Translated Chapter
413. Players' Undead Minion (3)
"Awooo~"
The Two-Headed Dragon circled down and landed with a thunderous thud. Singo approached, dragging a half-giant corpse with one hand.
His eyes immediately locked onto the two at the very back of the line—men clad in crimson-and-black tailcoats, their skin deathly pale. One of them carried a wooden coffin strapped across his back.
Their status was unmistakable: Nocturne members, Vampire Players.
Singo probed with a casual question.
"Wandering Beast?"
"Oh? Isn’t this a Hardcore Player?"
The man turned, revealing a smug, familiar face that made Singo want to punch him in the jaw.
Indeed, this was none other than one of Nocturne Unit’s leaders—infamous for his insane, self-destructive stunts—Langli BaiTiao.
Beside him, the poor soul burdened with the coffin, was the newest recruit Darknight Wolf, dragged into Nocturne by Langli BaiTiao’s charm.
"Nice timing, you two," Singo remarked.
"Mutual appreciation," Langli BaiTiao grinned, craning his neck to gaze at the massive corpse Singo dragged behind him. His eyes gleamed with hunger, saliva almost dripping from the corner of his mouth.
Human corpses could only be transformed into common zombies. But this one? It was guaranteed to spawn a Giant Zombie—a true monster. Summoning it would be pure aura overload.
Langli BaiTiao sighed with envy. "Damn, where’d you even find this giant-sized prize? And fresh, too?"
Singo shrugged. "Just luck. Clearing a Bandit Hideout. Happened to run into a half-giant boss."
"Damn European scum!" Langli BaiTiao groaned. "You actually hit the jackpot?"
Singo raised an eyebrow, glancing at the coffin strapped to Darknight Wolf’s back. "Don’t act like you’re clean either. Your load’s not exactly light."
The coffin stretched over two meters long. No one knew how many skeletons it held—but judging by the sweat pouring down Darknight Wolf’s brow, it weighed at least a few hundred kilograms.
"Of course!" Langli BaiTiao puffed out his chest, patting the coffin with pride. The movement nearly knocked Darknight Wolf off balance.
"We’re noble Vampires, the Nobles of the Night, natural Undead sovereigns. Collecting corpses and skeletons? Child’s play!"
He pointed dramatically. "Look! Inside this coffin? Leo Bosk’s great-great-grandfather is in there. I swear, there’s gotta be a powerful warrior among them!"
Even Singo felt a chill run down his spine.
This guy was a real monster.
Not only did he exterminate entire families—now he was digging up their ancestors to serve as minions.
But then, a pang of regret hit him.
Why didn’t I think of this?
The Northern Nobles’ Norton Family Mausoleum had been stripped bare—yet all the skeletons remained. Among them, there could easily be one or two Supernatural individuals.
Just then, the barbarian at the front of the line—carrying a stone coffin on his shoulder—turned and snarled.
"Damn it! I said the Bosk Family Mausoleum was empty! Now I see why—it’s all been stolen by you, you filth!"
Langli BaiTiao crossed his arms, grinning like a serpent. "Stole? No, Nocturne doesn’t steal. It’s just… fair competition."
"If I hadn’t taken these skeletons, they’d’ve just rotted away—useless to you, a petty little man like you."
"Hmph."
The burly man snorted, shouldered his stone coffin, and turned away without another word.
"Hmph," Langli BaiTiao chuckled. "I’ll just say this—everyone here is trash. None of you understand the true magic of the True Mage."
A tall, lean man stepped forward—dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, with an elegant bow of his hat. His face was strikingly handsome, with a sharp nose and delicate silver-rimmed glasses. Yet his expression—a twisted, predatory grin—contradicted his refined appearance.
His nickname above his head read: City in the Rain.
The crowd murmured instantly.
"That’s him? The City in the Rain?"
"Sure enough, the pervert shows up."
"Monster."
"Of course it’s him."
This man was infamous on the forums. He’d taken a quest to find a Tiefling girl’s missing parents—only to discover, along the way, that they’d died in an accident.
Instead of compassion, he’d brought their corpses back, claimed the reward, and—right in front of the child—resurrected them as zombies.
The result? A tragedy.
And yet, in his post, he’d written:
> "I reunited the child with her parents. Why isn’t she happy?"
> "Being a good person is so hard."
That post cemented his status as T0-level psychopath.
Now, raising his staff, City in the Rain declared, "I’ve gathered the might of Bosk, Lakanman, and Novell Northern Regions—I will turn their ancestors into Undead Minions and restore the glory of the Necromancer!"
Three skeletons materialized midair, swirling around him in a slow, eerie orbit. The sight silenced the entire crowd.
"Still just a grave robber," Langli BaiTiao scoffed. "Big deal—playing Pokémon with corpses?"
After a long silence, Singo finally clapped his hands softly, murmuring, "So this is what it means to be a Hero in this world. They come like a tide."
He’d thought his own crimes—poisoning people, stealing corpses—were monstrous. But compared to these people? He was a child playing with toys.
Then, from the front of the line, a masked figure, dragging a large sack of corpses, spoke lazily.
"Hmph. I just want to find a wife."
His nickname above his head: Undead Knight.
"..."
The entire crowd fell into stunned silence.
"Bro, be a person," even Langli BaiTiao sighed, waving a hand in resignation.
Suddenly, the iron gates of the Undead Research Institute creaked open.
The crowd erupted.
"Look! It’s open!"
"Finally! I can’t wait to see what my future Undead will look like!"
"Yes… I’m so excited—"
"Ugh, keep your freaks away from me."
"Once we’re done turning Bosk’s ancestors into undead, Nocturne will be unstoppable!"
A man in a white lab coat stepped out—Maxi, the researcher. Behind him followed two Zombie Lords, towering and radiating oppressive aura.
He bowed with a warm smile. "Welcome, esteemed guests of Stellarfallen. Please line up orderly. Orestes will personally transform your Undead."
The Undead Knight, ecstatic, rushed forward, dragging his sack—only to be stopped by Maxi.
Two towering Zombie Lords stepped forward, their low growls echoing through the air. They raised their massive Great Axes, blocking the way.
"Entry fee: five gold coins."
Maxi extended his hand, still smiling. That smile—so polite, so pleasant—only made the crowd shiver.
This man’s a smiling demon.
A collective gasp swept through the line.
