Their pupils were pitch black, including the sclera. Their hair seemed much darker and they emitted a dark, gloomy and bloodthirsty aura.

If Meng Xin was here, she would definitely recognize this aura with the one she saw at the bottom of the chasm in the Eternal Frozen Land.

He turned to see that the rest of the contestants lost consciousness as they sat in the seats.

A frightening killing intent radiated from him, so thick that it materialised as the red snowflakes in the air, frightening enough to kill any mortal if they touch it.

Liu Feifei stood by his side, her fist clenched as she too radiated killing intent which didn't suit her usual temperament.

Leng Yue Yan and Qin Qing were not able to understand the extreme reactions of these two while Sheng Tian felt like kicking the couple's ass for not finding their "Old enemies" till now.

If these idiots didn't fail in noticing them, they wouldn't be in this plight, no?

However, now is not the time to complain. They had to do something simple: Stay alive.

Leng Yue Yan brandished her snow blue Crystal Sword. Her aura became many times colder and stronger.

The techniques used by the devils were unlike anything they heard of.

One of them waved his hands, a pitch black scythe formed out of thin air. As he yelled "Scythe of Mercy", it shot straight towards them.

It was like the scythe of a grim reaper intending to end their lives and pull their souls away. The bloodlust and killing intent made it difficult for them to attack at their full power. They were having a hard time adapting to these eerie attacks.

Neither Sheng Tian nor Leng Yue Yan could take on four opponents by themselves. Handling three alone is already threatening enough.

They could only work as a team despite no experience of doing so.

They had to switch opponents regularly and try to suppress them, thus fighting as two against seven.

Their teamwork slowly improved as they started to grasp each other's nature of fighting and tried to fight in the most effective way.

They could almost feel the other person's moments and thoughts.

Thus, Sheng Tian and Leng Yue Yan tried to heavily injure or cripple one devil after the other. But each time a devil is close to either being heavily injured or getting crippled, the remaining devils would rush cutting off the chance and taking them by surprise.

From the red box, the Ancient voice sounded again, this time filled with disdain and pride "Humph, ants trying to resist being stepped upon? It is an honor you should accept with gratitude to assist this lord's return! But don't worry, after these minions capture you, I will extract your energy, torture you for eternity. Hahaha.

And you two, I won't ask how you know about us devils. Because, hehe, you will beg me to listen wishing to die once I capture you. Await your death, worthless ants, await this Commander's arrival, hahaha."

Sheng Tian was already feeling that things could go south but didn't think that it would be this bad. The feeling he got from the red box is becoming increasingly threatening.

Sensing their auras, Sheng Tian's pupils constricted. He recognised these two auras—the energy of formation at the bottom of the blood lake and the formation at the centre of bone forest!

The two energies were only putting the seals from completely closing while the energy from the contestants is breaking the seals.

Normally, such a strong should not be broken by the profound energy of mere Earth Ream cultivators.

But a long time seemed to be passed and the seal lost its power with time. Worse, whenever the seal wanted to completely isolate the devil, the energy from the formations of bone forest and blood lake would stop it.

Instantly, Sheng Tian understood the whole plan!

Leng Yue Yan was facing the hardest fight ever. She too knew that it is a necessary thing to stop the unsealing.

But leaving him to face seven of the devils would be very very risky, it could also be said that it is putting his line on the line and could very possibly lead to his death. But hearing his words, she realised that if she didn't do anything, once the thing in the box is unsealed, all their chances would be over.

Plus, she also knew that she couldn't take on the seven devils and even if she asked him to go instead of her, he wouldn't accept given his current personality.

A determined glint shone in her icy blue pupils as she grit her teeth and turned around to leave. As she left, Sheng Tian heard a soft cold voice " Don't die."

He looked ahead and saw the seven devils rushing towards him.

Sheng Tian forced a smile—this is totally fucked up!
