The Universe Conspired For Us To Meet 121 Roy Industries-1

The next day after classes Jayne came to the mansion to have her lunch and leave to the company. She went back to her earlier room where all her clothes were still stacked. She wanted to check if she could find something appropriate to wear to the office.

To her surprise, an entire wardrobe of Formal clothes were hanging in the wardrobe. Jayne was so surprised that her jaws were about to drop to the floor. She just wanted to check if she could find one single dress to wear to the company. Who knew that Ronnie had prepared an entire wardrobe of formal clothes for her already!

Out of curiosity she checked the next wardrobe which was full of party wears. Jayne was left stumped for words. She didn't muster the courage to open the next wardrobe since she knew that would be full of clothes again. She very well knew that Ronnie would spare no means to spoil her to the end.

She randomly chose a black formal pencil skirt and a white blouse. She tied up her hair into a bun and applied light makeup. She then got downstairs, had lunch and left to the company with her father-in-law.

The limousine approached a tall building. The chauffeur got down and held the car door open for his Master.

Mr Richard Roy was wearing a grey suit. Adjusting his tie, he alighted from the limousine and held his hand out for Jayne.

Jayne promptly took his hand and got down.

They were welcomed by all the Departmental heads right at the doorway. Then they all headed upstairs to the Board room.

At the Board room, Shirley was already present. Jayne took a seat next to her while Mr Richard Roy headed the meeting.

He began speaking. "Good afternoon everyone. I'm sure all of you are very well aware of the reason for this Board meeting. Our company is in a very critical situation. With our current strategy, we can expect nothing much but our downfall. Hence, we've all gathered here to discuss on bringing our company to the path of success."

He continued, "Before we begin, let me introduce you to my daughter, Jayne Roy. She's my son's wife. Henceforth, she'll be leading you in these matters."

Then he looked at Jayne and said, "Over to you Jayne!"

Jayne acknowledged her father in law with a slight nod. Then she began speaking. "Hello everybody. Like dad said, I'm Mrs Ronnie. It would be very much appreciated if all of you cooperate in bringing our company back to it's earlier splendour. Please give in your valuable suggestions on how we can go about this."

She smiled and spoke again, "Before we continue further, I'm sure all of you here recognise Ms Shirley Symonds. She is one of the top designers of the country. It's our privilege that she's agreed to collaborate with us as the Design Head."

Then she looked at Shirley and said, "Shirley, you've always been a part of the Roy family. Today you've got a much bigger Roy family. Welcome on board to the Roy Industries."

Shirley had a smile plastered on her face all the while. She felt very warm by Jayne's introduction.

Jayne stood up and walked up to the board. She began her seminar by writing, drawing and explaining, "So, first things first, let me briefly outline briefly my strategy. I learnt that our company basically caters to the dressing needs of youth. According to the current trend, we all know due to the invasion of the pop culture, youth prefer to wear pop cultured dresses."

She explained. "So basically, we've to re-model our entire clothes to cater to the current requirement. I know we already have huge stocks pending in the inventory. We'll ask Shirley to check if she can do some modifications with that. Else, we'll invest in an entire new clothing range along with the older stocks."

One of the Heads asked, "Madam, as per your plan, we'll be making losses. What would you do about that?"

"Oh yeah! I did check out on that. The current losses is almost 66.8%. But, by launching an all new range, I'm sure with Ms Shirley Symonds' designs we can regain the confidence of our customers. A little risk with the loss is worth all the profits and customer satisfaction we earn later." Jayne clarified.

"You all very well know, our company always believes in customer satisfaction over profits, this time too it matters the most. When our clothing brand becomes a sensation among the youth, maybe it'll be easier to even clear the old stocks at discounted rates thereby even minimising the losses." Jayne further explained.

"Furthermore, we need to extensively invest in marketing. If you need to survive in this competition, the most major component is to market our clothes to appeal to the masses. I'm very confident in Shirley's unique designing. It'll surely stand out in the market." Jayne added.

"Ma'am but how do we go about the marketing?" Another Head questioned.
