This Time You Are Mine 48 Sneaky Edward

NYELLE's POV

Did she just actually say, I am cute?! Is Sir Edward serious? But now everything seems a little awkward. But later on, he acted serious which hinted that he wants to know my answer. Of course, I would love to help Yve but am I up for the task? WHATEVER!!!

"Sir Edward, you know how much I wanted to help Yve. But I don't know if I can do the job right. The difference between the two jobs are very big."

"I know but are you willing to be trained for the position?"

I was shocked with his offer so I wasn't able to answer him.

"The most important thing for an executive assistant is not the skills but loyalty and trustworthy. Yve is comfortable with you and badly wants you for the position."

I totally know how Yve thinks. I trust Sir Edward on that note. If they are willing to train me before I enter the battlefield, then I'll be more than happy to be of service.

"Okay, Sir Edward."

Then I stood up and bowed, "I'll be in your care then."

"No need to bow but of course, I'll make sure you're ready."

"If you're ready, let's start now?" Edward said.

I was shocked so I looked at him with a confused look and asked, "How?"

"I will train you starting today. As an OJT, every morning, you will be Mr. Gray's secretary."

"What? The CEO of the Gray Group?!" I exclaimed.

"Yes." Then just on cue, his phone rang and so he excused himself and answered the phone.

"Yes, Ms. Yvory?" I heard him say.

Yvory? Does he mean Yve? Why would Mr. Gray and Sir Edward help Yve. What is their relationship? Tsk2x… This girl has been hiding so many things from me now. I will really make sure to make her spill the beans somehow.

Then the phone call ended.

"Nyelle, let's postpone today's training. Ms. Yvory wants to meet you at home and so she wants to bring some of her special ingredients? I tried to ask her but she said, you know what to bring?" Sir Edward asked with a confused look on her face.

"Yes, I know. But I don't know where is she living now. She's not staying in her apartment."

"I'll take you there." He said.

"No, it's fine. Once you tell me the place, I can go there by myself."

"But I don't think you can get in. Plus she instructed me to help you." Sir Edward said.

"How about your work with Mr. Gray. I might be an inconvenience."

"Well, he instructed me that training you is my top priority. So no worries. So let's head out?"

I guess that means I will spend my afternoon with him.

"Okay, then let's go…"

He guided me on the way out. As we exited the elevator doors and walked in the hallways of the resort, many employees began to look at us. This will cause a controversy, I bet. But why wouldn't it?

I have to admit, Sir Edward is handsome in his own way. Plus it seems like Yve trusts him a lot. Not to forget his excellent work as a secretary. Although in looks, he is a little behind compared to Mr. Gray. But he's fine the way he is.

Wait… what am I even thinking?!?!?!?!

"...elle...Nyelle? Are you okay?"

"Ohh… yes. I'm sorry." I apologize to sir Edward.

I was lost in my thoughts that I didn't even realized that we were already outside the resort's lobby. He is now holding the door of the passenger seat open for me. Is this really happening?!

My dear friend, Yve….. what is on your mind?!

I shyly went inside the car and he closed the door. Then he walked towards the driver's seat and I don't know why but to me, it looked like he's walking so slow and I can't help but observe him. What seems like forever ended when he sat down beside me.

"So where are we going?"

"First, to the Gems Supermarket." Then he looked at me amusingly.

"I know that Yve owns that place technically but that's where we buy our groceries. We even have our loyalty cards."

Then he just smiled and drove away.

What is he smiling about? Did I look crazy or clumsy or something of that sort?

EDWARD's POV

Right now, I'm driving Nyelle to GEMS Supermarket and I can't help but smile triumphantly. It's not true that Yve told me to help her or anything. Can you call it my scheme? I wanted to get to know her. I find it interesting that she's not like any girls I met. She loved anime and action packed on that. We also like the same characters.

She seemed practical but still cute. So far, I am liking what I'm knowing about her. Then as I peek at her, I realized she pulled a tablet out from her bag and began keying things. I was curious, so I asked.

"What are you typing in?"

"The ingredients that we need and how much should we buy. By the way, did Yve told her for how many people?" She responded.

"Oh, yes, I forgot to tell you. It should be good for 4."

"Okay, then I think I'll prepare food for 5."

"Why do you need to add one more when it was specified?"

"Well, because the people who will eat came back from a long day. If the food is delicious for sure they wouldn't notice how much they have eaten until the food is gone."

Hmmm….She is a planner and meticulous as well. That attitude is also necessary as a secretary. With proper training, this girl will be a very good assistant to Yve. I am liking her more.

YVE's POV

I was engrossed in writing songs and for other artists as well as planning a different training regimen, when my phone notified me that it's already 3 in the afternoon. I haven't changed my alarm yet. I better do it now before it can disturb my future meetings.

I decided to cook tonight's dinner as thanks to Vince and Edward and I also planned to tell Nyelle everything. So I called Edward to help me check on Nyelle since she can't bring her phone while working. After ending the phone call with him, I texted Nyelle to verify if she knew the address of Vince's penthouse. But to my surprise she answered my message this way….

"Sir Edward didn't give me the address. Instead he said you told him to help me pick up the groceries. What are you thinking, Yve? Trying to play cupid?"

But I didn't.....Then I just look at my phone and smiled.
