Tyrant 189 The Tenebrous Sanctum part 6

The plan needed it the slaves to riot so they could continue to kill the Scaleborns but this threw a wrench into their plans. The groups going to investigate the disappearance of their comrades were bound to return and security might be reinforced.

Rahz didn't like to play the bully but there was nothing else he could think of. He walked towards the trembling slave with his axe in hand and said, "Either you do what we say or I kill you right now, you have 3 seconds to decide"

" Please Sir, the captain will kill us if we disobey their rules"

One…

"I am but a lonely slave"

Two… Rahz raise his axe

"I…I can't"

Three….

Rahz swung his axe down, but right before it cut the slave in two, another voice sounded sounded in the back.

"We'll do it"

The axe stopped midair and a smiled was plaster in Rahz's face that caused shivers down the slave spines. The smile of a giant Scaleborns with razor like teeth was something out of a children's nightmare.

"Good, you are responsible for convincing the other groups, now let's go"

The slaves were not weak by any means but they were like a tiger without teeth or claws when confronted with the might of the poison dragon, ruler of a land in the sky.

The drums started playing once more and the enhancement covered all 500 slaves that felt their speed increased and were filled with awe at the wondrous magic. The second slave group was actually inside one of the mountains surrounding the sanctum but this didn't stop Rahz and the others from going in and slaughtering every single guard present, 10 minutes later they came out 1000 slaves strong.

According to the other slaves, they were exactly 10 camps each with 500 slaves carefully selected and brought over from the land below where the inferior races lived. Rahz thought about the information given by the slave but he determined it was inconsequential to the mission so he just ignored it and continued his assault.

The camps felt really fast and they manage to hit 3 before the Scaleborns realized that there was something wrong.

"Captain, there seems to be a problem with the slaves"

A 20 ft scaleborn that was significantly bigger than the others was sitting inside a stone building drinking wine.

"What seems to be the problem"

The captain of the Scaleborns responsible for the administration of the outer area got his position by being the son of the Grand Priest but that didn't take away from his ability to command troops. His dad merely gave him the position that would of being his ahead of time.

"There are at least 1500 of them attacking us and trying to gather the support of the other slaves… I think they are trying to rebel, captain!!"

"I see … Inferior creatures that don't appreciate the great opportunity given by Lord Venekius don't deserve to live. Kill them all, then travel down to the slums and kill their families and friends".

"Yes, Sir!"

The subordinate went out of the building and tried to gather the guards that numbered around 500 but it was already too late. While the scaleborns that had never worried about anything since they had started working in the outer part of the sanctum started to get ready, 1500 Frog like humanoids started attacking and there were two Bonemire Dragonkin leading the charge.

The situation was changing every minute and very soon there were 3 slaves for every guard and some of them didn't even have time to grab their weapons. The pickaxes given to the slaves were made of the same Black Onyx material used to make guard weapons and they tore through the dragonkin skin like a hot knife through butter.

The dragonkin never imagine that one day, the tiny creatures they looked at with disdain could muster the courage to attack them and that they were very strong. The years mining ore gave the slaves not only amazing strength but also a high proficiency with the pickaxe that would leave the bravest warrior scared. In a matter of seconds, the Scaleborns legs would be perforate at the tight or on the calf and if they were brought down to the floor, a rain of sharp tools took their lives.

The captain and his 2 assistants heard the commotion outside their stone building and when they stepped out all they saw was chaos. The Dragonkin were violent by nature so when they looked around and saw all the fighting, they just smiled, moved towards the nearest slave and started swinging.

In the captain's eyes, 5000 slaves were not enough to defeat him when he was together with his two helpers but seeing so many enemies still got his blood boiling. With every second that passed, more and more slaves came from the different camps and overwhelmed the guards that started dropping like flies.

It was just a matter of time until Rahz and Riddick locked eyes with the captain and a very loud scream came out.

"YOU BONEMIRE BASTARD, I AM GOING TO SKIN YOU ALIVE"

The weapon of choice for Captain Halar was a giant club with spikes all over the surface. Ripping skin from bone with every swing was his preferred way to inflict damage and many beast suffered in his hands.

"I'll take the one in the middle"

It was very uncharacteristic of Riddick to be so forward in choosing an opponent so Rahz switch gears and prepare to attack the other two.

Thump … thump … thump

The sound of drums got closer and closer and the captain and his followers stop for a second to see where the sound was coming from and they didn't have to wait too long before they saw two more Bonemire Scaleborns arrived at the scene.

HA HA HA!!

"I've never seen such a tiny Scaleborn before, What is going on with Lord Nefarous? I guess if I had a pet like you, I will keep you around to have a laugh every once in a while"

Jazz's face turned ugly and rapidly started changing the instrument and twisting 5 songs. It was a new record for Jazz and probably outside the limits of what it was possible in the realm; however, the two pieces of the avatar set increased his dexterity allowing him to reach new heights.

FADALL'S WHISTLING WARSONG increasing attack speed, strength and vitality

ACCELERANDO increasing movement speed

ELEMENTAL RHYTHMS increasing elemental resistance to fire, ice, and other types of elements that appeared in nature.

CONSONANT CHAIN decreasing the movement speed and attack speed of the enemy.

The 3 Scaleborns felt their bodies become constraint as if a bunch of invisible chains were attached to their limbs slowing down all their movements.

PERFORMANCE RESONANCE increased the effect of all of Jazz's song by 190%.

The Scaleborns' scales provided great magic resist but thanks to the avatar items and their boost to the song effects, the boost and the magic resist managed to cancel each other out and the detrimental song affected the captain at its normal strength.

The Scaleborn healer started to cast beneficial spells but it didn't get to cast two before 100 wind dragons came crashing down his back.

Clank... Clank... Clank

Bato's skill hit the wings of the Healer and did little damage but they achieved purpose which was to stop the casting of beneficial spells that could potentially mitigate the effects of their songs.

Rahz also disappeared from his spot and reappeared from the shadows of the other assistant while Riddick marched towards the Captain increasing his size to 35 ft.

The smile on the captain's face finally faded and he got serious. The size of a scaleborn dictated their strength 80 % of the time and since he was the biggest out of everyone fighting a couple of seconds before, he felt confident that he could defeat anyone present.

The change in the size of his opponent left him flabbergasted and in dire straits as his confidence was hit and the fight or flight feeling came rushing in.

Captain Halar was not a coward so he chose to put his life on the line and prepared his most powerful attack from the get go.
