/ The Story of Dusk 274 THE NEXT VILLAGE
"I will think about that later. I have a plan, but I need your father influence." Wang Yu said in mysterious tone.
"My father will be more than willing to help, but what is your plan?" Carye asked, looking at the man before her eyes closely.
"This is a secret." A secretive smiled appeared on the corner of Wang Yu' lips as he refused to let Carye knew.
"Now you are trying to hide something from me." Carye pouted, feigning irritated expression only to get a kiss on the tips of her nose.
"Let's finish the problem about Senja first, after that we can talk about another thing and make a perfect plan for this." Wang Yu suggested as he hugged the woman in his arms tightly and buried his face on the crook of her shoulder.
Probably it wasn't love that made them to be together, but it was the same vision and character that made them compatible to each other, just like the right pieces of puzzle that looking for the perfect pair.
Carye was someone who could inspire Wang Yu with many vicious plans as Wang Yu corresponded to it perfectly.
Together, they were in perfect sync.

On the second day, Senja woke up and felt better. Her headache had long gone and her body temperature had returned to normal, during these two days she only spent her time laid down on the bed and had never stepped out from the room.
Thus, since she felt better now, she decided to take a look of this village.
She tilted her head and saw Gong Xu was still fast asleep on the other bed, which had been put there by two villagers for him to sleep.
Senja gingerly took her cloak and wore it as she felt the cold morning wind blew through the cracked on the wooden wall.
She knew Gong Xu couldn't hear her, but somehow, she forgot that because the way Gong Xu always acted normal, for some reason he was more aware and sensitive than ordinary people.
Senja opened the lousy curtain that served as a door, immediately crispy wind and fresh air greeted her, though it felt slightly cold, but it felt so nice when the wind blew passed her face. Senja took a deep breath and couldn't wait to venture this area.
"Where you will go?" A hoarse voice sounded from behind her as Gong Xu stirred awake because of the sudden cold wind.
"I want to take a walk for awhile in this village." Senja turned around and informed him, purposely said every word clearly, so Gong Xu could catch it better in his sleepy state.
"Don't roam too far." Gong Xu said before he laid back and continued to sleep.
Seeing Senja's complexion had become better, he didn't worry too much. If she could walk out by her own, then she would fine to venture this place. Moreover, there wasn't many things that she could see in this small village.
Maybe she would comeback even before the sun rises in the east.
Seeing Gong Xu fell back to sleep, Senja tightened the cloak around her body and walked out of the hut. She looked around and couldn't find many people there, most of the villagers, who had been awake were busy with their own chore.
Senja walked around and exchanged smile with people that she met, most of them was an elder. She talked with some of them and knew that the younger people went to the bigger village to work and stayed there.
Not only that, they also said that their village was very poor because bandits used to come and snatched their livestock until nothing left for them to fend themselves, winter would be a torture for them.
Senja grimaced upon hearing their difficulty. No wonder when Gong Xu offered them with a big pocket of money they didn't hesitate to help him.
After walked around and felt her tensed muscle had loosened up, she returned to the hut where Gong Xu was and she had occupied.
Senja thought Gong Xu was still asleep, but when she went inside the dilapidated hut, no one there.
He had gone.
Senja stood on the doorway with impassive expression, she didn't know how to give a proper reaction on this, she was already used to him, but now since he had gone, she didn't know what to feel.
This almost the same scene that she had experienced when Uncle Ye Xiu left her behind.
Everyone she thought cared for her, in the end, would leave.
Senja bit the inner of her cheeks, trying to swallow back the bitterness that she felt and the tears that threatened to fall down.
"What are you doing standing there?" The familiar voice that Senja had known, sounded from behind her back. "Don't block the way. If you feel better now, help me to carry this."
Gong Xu grumbled upon seeing the silly expression on Senja's face.
"You are still here!" Senja cried and pounced on him, she almost knocked down the two bowls of porridge that Gong Xu had brought for them. "You are still here!" Senja chanted the words happily.
"Stay away from me!" Gong Xu growled as the hot porridge spilled on his hand.
"I thought you have gone and left me alone here." Senja got down and took one bowl of porridge while she walked inside the hut happily.
"That idea crossed my mind." Gong Xu said casually as he followed behind Senja and sit down opposite her on shoddy mats.
Senja pouted and blew the hot porridge. "You promised me to bring me to the village." She reminded Gong Xu about his promise.
"This is a village." Gong Xu retorted and put a mouthful spoon of porridge inside his mouth.
"This is not a village… this is only an abandoned area." Senja lowered her voice, afraid that someone from the villagers eavesdropped their conversation.
"An abandoned village is still a village." Gong Xu didn't want to back down either. The weird thing was, he could easily look away and ignored her, but he chose to pay attention on her and argued.
Probably it has been a long time since he had someone to talk with, since he escaped from Xiao Tianyao's mansion after witnessing how he had killed his sister under the influence of Modama, his father, Gong Xu had never talked to anyone.
Not to mention his father who had sent many people to find him and, without doubt to kill him. He knew too many secrets of his father and the Emperor's plan, and since he had crossed the opposite side, it was only right for him to be erased.
"Where you will drop me?" Senja asked, grimaced at the taste of the awful porridge. "Which village?"
"The one ahead of here." Gong Xu said. "I heard that village is quite decent."
"Hmm." Senja mumbled and didn't ask anymore as she buried her nose on the foul smell of the porridge.
"If you feel better now, let's go this afternoon, I feel awful with the food here." Gong Xu grumbled. He felt like eating something rotten.
"Okay." Senja nodded without complain this time, she also felt the same.
