Tyrant 159 Confrontation

The troops crossed over the ravine and continued to move forward and gained ground, they had to quickly leave the area where the canyon was directly to their backs which in an intense battle it could mean their lives since it cut their path of retreat, it was important to get a better position.

The troops of the Asura side were not the most discipline bunch but they understood when to goof around and when to get serious. In a sense, the forest really play to their advantage which was guerrilla tactics as oppose to the deva that prefered organized military action.

"Make sure we got a map of the area and see if there high grounds we can take" said Liz

Jazz continued to follow The Ronin while having his mount send sonic waves looking for the enemy and he finally found them making their way about 100 miles from the Ravine. People were coming out of a portal and spreading out in a very organized manner with the shield warrior classes first that were ready to activate their defensive skills at a moments notice.

Jazz activated his movement song and head it back to his own camp to informed them of what he had seen. The discipline of the troops were pretty impressive to say the least as not everyone in the squads he saw were regular people in the army but they had adapted pretty decently to the lifestyle during the year they had in basic training.

The Ronin arrived at the camp and waited for the person in charge of the transfer as well as the leaders of the different squads to report what he had seen and take command of the troops.

The transfer of 30,000 troops was done relatively quickly and by the time the last person crossed over, the leaders were already on a tent discussing the way they should move to encounter the enemy.

The first problem on their table was if they should wait for the enemy to come to them and counter-attack them or if they should move forward and force them towards the canyon so they could annihilate them when they had nowhere to run.

"I believe that the strength of our defensive warriors is second to none and under their protection we can push the enemy back while sustaining minimal loses". Said the Leader of the shield classes.

"The Evil Alignment bastards are extremely tricky to handle, do you really think that they would go toe to toe with us, not to mention they arrived before us and have a home court advantage if we push forward we might be falling into a trap that we cannot get out off, I vote to let them come to us, we can set up a very organized defensive system and not worry about falling into a trap".

"What if we get surrounded, if they have necromancers a war of attrition won't be beneficial to us and every casualty will refilled their ranks not to mention those pesky defilers and their poison element, we will be sitting ducks".

The Ronin quietly listen to the opinion of the division leader and thought it a little bit more before deciding to move forward, they couldn't wait for the enemy to get settle and it was better to die in battle than smoked out by poison and not only that, they were in Asura territory and once the element of surprise was gone the Asuras could send more reinforcements.

"Prepare to move! we are attacking immediately… Send the flying division to scout"

WHOOSH!!!

The Ronin drew his sword and send an energy blade to one side of the room and destroyed the wall of the tent before a deranged laughed and a shadow bolt came flying and was easily caught in half.

"Not bad but you miss…enjoy your evening, it would be your last"

"What was that?" asked the leaders of the divisions.

"A demon" said the Ronin.

The leaders were scared witless, they had no idea that it was there all along and if it wasn't cause she was about to move into the nether to leave even the samurai wouldn't have notice.

Hennessy flew as fast as she could while holding onto her bleeding shoulder, if it wasn't that she was almost into the nether by the time the attack came she would have died then and there.

The moment she went back to the team, she was immediately attended to by Elune and the rest of the group just waited for her to say what happened, "They are coming to attack us and should be within range in about and 5 hours. I counted at least 40,000 strong but I didn't see anyone as strong as the person that fought the phantom".

"Well done, now just sit and rest and leave the rest to us for now"

"How are the tunnels going, the enemy is coming!"

"Everything is going according to plan Commander, they should be ready by the time the enemy enters the strike zone".

The forces led by the Ronin started moving with a small air unit travelling ahead of the team in a V formation while the shield warriors travelled in the front and close combat classes such as berserkers and other scouts travel a little behind. There was an empty space behind the close combat fighters of about 10 ft and then the healers were in formation mounted in white horses while they were surrounded by archers on both sides leaving a buffer of 10 ft between them. The mages came next followed by another squad of archers bringing up the rear.

The floor tremble as the army marched forward and the warriors cut down the trees that stood in front of them indiscriminately. Among the Close combat fighters were also Bards using their drums not only to intimidate their enemies but to replenish the stamina and increased their movement speed.

The morale was at his peak when sounds of fighting came from the sky, they saw only 4 mounts from the opposition while they had 20 but the thing that called their attention was the giant undead dragon that stood in front as a vanguard to a bat, an owl and a flying machine with pink colors.

"What the fuck is that"

The Pink flying machine look small standing besides the Riddick's Vilebrood but when liz press the Machine Gun button, a massive canon open from the nose of the flying machine that looked like a rocket and blue level fire started flying in rapid succession.

TAH TAH TAH TAH TAH… The sound came fast everytime a fire bullet left the muzzle of the gun.

"Evasive Roll"

The V formation was destroyed as some rolled left and some went right but the sound of the machine gun didn't stop and fire bullets kept flying through the air.

"Little Ella is indeed a genius, lets see what does the Search and Destroy button do"

Liz pressed the button and the goggles synchronized with the operating system of the machine and a little game appeared in the goggle lens that contained a circle a square and triangle that change color every time one passed over an enemy.

Liz control the flying machine to hover in place while she move left and right trying to make the figures in her displayed line up with each other. Liz quickly lined up 2 and said fire!!

A weird contraction left from underneath the aircraft and flew straight at the target that was a deva with a bird looking mount that had pretty good agility. When the mount saw the incoming projectile, it quickly switch the angle of his wings upwards and the air resistance acted as a break that sent the mount upwards so that the missile passed below but he didn't realized that another person was behind him and that mount took the shell to chest.

BOOM!!

The mount was swallowed by four tier fire and all that was left was a half a carcass that felt from the sky.

The moment the projectile was fired, Liz felt 10% of her mana leave her but the results were satisfactory and her new passion for blowing shit up was born.
