Chapter 32 Part 2

Sunday, the next day, Lin Chuyan competed in two more competitions. Both
the International Mahjong and Rhythm Master competitions were moving
along faster than Kings of Glory. The winners of today's competition would
decide the finalists.

“I don't want to play. I want to hang out with Hu Ge too.” Lin Chuyan said to
Xiang Nuan.

“No.” Xiang Nuan flatly refused: “You've said that you're going to get first
place. I'm still waiting for your award money!”

Lin Chuyan couldn't argue with that and remained at school to finish the
competition. He watched Xiang Nuan as she left.

Xiang Nuan left with Shen Zemu. As Shen Zemu passed him by, Lin Chuyan
said: “Xuezhang's really smart.”

Shen Zemu, with hands in his pockets, seemed quite at ease: “You too.”

“I really like xuezhang more and more.”

Shen Zemu: “......”

Shen Zemu still had to give credit to Lin Chuyan; at least there was no
competition to his ability to make others feel repulsive.

Hu Ge was staying at a high-end hotel near the school. The three of them
had agreed to meet in the coffee shop on the first floor of the hotel.

Xiang Nuan had heard that Hu Ge was very shy and so deliberately dressed
as casually as possible to show that she was easy going. She was, however,
quite nervous and carefully followed behind Shen Zemu. As they were walking
up the stairs, Xiang Nuan almost tripped and Shen Zemu turned to steady her
as if he had eyes in the back of his head.

“Cousin.”

Someone called Shen Zemu from a nearby table in a somewhat quite voice.

Xiang Nuan looked over and saw a young man sitting there. The man had a
round face, yellow hair, and his bangs almost covering his eyes. He was watching
them at the moment.

Shen Zemu led Xiang Nuan over and pointed at the young man: “My cousin.”

Without thinking, Xiang Nuan bowed: “How are you, Hu Ge!”

It looked like an underling meeting her mob boss.

Shen Zemu was speechless. He felt as if he was aging on the spot as he failed
to understand how young people these days chased after their idols.

Hu Ge, startled by Xiang Nuan's greeting, abruptly stood up and bowed to her:
“How are you!”

“Are you two from Japan?” Shen Zemu complained.

Xiang Nuan and Hu Ge were both embarrassed. They straightened up at the
same time and looked at each other. Xiang Nuan discovered that Hu Ge…...
was blushing?

“How, how are you.” Hu Ge stammered. “I'm Chen Yinghu.”

“En. I know. I'm Xiang Nuan.” As she was speaking, she very naturally stretched
out her hand to shake his.

After shaking hands, Chen Yinghu's face turned even redder.

After they had all sat down at the table, Shen Zemu asked for the menu. As
he flipped through the menu, his eyes kept moving back and forth between
Xiang Nuan and Chen Yinghu.

Xiang Nuan found it quite amusing seeing Chen Yinghu's red face and suddenly
wasn't nervous anymore. She asked with a smile: “Hu Ge, you aren't shy, are you?”

“You, you, don't misunderstand me. I, I, I have a girlfriend.”

“Ah, I didn't misunderstand you. Hu Ge, don't get me wrong……”

Shen Zemu couldn't stand listening to them any longer. He glanced at Chen
Yinghu, then explained to Xiang Nuan: “Don't mind him. He has a little social
anxiety disorder, just like all otakus.”

Xiang Nuan hurriedly said: “Hu Ge, don't be afraid. I'm a nice girl.”

“En.”

Shen Zemu helplessly palmed his forehead; what kind of conversation were
they having?

The waiter came by to take their orders. Shen Zemu wanted to order a cup of
poison for himself.

Chen Yinghu was just a little nervous. He had stayed in the house for too long
and seldom talked to any stranger except delivery man that arrived with food or
packages. Besides, he saw those delivery men so often that they didn't really
count as strangers anymore.

The girl in front of her, however, was his fan according to his cousin, which
made Chen Yinghu even more nervous.

Shen Zemu found another topic to lighten the conversation. He asked Chen
Yinghu: “How's your girlfriend lately?”

“Pretty good.”

Xiang Nuan was curious and asked: “Hu Ge, what does your girlfriend do?”

“Repairing dolls.”

“Eh? What does that mean?”

“It's just…..repairing, dolls.”

Xiang Nuan: = =

Did repeating the same sentence at a slower speed count as an explanation?
Such an insincere explanation……
