Tyrant 34 Battle for the Mine part 3

This time there was no barrage of bullets since there was only two people attacking him but Every shot was wrapped with energy increasing the penetrating power of it. Bhirl held on to his shield with everything he got while they moved the Kobold into position. It was now Blaire and the other healers turn to show their skill, they had to anticipate the precise moment the Kobold jumped backwards and cast the spell before hand so that it could hit the enemy at the right time. Sweat came down Blaire's forehead as she started casting Icy Winds alongside the other Healer.

As soon as the Kobold landed he was assailed by a coldness that started creeping towards his bones but the Fur on his body stopped the spell and a layer of frost formed on its Metallic sheen but it didn't penetrated any further than that.

Blaire's spell was resisted!! It had never happened in the past and of all times to occur, this particular one could not have been any worst.

Rahz looked at Blaire and said, "What are you doing mopping about for, cast another and another until it sticks".

Fortunately, the spell cast by the second healer was able to penetrated a little bit but not enough to slow the movement speed by much. Blaire and the other healer cast Icy Wind after Icy wind in such a Rhythm that after the 6th one a full movement speed of 30% was achieved.

"Now cast Weakness!!" The healers were knock out of their stupor and landed the spell. Weakness was a spell of the disease line and was not affected by the Metallic fur of the Kobold so it didn't take long to take effect.

Bhirl move quickly towards the Kobold that had his movement speed and attack speed crippled and with the momentum from the run slammed into the Elite with a Shield Bash.

Boom!!

Bhirl felt like he was hitting a wall, his arm went numb but he still managed to knock the Rock Thrower of balance. Right at that moment 2 shadows passed by Bhirl and attacked the Kobold's eyes.

Rahz and Arne timed it perfectly however the Elite was able to swat one out of the way and only lost one of his eyes.

WHIMPER SHREECH!

While the Kobold screamed and Rahz switch to his 2h Axe and attacked using Cyclone but the damage was minimal, this time only the momentum of the third spin managed to cut into the creature.

It had being a long time since the Kobold had felt any type of pain whatsoever and what infuriated him the most was that some low level ants were the ones to do it. The Rock Thrower gathered energy around both his arms and took a piece of Iron ore that was hanging from his chest.

OH SHIT!! MOVE BACK!!!

Rahz recognized the piece of ore in the hands of the Rock thrower and knew that it was something special, for the Elite Kobold to be willing to used it for an attack meant that it was his trump Card.

The Energy gathered in both arms was quickly transferred to the piece of Iron Ore.

The Rock Thrower jumped into the air and threw the piece of Iron Ore like he was throwing a baseball.

Massive Blast!!

The ore looked like a meteor coming down the air and it had massive momentum. Bhirl was getting ready to receive the projectile with his energy encase shield but he was suddenly tackle by Aya that move him out of the way.

Everyone get down!!

BOOOOM!!!!

The ore hit the ground creating a small crater and sending bits and pieces of material in all directions that went a foot inside the walls. Some of the shrapnel hit the airborne Rock thrower as well creating deep wounds all around his body.

Blaire and the other healer quickly appeared inside the room and saw the battered appearance of the Kobold and cast their spells once more to make sure there were no mishaps while the other members of the team got back on their feet.

Rahz got up from the ground and rush towards the elite mob like a wild beast that smell weakness on his prey. The rock thrower saw him coming an grabbed 4 pieces of copper and hurled them towards Rahz who performed a forward barrel roll to evade them, Rahz then followed with a horizontal Weakening Blow to decreased the slashing resistance of the elite. Out of the corner of his eye Rahz caught sight of the incoming Arne and opted for an upward Devastating Blow instead of the classic Cyclone so that Arne could engaged the opponent from the back.

The Kobold managed to use his hands to parry Rahz's upward swing but was caught by surprised by Arne who attacked its neck from the back. The dagger went in deep inside the Kobolds neck but Arne was not able to remove it before the Kobold reached for it.

Rahz kept the pressure on the Elite by sweeping at his feet and was successful in knocking it off balance.

The coupe de grace was a downward swing by a 2 handed Axe to the face.

POP!

The skull of the Kobold was split like a watermelon and the other healer couldn't help but turn his face away. Even though they had killed wild beast before, there were very few people that were as uncut and savage while doing it as Rahz.

Rahz stood beside the corpse with a face full of ecstasy as a massive wave of Energy Experience flowed towards him. The amount of energy a First Evolution creature had was more than ten times the amount of a pre-evolution one.

Rahz received the energy and check his progress towards his first evolution and was stoke. With the energy gathered so far, he was almost half way through the Level and there were still many rooms left to clear.

After receiving his Energy Experience Rahz started to help the people around and started looking for anything valuable that they might be able to sell to village. The piece of Iron Ore Used by the Elite in that final skill was shattered and the majority of the pieces were deep inside the walls.

The pouch full of copper in a corner of the room was definitely a plus. There were around 80 pieces all together and there was another small bag connected to the waist of the Kobold in what it looked like very rustic belt. Rhaz checked the small bag and found 3 pieces of iron ore and a very peculiar tooth.

Aya stood outside the room and gave space to the team to sort all their issues and talk about the distribution of the spoils. Since there was a lot of stuff that was unequal in value it was very difficult to distribute right then and there so Bhirl proposed to take an inventory of all the material acquired so far and then sell it to the village and finally distribute the money into equal parts.

The proposal was very fair and nobody complained about the people that got injured getting an equal cut since they were all a team. They were a band of brothers and everything that could be divided was divided into equal parts.

Rahz sense of "cool" had always been very different from the other kids around his age and ever since he found that peculiar tooth he did not stop playing with it. The tooth was extremely smooth to the touch, was about 3 inches long and looked to be black in color but a closer inspection would show that it was in fact a very dark purple.

Rahz steeled his heart and asked the group, " Guys I have a request, I would like to keep this tooth we got and exchange it for the portion of the loot that belongs to me. Would that be OK with everybody?".

Everyone turned to look at the tooth in Rahz's hand and thought that he was really stupid to exchange his substantial amount of wealth for something so insignificant. Only Bhirl found it odd as for the past 3 years all he heard Rahz talk about was making money to spend in his trip to the town nearby and now he was refusing it all for a worthless tooth.

"Are you sure Rahz? Don't you want the money to spend on your trip?"

Rahz did a victory sign and said, "Huhuhu!!! I am already rich".

Bhirl smiled and agreed to the trade. It just dawn on him that Rahz had been hunting in the mine for so long who knows how much money he had gotten and he even found the Iron ore that prompt it the whole expedition.

After Bhirl did the inventory for all the loot including the corpse of the Elite Kobold that could make high quality armor, he finally had time to rest while Blaire and the other healer assessed the condition of the injured members.
