This Time You Are Mine 38 Short Break

YVE's POV

When I felt something on my forehead, I heard Vince's voice. Because I can feel his breathing close to mine, I decided not to wake up yet until he finished what he wanted to say. Then I can't help but be happy with the precious three words he said, "I love you."

At that moment, I decided it was the appropriate time for me to wake up. So I opened my eyes and saw his face. He looked so shocked and shy at the same time. Maybe because he realized he just blurted something out.

"You're awake now." He said without looking at my eye.

"Yeah. It seems we have arrived already."

"Hmmm. We should get inside now." He replied and went out of the car.

I thought he was going to leave me behind because he was embarrassed but I was wrong. Instead, he walked towards my side of the car and opened the door for me. He showed me his hand and waited for me to get out of the car. In return for his courtesy, I accepted his assistance and put my hand on top of his. He lead the way towards his penthouse.

We are now inside the elevator and since I was able to rest for a little bit in the car, I noticed that Ed was not with us.

"Vince, where did Ed go?"

"Oh, I asked him to do some errands."

"Okay."

"Why? Do you need him for something?"

"I just wanted him to do two things for me. But the other one can wait."

"Okay. So what is the urgent one?"

"I wanted him to get some of the pending reports on SkyMu and its ongoing project. But since he is not here anymore, can you tell him tomorrow?"

"I already told him earlier because I knew you would want that. I'll also give you his number so that you can call him anytime."

What Vince said shocked me. He knew what I was about to say and acted on it. I'm a bit curious if he has any idea on what I'm planning to do with SkyMu.

So I asked,

"Vince?"

"Yes?"

"Do you have any idea on what I'm planning to do?"

"Well, in general I do. But on how you will carry it on? I don't have a slightest idea."

Then just like that, the elevator door opened and we arrived at his penthouse. Then I was shocked to see Edward there, arranging the papers.

"Hello! Good thing you guys are finally home!" Ed said.

"What are you still doing here? Do you work 24/7 for Vince?" I was in awe as it's already 6pm and most of the secretaries left work already.

"Half true and half false. In medical term, on-call. Vince can call me anytime and ask for my help."

"Oh.. okay… but were there any instance that he called you late at night or early morning?"

"Want an honest answer?"

"Yes, of course."

"Hmmmm…. Then yes. He had called me couple of times already. But once everything is settled, he will give me a vacation. When I said vacation, I can leave my work behind. He will not even call me."

I nodded in response to his explanation. So, Vince is a really good boss. Gray Group is lucky to have him as their boss.

"Yve, shouldn't you change your clothes already?" Vince asked as he walks down the stairs.

I didn't even noticed that he went to his room to change. Right now, he is wearing a light gray shirt paired with a short having the same color.

"You can change upstairs. Mel and Dia left a box with a note. I think it's a pair of sleeping attire but if not, you can just take any apparel you're comfortable with. Ed and I will do some work and cooking as well."

"Okay. Thanks."

With that I went up the room and saw the box and Vince was right. Inside the box is a very cute sleeping attire but it looked like a couple pajamas. The pink one has the design of a cute bear and the blue which I think goes for the male has the same print also. Will Vince wear this kind of clothing? I'll just put this inside Vince's cabinet. I immediately went to the comfort room to wash myself up.

"Come one, Yve, let's eat." It was Ed. He was now sitting on one of the chairs in the dining table while I saw Vince preparing the dish in the kitchen. Inside of sitting down, I decided to help Vince in the kitchen first.

"Wow!! You cooked pasta and even prepared the garlic bread." I said to Vince.

"Yes. I have prepared the for you because I know you like my pasta." Vince answered as he pinch one of my cheeks. It was a little painful but I just smiled because I like it when Vince does it.

"Just sit on the table, I'm almost done. You can go talk to Ed while you wait." Vince said.

"You sure?"

"Yes. I can handle this myself."

With that I went to the dining table and decided to ask Ed some business related questions.

"Ed?"

"Yeah?"

"Have you read some of the materials you got from SkyMu?" I ask him in my most serious tone.

"Yes and I want to be honest with you. Can I?" Serious is an understatement as shown on his face.

"Of course, please do."

"Everything is against our odds. It will be impossible to show improvement for this company. Business speaking since I don't know anything about music. I have already classified the papers in the study room according to urgency."

"Thanks, Ed. I will take care of the music aspect...….. " Then I started to think hard on what might be the problem.

"You can think about that, later. For now, you need to eat. Here's your pasta with garlic bread." Vince interrupted with a plate in his hand. He put it down on the table and urging us to eat.

Then without any words spoken we continue to eat the pasta. Vince can really cook. I don't know if he knows but I don't like pasta but if he's the one cooking, I can eat them. It is really delicious.

When everyone was finished, Ed decided to ask me another question.

"Yve, Vince said you have a favor to ask me?"

"Yeah…. I hope it's fine." I answered.

"Try telling me first then let's see." Ed answered.

"I want you to train a person to be my secretary." I said which shocked Vince and confused Ed.

"Why? Are you not satisfied with Ed's performance?" Vince asked.

"NO. Of course not. But being Vince's and my secretary at the same time is not an easy task."

"So you want to have your own secretary?" Vince asked.

"Not entirely. I will have two kinds of secretary. Business speaking, like big meetings, I will have Ed. But with the meetings which I can handle by myself or like arranging my schedule it's better to let another person handle it."

"You mean like an external and internal secretary?" Ed asked.

"Yes. That's it!"

"That's a good idea, Yve. But it's not easy to look for someone whom you can trust." Vince said.

"I have the perfect person. Plus, she knows me well. She's my friend ever since I hide from everyone."

"That's good. Nothing beats a secretary who can fully understand her boss. Now, what's her name?" Ed asked.

"How did you know that she's a girl?" I was amazed because I never mentioned the gender.

"Just a hunch." Ed calmly answered.

"Then, she's Nyelle. She's currently working in your hotel. She's a very close friend of mine."

"Then, Ed, have her report to you tomorrow morning and inform her of the changes." Vince ordered.

"Thank you very much."

"You're always welcome." Vince leaned forward with his gaze fixed on my eyes.

"GET A ROOM GUYS, WILL YOU?! A SINGLE PERSON HERE!!!"

Ed teased which stopped Vince in his tracks while I was left hanging. That moment, I felt that Vince will kiss me and I just want it so bad. Ed why do you have to do that? Vince went to the study room while I told Ed to go home and rest while I clean up our dinner.

While washing the dishes, I can't help but totally think of that time. I really want Vince to kiss me but I can't just tell him that or initiate another kiss, right?
