The Shield warrior flew backwards and hit the person that he was trying to protect. Even though the fall was broken by the healer the internal damage suffer by the hit made him puke blood before passing out.

The healer was a little bit better from the hit but was a little dazed and got scared after seeing all the blood coming from the unconscious teammate laying on the ground. He quickly cast his healing spell and removed the Warrior from the room so he wouldn't be a burden to the rest of the team.

Bhirl was in a lot better condition but the skill did managed to displace his organs a little bit and he had to take a second to recover. In the mean time Rahz attacked once again to call the attention of the Kobold and give his team some time to recuperate and get back into the fight.

"Ooooh he is finally running out of energy, look at this I finally left a cut on his skin".

"Where is it?"

"Where is what?"

"The cut you said you left on him... Wait! Did it close already "

"Hey don't be hater Arne you can't even stab his eye and is its weakness...LUH SHHER"

!!!

With the other Shield Warrior out of the fight there were only 5 people left and a little more room to move. The slows kept coming and the rage on the Elite kept building, little by little Rahz had been cutting into the back of its legs and Arne had been trying to stab his eyes constantly.

For the Kobold it was like having two mosquitos constantly trying to suck his blood and was annoying as hell.

The status quo continued for another 30 minutes until Rahz finally got through the skin and left a wound that actually register as damage in the Kobolds brain. The Elite went into overdrive and used a faster move than what he had used throughout the fight and basically tackled Rahz into a wall. Rhaz hit the wall and immediately roll to the side but his shoulder was dislocated.

Bhirl quickly move in and attack the Kobold with a Bash from his shield making it moved backwards while Arne help Rahz towards the door where Blaire was.

"We might need to call it and have scout leader finished it off, without Rahz we don't do enough damage"

" I am not out of the fight yet, we are just starting. Arne just POP my shoulder back in and Blaire cast healing it would be alright trust me".

Arne and Blaire looked at each other but still proceeded with the treatment.

AHHH! Sweat came down Rahz's Forehead but he was now able to continue fighting.

The kobold energy tank was getting empty and it was the moment to attack more ferociously. After a few hours of fighting the patterns and abilities had all being learned by the team and if it wasn't for the fact that the skin was as tough as mail armor the Kobold wouldn't have last that long.

All throughout the encountered, the importance of the healer's Icy Winds and Weakness shone through. Rahz kept cutting deep in to the back of the legs of the creature and when he hit the bone the eyes of the creature shone with a red light and the impairment were remove immediately.

With a burst of speed and not impairment it starting ramping about in the room. There was no pattern to his attacks anymore there was just power but every swing of the club send small air bullets forward.

The Task Team bob and weave in between the the bullets and parry what they couldn't.

BOOM!! BANG!!

Every time the Kobold charged and hit the walls, the room shook and pieces of ceiling felt down towards the ground. One of the bigger pieces hit Blaire on the head and knocked her out of commission as well.

When everything was set and done the Elite stood in the center of the room panting and without energy.

Rahz and the others look like hungry wolves staring at their prey before tearing apart. Rahz was the first to rush in but it was all a feint, the Kobold turned and swung his club horizontally at him but there was no opponent to be hit. Instead, Arne and Bhirl kept working on the Kobolds legs in a guerrilla warfare faction.

15 minutes of grueling attacks paid off when Bhirl was able to knock the Elite with a Shield Bash that sent the tree falling down to the ground.

Crash!!

No opportunity need it to be wasted and Rahz more than anybody knew this truth. He rush towards the Kobold and used leap to get some air and came chopping down on the back of the neck. The head roll on the ground and the remaining members of the Task Team sat on the floor and sighed in relief.

It was all over.
