THE MORNING OF DEPARTURE
A few days have passed since we came back to Pioneer City. Meanwhile, Rinne and I were walking around the city for sightseeing⸺err, an adventure. We went to the fort that's adjacent to an unexplored area nearby and while sightseeing, we defeated some magic beasts that suddenly attacked us. I think I spent a fulfilling day in the Pioneer City as I was able to receive some reward by selling the magic stones I acquired to the Alchemy Atelier. And then, this early in the morning, I was looking down on a map at a coffee shop on the first floor of the inn while eating breakfast with Rinne.
「Hmm, we've seen all the best place that's been written in the letter. We can leave this city in the afternoon, Rinne.」
「You're right, sensei. I really enjoyed walking around this city. Which city do you want to go next?」
I looked at the map where the topography was drawn better. The big cities existing at the surrounding areas were of the same distance, one in the north and the other one in the south. There's a city by the sea, the harbor in the north, a small forest in the south, a vast plain that's spreading endlessly, and there are some small towns scattered all over places.
「Hmm, it's best to go to south at this time of the year. The distance from here is quite close and we can quickly journey just as we see it in the map. Is there any place you want to go to Rinne?」
「I want to go wherever sensei wants to go.」
「That's not the answer… but, it's south then.」
The fact that many of the roads to the cities were well maintained, it will be easy to walk. Carriages also passes by, so it's easy to ride on one as soon as you get tired of walking.
And if there's anything else⸺
「If we were to go south, then I'll be able to drop by the Pioneer City's branch of University of Magic.」
「Oh, that's right. Are you going to see Mel-san?」
「I wish I could meet her… She must be busy but if I can just get a glimpse of her and see if she's healthy, that would be enough for me.」
「Eisen-sensei is a really caring person. Dominic and the other staffs of Global Guild asked me before『Were so curious, why is he so strong?』」
「So they're talking about.」
Was that what they were talking about? For the topic itself, I don't really care or rather⸺
「So what did Rinne say?」
「Of course, that's naturally『because it's Eisen-sensei!』Then everyone was immediately convinced by what I said.」
I don't even think you can call that a convincing answer.
「Well, it's best to get along with the people in the guild of this city.」
「Yes, we've beem under their care so I'd like to say goodbye before leaving.」
「Yeah, I want to also say good bye to the guild's staff and Yurika who lent us this in. Now then, let's prepare for our journey.」
「Yes!」
