With a word of thanks, Tian Min reached for the handle where his elbow had once rested. To exit out of the car and put an end to the miserable ride. As though on a cue, the driver of Duan Chengyu made a move to lower the window of his boss with the touch of a button.
"Mr. Tian! Can I talk to you briefly?!"
The Chairman of Cinopec Group saw him square his shoulders as though preparing for a battle.
"It must cost you quite a lot to live here. As a word of advice, stay away from Miss Liu. I don't need to spell it out for you about not having a repeat of last night. Anything you have to say to her must go through me."
Duan Chengyu had to keep his voice low as he spoke to Tian Min, so as not to wake up the woman that was sleeping soundly by him.
"Mr. Lan, give him my business card."
Lan Tuo got of the car and ran over to hand the business card of his boss to Tian Min.
"Why do I have to listen to..."
His words halted midway when he saw what was on the elegantly printed card.
"Y..Y..You...ar..are the Chairman of Cinopec Group?"
Tian Min's knees gave way in shock, he thought that his ex-girlfriend was with one of the big shots at the company where she worked. Who knew that it was the owner of the company that he was planning on going head to head with?
"Why didn't I believe her? Why?"
"If you are in need of anything, you can reach out to me through my business card. My Secretary is available, in case you're unable to reach me."
The message was clear enough, he didn't want Tian Min harassing Liu Rachael. Handing him money was the quickest way to break his attachment to her and give Duan Chengyu more room to win her over. That been said, he issued an order to his driver.
"Mr. Lan. Take us back to Duan Mansion."
