"Ermm...Chairman Duan, I think we need to get Miss Liu out first then you can scold her later on."
"Mr. Lan! Be quiet! I don't want to hear a word from you!"
Hearing his boss order him to remain silent, the aide of Duan Chengyu knew that he was beyond reasoning with, the officer who was with them carefully avoided looking in his direction.
"Miss Liu Rachael you may now come out!"
"How about Tian Min?!"
Without warning the space around Duan Chengyu gave off a coldness on it's own. The look he sent to his driver made him quiver in fear.
"Officer Song, why don't you release him too. Actually, I'm here for the both of them."
He didn't raise his voice when it was Liu Rachael asking, but the chill in it spoke volumes, in that he was upset that she could be thinking of another man when he went out of his way to bail her out of the police station in the early hours of the morning.
"Miss Liu, come and sit beside me."
"Mr. Duan, I know she is your girlfriend, but until she is cleared. You would have to follow due process by sitting separately."
Liu Rachael gave the policeman a look that showed the confusion she felt at been called the girlfriend of Duan Chengyu.
"At least let me give her my coat, so that she doesn't catch a cold!"
Taking off his coat, the Chairman of Cinopec Group draped it across her shoulders before turning around to take a sit from across Officer Song's table, his driver stood behind his seat, while Liu Rachael and her ex-boyfriend sat together with three feet of empty space between the other seat that was occupied by the Chairman of Cinopec Group.
"Mr. Duan, I'm going to need your national security number and your driver's license or ID card to begin the process of clearing Miss Liu Rachael and Mr. Tian Min from our station."
