At SkyMu main office

"So now, that you heard that Yve is okay, are there any new agenda for this meeting?" Vince asked the board in an agitated tone.

"I don't think there is anything else to discuss." Mr. Levi Williams said.

"How about Yve's existing plans for SkyMu?" Airis said. She will not let things fall out of control once more. She needs to attack and this time, she plans on using the board against her.

"I think Yve will do a better job on reporting than me. Besides, the first project since her ascendance will be shown in two weeks time. Why don't you just wait or set another meeting when she's out of the hospital?" Vince answered while shooting daggers to Airis.

"Ms. Airis, I think Mr. Gray is right. I also think that everyone will agree on me that Mr. Gray is too excited to check on his fiancee to mind about anything else at the moment." One of the board members said.

Vince didn't say anything but his silence and the change on his aura were enough to prove that what the member said is true.

Taking this hint, Amira said,

"Well, I guess the meeting is adjourned. Thank you for coming and you may now go back to your respective businesses."

As fast as lightning, Vince stormed out of the room with Edward and left the building as soon as he can. The rest of the members calmly walked outside while Amira, Airis and Mr. Williams were left inside.

"Mr. Williams, I thought that she will die for sure." Amira said.

"Mom, what do you…?" Airis look confused and can't help but switch glances from her mother to Mr. Williams and vice versa.

"Those were the words of people. I never thought that Yve will survive." Mr. Williams responded.

"She's really hard to kill." Airis added.

"So what is our next plan?" Amira asked.

"Let's stop there first." Mr. Williams said.

"And why is that? Are we going to give up? What about my position?" Airis hysterically asked.

"Airis, shut up! I'm listening, Mr. Williams." Amira said as she looked fierce against her own daughter but when looking at Mr. Williams, her face was calm and like a dog patiently waiting for an instruction from its master.

"Mr. Gray is young but the age number shouldn't be your reason for underestimating him or else you will fall deeply in his trap." Mr. Williams said.

"What do you mean?" Now even Airis is listening.

"If Yve hasn't woken up, Vince might have dropped the bomb on us. He and his secretary are known for getting whatever they want. The stronger they want it the more merciless they become." Mr. Williams explained.

"I don't get it." Airis said.

"At the moment, I'm sure that they are still investigating Yve's case and Yve must be totally guarded now which will prove difficult for the second attempt. Once they have obtained the answers to their questions, they will make a move which is something we don't want to happen."

"So what should we do now?"

"We should plan a counterattack." Mr. Williams said and stood up.

"I will go ahead and think. You guys can also think on your own first and we'll meet again to formulate our final plan." With those words as the final order, they all left the conference room.

In Yve's hospital room

The physical tests on Yve was finally over and the doctors have schedule her for the laboratory exams. Timely, Slane came back and handed his phone to Yve. They were amazed as they listen to how strong this lady sound over the phone. By her tone, they can tell that she's talking to other people as her tone changed. Before the call ended, a smile formulated on her face. It seemed like Vince must have said something to her which made her happy. Then she handed the phone back to Slane and the smile evaporated into thin air. Now, she is looking cautiously at the two young men in her hospital room.

"You still don't trust us?" Chrysthe asked while scratching his hair.

"It's normal not to trust another person easily especially after what happened to her." Slane defended her.

"So what should we do so that you will trust us?" Chrysthe asked.

"Introduce yourselves properly and what is your relationship with Vince." Yve said.

"My name is Slane. He is Chrysthe. We are actually a part of Mr. Gray's bodyguard."

"Bodyguard? By why I haven't seen you guarding any of us?" Yve asked them. She is still doubting their identities.

"Well, he didn't want you to feel uncomfortable with us around. He also thought that he and Mr. Edward will be able to protect you." Slane answered.

"Hmmm…. okay."

Yve is not yet fully convinced but since the two young men didn't do anything to make her feel uncomfortable, she decided to let it go. Besides, she can asked Vince as soon as he arrives there.

"Ms. Yve, if you don't mind, we will stay at the living room." Slane asked.

"Okay." Yve said.

"Just call us if you need anything." Chrysthe said.

Yve just nodded in response but as soon as the two left her alone, she started to touch her forehead. She can feel pain from her head. She can tell that she was injected with anesthesia and that she underwent an operation. After all, she can deduce that much based on the medicines on her bedside and the tests she will undergo tomorrow. She was once a medical student after all.

She looked outside the balcony where she can see the tip of the tall buildings and the vast sky. She can't help but remember what happened. Yesterday was supposed to be a fun day but it turned to be a traumatic one. As expected on her life.

"Why can't I live a happy and simple life like the rest of the other girls? But thanks for protecting me, Mom and Dad." Yve said as she continue to look beyond the vast sky which is not turning to red orange as the sun is about to set.

"Yup, I should really thank your parents this time." Vince said.

"You're finally here!" Yve said and wanted to hug Vince but since she was prevented by the doctor to move around, she opened her arms wide. This posture indicated a hug and with a smile forming on Vince's face, she approached his Queen and hugged her.

"Slane and Chrysthe told me that your physical exam was good." Vince said.

"Yup. I'm sorry you had to go through the meeting earlier." Yve said as she tightened her arms around him.

"It's fine."

Then Yve remembered to ask about the young men outside.

"Who are those young men outside?" Yve asked.

"Oh, aside from Edward, they are 2 of my most trusted people."

"Do they work in the company?"

"No. But right now, Chrsythe and Jaleb are in-charge of protecting you if I'm not around while the rest of them are investigating about your father's death, your car accident and the attempted murder." Vince explained.

But then as soon as Vince finished his lines, he felt Yve froze in his arms. He tried to look at his Queen but she won't let her.

"Don't. Please. Just stay by my side."

Vince kissed his Queen's hair and maintained their position and promised,

"I will be always here for you."

Vince has never seen her Queen this afraid of everything. She must have felt tired about all of the things but her responsible self just can't let his parents' efforts be wasted.

"I will support you all through out the way. You can use all the money I have, all the people I trust and even my own name if needed for you to succeed." Vince said.

This time, Yve looked up to see his face. She gestured her finger for Vince to move his face. Vince happily obeyed his Queen. But what Yve did was something nobody ever guessed.

She kissed Vince on the lips. Vince was shocked and as Yve bit his lower lip, he can't do anything but open his mouth and let Yve's tongue in. He was astonished by this move but it's not he hated this. They both fight for dominance, until Yve finally gave in. Vince then took the lead and guided Yve. They've been enjoying this moment for awhile as Chrysthe, Edward and Slane act normal in the living room.

"Ooops, I better should stop before I forget that you are still a patient." Vince said and hugged Yve as he sat on the bed. Yve smiled and hugged him back.

"Naughty King."
