This Time You Are Mine Chapter 224 - Approval and Assurance

--In a secluded warehouse in France--

"You can't get away with this!!" A blindfolded Maddie shouted to her lungs out. Her hands are tied at the back with the chair. She can also feel that her feet are tied to each other. She can't believe she fell for their trick.

Flashback (a few hours ago)

"Madam, we will take our leave now." Rose said to her as she planned to leave the hotel room.

"Okay, Rose. Thank you for your hard work. I'll see you at the venue tomorrow. Tell the rest of the team to rest well tonight." Maddie said as she reviewed the final arrangements of the gowns she will present for the fashion show the following day.

A few minutes later, she heard someone knocking on the door. She looked through the hole and saw the uniform of the fashion show. Thinking it was the staff, she just opened the door and failed to realize that she fell for their scheme. Her breathing was engulfed by a chemical and just like that she became unconscious.

End of Flashback

"Don't worry. We have already accomplished our mission the moment that your son left his wife to look for you." A male voice answered.

'Yve? Their target was Yve all along!' Maddie got worried.

"What did my daughter-in-law do to you?" She asked them.

"Nothing. Our boss' target is your son and he figured out the best away to hurt your son would be through his wife."

"COWARD!" Maddie shouted in frustration. Because of this, she was punched in the stomach causing her to lose consciousness the second time.

"Our boss might get mad..." One of the men said.

"No. He just wanted to get his revenge and his the type who won't mind the details. Results are more important to him." The leader of the group assured him.

On the other side of the planet, Yve just finished looking through the papers on her desk. She looked up and saw Nyelle who fell asleep while reading one of her new business books. As soon as her tutors heard her accomplishment during the entrance exam, they recommended some textbooks which other professors might use as reference.

Yve smiled as she walked towards her friend and removed the book from her hands. Her friend barely noticed that she removed the book. She turned her body facing the couch. Knowing that her friend is deep asleep, she called Chrysthe who should have been following them.

After two rings, Chrysthe answered the call and asked,

"Yes, miss?"

"Come inside." Yve plainly said.

Just as she had given the order, Chrysthe came inside her office and saw Nyelle sleeping on the couch.

"Please carry Nyelle downstairs. We will drop her and head home." Yve ordered.

Without wasting another second, Chrysthe carried the sleeping Nyelle and as they head out, Yve noticed another man of the same age as Chrysthe. He then handed Nyelle to the man who instantly understood the order and carefully carried her friend. Her best friend in the arms of an agent arrives at the elevator first followed by Yve and Chrysthe. Their rode home was quiet as Yve engrossed herself in reading the first few pages of one of the textbooks. As they approach the base, Yve finally asked Chrysthe,

"Now that Vince and Edward are out of the country, who manages the company?"

"At times like this, although rare, Primo still overlooks the projects and conducts video conferences for the meetings." Chrysthe answered.

"Hmm... I see. But what about if there's an emergency in the company that needs his appearance?" Yve continued to ask.

"Sylvan rushes to the company to assess the things first hand and tries to resolve it on his own. After his reports will then the Boss decides on what to do."

"Hmmm..."

When they arrived at the base, Yve woke her friend and informed her of their arrival. Nyelle sensed that her friend is up to something, decided not to pry any further. Instead Nyelle whispered to Chrysthe,

"She's thinking really well. Just get ready in case she wants to put her plan into action."

Chrysthe looked at his Lady Boss and definitely Nyelle is right.

Without Vince, Yve felt lonely and empty once more. The entire place was quiet and she has no one else to talk to. However, she erased those thoughts from her mind and started preparing her things for school. She also informed Sylvan that she finished all the files on her desk at the office. When all things are settled, she sat on the bed and called Edward.

"Yve?"

"Edward, if there are any emergencies in the company, can you let me handle it instead? Sylvan will be there to support me anyway."

"Yve you don't have to..."

"Let me help, Edward. Learning about the ins and outs of the company will help me in my studies as well." Yve persuaded Edward.

"Okay. I will inform you through Sylvan when that time comes." Edward answered.

With a deep sigh, Edward was defeated and accepted Yve's offer. During times like this, Vince faces great pressure and fatigue. Edward used to recall those moments he wished that Vince has a brother or sister who can take over the Gray Group in the meantime.

Although Yve is still a student and newbie, he can't deny the impressive business skills and learning ability she has shown as the new head of SkyMu Entertainment. It eased his anxiety a bit when Yve assured her that Sylvan's abilities and opinions will be considered as the man always has the ability to grasp how Vince would respond in any situation. This is one of the reasons why Sylvan was often given solo missions by Vince both in CONFERENCE and business matters.

After obtaining an approval and assurance from Edward, Yve felt at ease even for just a little while.

'I'll certainly do my very best with what I can here. Please, take care of yourself and don't forget that you can always count on me.' Yve thought to herself as sleepinees slowly takes over her.
