The Chairman of Cinopec Group barked at the person whom he thought was on the other end of the line.
Meanwhile, before the call was made, Liu Rachael had been grilled by the officer that brought her in along with Tian Min, the two got into a big fight at the police station and had to be placed behind bars.
"This is Officer Song, who am I speaking to?!"
Duan Chengyu pulled the phone from his ear to look at the number that was displayed on his screen.
"Isn't this Miss Liu's number? Then, why am I speaking to the police instead of her?"
Thinking to himself, Duan Chengyu was puzzled by the voice that answered his call.
"Isn't this Liu Rachael's number?"
"Yes, this is Miss Liu Rachael's phone and she is currently being held for questioning at HaiJing District Police Station..."
The rest of the conversation became a blurr, as the Chairman of Cinopec Group went straight for the speed dial button on his phone, effectively cutting off the voice on the other line while he ran out of the living room with just his keys, wallet and phone.
"Hello...."
"Meet me in front of the house! Now!"
The driver, Mr. Lan was groggy from sleep, but the instant he heard the voice of his boss coming from the phone, that snapped him out of his hazy sleep. Jumping out of the bed, crazily reaching for his things around the room, hardly was he able to keep his shirt and pants in place. In less than five minutes he ran out of his room to meet the Chairman of Cinopec Group who was stamping his foot impatiently by the car.
"Good evening Chairman Duan!"
Red eyed from sleep, but unable to complain, the driver reached for the key that was waved at his eyes.
