Chapter 5 First Meeting

Although the skull in front of him put a strain on his mind, but how could it compare with the great temptation of the mysterious war truck? The thought of being able to drive a beautiful war truck like the Red Wolf and travel though the world, winning the reputation of the hunter, Nange was excited immediately!

He went on very carefully. As expected, he encountered some small problems, such as mutant ants, amoeba, and other small monsters living in the dark zone, but it was all solved by a nimble slingshot. It's just that in a room on the second floor of the cave, when Nange opened a closet, he was hurt by a hidden protective mechanism, but that didn't stop this teenager's curiosity.

"It seems to be here."

This is on the third floor of the great pit, and also in the deepest part of the cave. In a huge stone chamber without a gate, the war truck, the war truck of his dreams, was in the middle of the chamber.

He looked about him. It was like a storeroom, and the walls were covered with a jumble of things like broken tables and old chairs and wooden boxes and plates, but there seemed to be no danger. He stepped gingerly in front of the silver-gray war truck, touched its familiar, cold armor, and his heart beat violently.

"Woof! Woof!" A terrible bark came from behind.

Nange suddenly turned around and saw a large yellow dog standing at the mouth of the cave. It was heavily armed, with an extremely elaborate iron mask over its head and with a tin machine gun on its back…

He looked at the big dog, who stared at him, but did nothing.

He quickly buckled a steel pellet on the slingshot, his hand heart already faints some sweat. Nobody knew how long the confrontation lasted. Suddenly, he heard the sound of a motor and felt the ground starts to shake.

On the other hand, the big dog began to get a little restless, opening his mouth wide and showing his red tongue. The noise of the motor was getting closer and closer. The big dog looked at the him and outside alternately, he became extremely tense. Unconsciously, he sent a slingshot, while the big dog was looking outside. The bullet hit the iron mask on the dog's head, making a loud "bang!".

The sudden attack made the big dog mad, and this terrible thing jumped at him with a shrug. He was ready, rolled out of the way, avoiding this attack. The big dog missed and walked forward to him with two red eyes staring. He slowly retreated to the wall while the big dog gave a low snarl and came wildly. He can't avoid, in such danger, he conveniently pulls a piece of iron plate to block in front, "boom!", he immediately feels the wrist arm was hurt.

Then there was another great roar, and he peeped out from behind the iron plate and saw a red war truck drive into the stone chamber. The muzzle was still there, but the dreadful dog was already lay on the ground, with its half head gone, and its tattered neck was covered with smoke. It was a mechanical dog. He breathed a sigh of relief, threw down the iron plate hardly.

The red war truck stopped, and a tall man stepped out, wearing a black leather bodysuit and trousers, with a ferocious wolf-shaped mask covering his entire face, and long red hair hanging down from both sides of his face. His heart beat violently: the man who saved his life, is the legendary red Wolf?

The Red Wolf made two turns around the war truck in the middle of the stone room, then got into it, started up and drove a few steps, then stopped, got down from the war truck, and went to Nange.

"You came alone, child?

Nange nodded.

"What a brash fellow," said the Red Wolf, surveying Nange's face. "The t645-b, built in 2077, is a little old, and the side-gun is gone, but it still works. I don't want it, I'll give it to you."

Nor did the Nange answer, the Red Wolf walked to his war truck.

"Wait a minute," said Nange. "are you really a Red Wolf?"

Red Wolf looked back with surprise in his eyes. "what do you think?"

Nange says: "Do you mind if I want to see your face?"

"No way, Nange."

There is nothing that surprises Nange more than this: "How…how do you know my name?

"Your aunt Parle told me everything about you," said the Red Wolf. "aren't you going to be a bounty hunter like me? But firstly you should know that this industry is fun, but also have too dangerous with it.

"Is aunt Parle your friend?

Red Wolf sighed. "I'm just a passer-by in her eyes. She'll never know who I am."

This sentence makes Nange a little bit confusing.

Red Wolf smiled, and taking from his bosom a large cloth bag, handed it to the Nange, and saying," little fellow, you want to know what the Red Wolf looks like, check it out." Red Wolf drove away in his red war truck, and it was quiet again.

Nange opened the cloth bag, and get kind of stuck.

Inside the cloth bag was a mirror, reflecting a young face flushed with excitement!
