This Time You Are Mine 7 Kiss

YVE's POV

His place looks really amazing. As he guides me down the stairs, I can see his living room and the white sofa in the middle. As soon as we arrive at the lowest step of the stairs, I can see the entire area - dining room, kitchen and a brown door which I would guess his work room. The motif of the entire place involves the colors brown, black and white with some accent of gray. These are all masculine colors if you would ask me.

"What are looking for?" Vince asked which brought me to the reality.

"Oh, nothing. It's just your place looks really nice." Oops, my honesty sometimes sucks.

"Thank you. Please have a seat." He pulled out a chair for me.

I looked at the table and was shocked to see all my favorite food on the table. He even included my favorite desserts. I can't help but to follow his movements with my gaze. I felt happy because he remembered everything yet I felt guilty for leaving him behind.

"Why? Is there anything wrong? You don't like the food?" He asked me with a worried look on his face.

"No! Actually everything here is my favorite."

"So...." He looked confused.

"It's just there are so many food and I think there are just the two of us. How are we going to eat all of these?" I asked while looking around to check if it is really just the two of us.

"Stop looking around because it's just really the two of us. Don't worry about the food, we can place them in the fridge and heat them up tomorrow morning for breakfast. If there will be any left overs, we can take some for lunch."

His explanation was so practical. But wait a minute, WE?! He wants me to spend the night here?! I can't!! My heart is not prepared for this!!!

"Eat." He gestured his hand towards the food.

"Thank you." I looked at him asking for permission and he just nodded his head which signaled me to eat the food.

I didn't ask anything so that we can enjoy the food. The food is also very delicious. These dishes taste like home. I can't help but remember the joyous memories. I didn't even realize that a tear escaped my eye.

"What happened?" It was Vince's voice that allowed me to return to reality. "Huh? What?" I can see confusion in his eyes.

Suddenly, he stood up and went to my side of the table. He turned my chair to face him which made me look to his eyes. I was drawn by his dark brown pupils and while staring at him, he knelt down and wiped the tear in my eye.

"I've been waiting for the right moment to ask you so many questions and I decided that it will be tonight after dinner. But seeing you shed a tear while eating.... I can't help but take this chance. Yvory, what happened to you?"

I tried to evade him but instead he said, "You can try to escape from me but you will only fail. You know that your strategies don't work on me."

I decided to look at him and sincerely said, "Many things happened and I'm still on the process of getting over it. But since I am alone, it will take a lot of time."

"Why don't you let me in? Allow me to help you get over those problems." Vince looked at me intensely.

I took a deep sigh and said, "You don't understand anything."

"Then make me understand. You decided to end the relationship without explaining anything. You just called me and said you don't love me anymore, that's it."

I stand up abruptly and said, "Isn't that an explanation? Why should I stay in a relationship if I don't have any feelings for that person?!"

"REALLY?!! You don't have any feelings?!" Vince shouted and stood up.

His reaction shocked me and unintentionally, I took steps away from him. But he won't let me widen the space as he was walking towards me.

"Then prove it now. Say it in front of me."

"Say what?" Ahh... I really can't look at his face.

"Say that you don't love me. After, I'll let you go. You will never see me again."

With my back facing him I said, "I don't love you anymore."

"Look at me and say it straight to my face."

I turned to see his face and I want to say that I'm not in love with him but I can't.Why can't I say it to him face to face? I don't love him anymore, right? But why is my heart beating so fast right now. Do I still have feelings for him?

I was brought back to reality when I felt something soft on my mouth.

VINCE?! KISS?!!

Vince is kissing me. I try to escape but I can't. His hand is holding my face firmly. I know this is not right but I feel intoxicated. His kiss deepens asking for permission and I don't know why but I let him. As I open my mouth, his tongue explores my mouth and I can feel his hand is reaching my back embracing me closer to him. His kiss takes me to a different happiness and his embrace made me feel so safe. I haven't felt this safe in a long time.

I really can't win against him. He is really my Achilles heel, my one and only King. And with this kiss, I admitted to myself that I still love him. Ah, no, let me rephrase it. I never stopped loving him. The space and time away from him made me long for him more.
