/ The Story of Dusk 272 SHE CONFESSED
"Father!" Wang Yu stood in front of Carye as if he was trying to shield her and faced Elder Dam. "Father, you can't blame Carye for something that is not her fault! Let's hear her story first!" He tried to reason with his father.
"I don't want to hear her lies again!!!" Elder Dam seethed, at this point he could kill Carye in a whimp.
"Carye! Tell father what happened that day!" Wang Yu ordered his wife frantically. He couldn't shield any longer if Elder Dam was provoked and determined to kill Carye.
"Yes, yes…" Carye immediately nodded. "Senja was walking alone in the street though I have warned her to go back to the carriage right away. Maybe, there was something that made her curios, that was why she went alone to check on it." Carye blurted out.
She knew Elder Dam would be very mad, but she would have never thought that he would kill her, thus her voice was trembling with fear and her sentences were not like she had prepared.
"The men that came with me could testify for that." Carye hastily added. "They wanted to follow Senja, but she wanted to be alone." Carye tried to convince the Elder.
"Why do you bring my granddaughter away?!" Elder Dam shouted, his hand was trembling as he held the hilt of his sword tightly. "I don't believe you if you say that you don't have ulterior motives behind this!"
Carye immediately knocked her head on the floor hardly until Hikari and Rindi wailed again, calling out for their mother.
"That day, there was a festival, thus I wanted to give something special to her, I wanted her to dress beautifully and watch the fireworks festival with Hikari and Rindi…" Carye wiped away her tears. "But, after I bought a new dress for her, I told her to wait inside the carriage."
Elder Dam scoffed upon seeing Carye was wailing pitifully as if she cared about Senja's well being.
"However I didn't know that Senja would roam around the city alone and got lost…" After that Carye started to cry again.
"Father, this is not Carye fault." Wang Yu spoke as he gestured to Hikari and Rindi to bring Carye away from there. "Senja rarely went out of the mansion, she must be very curious about the city."
Hikari and Rindi brought their mother away before Elder Dam slapped her again or threw them away from this mansion.
Carye was still wiping her tears and slowly moved along with her two daughters.
"Moreover, you have sent all the shadow guard to find her, we will hear news from the guard soon." Wang Yu still tried to appease his father's anger.
"Wang Yu, I will just say this one time." Elder Dam took a step forward as they were in eyes level. "If I have any evidence that Carye behind all of this, I will throw her out of the mansion if you don't want to do that!" Elder Dam said in low and dangerous voice that could make anyone who heard that shuddering in fear.
"Father, Carye has changed for good, she bought a dress for Senja and allowed her to come to the festival with Hikari and Rindi, the only fault that she has was because Senja is not sensible enough to appreciate that." Wang Yu was still blame his daughter for what had happened.
Elder Dam was at lost for words upon hearing Wang Yu's way of thought. Didn't Senja was his flesh and blood? How he could take side with the person that caused his daughter went missing?
"Senja is the true and legitimate heir of the Black Sword Clan. She didn't need permission or being grateful and sensible because of the outsider allowed her to attend a festival." Elder Dam's voice was threateningly cold. "She is your daughter!!!" He roared in the end.
Wang Yu straightened his back as he received the animosity from his father, the old man in front of him, was like he could tear him pieces by pieces in any moment.
"I am utterly disappointed at you." Elder Dam then walked away, leaving Wang Yu behind. "I meant my every word. Carye and her daughters will be thrown out the moment I find evidence about her involvement in this matter."

Wang Yu entered the room that he had occupied with Carye for more than a decade now. Ever since he chose to marry Carye, the relationship between him and his father changed.
He indeed at fault for made a move on Carye while he still married Senja's mother. But the feeling that he felt for Carye was real.
Only if he met Carye first, he would be able to be together with her, because in the end, Rin was only a stepping stone for him to get a support from her family.
He didn't feel anything toward her even after their two years of marriage and finally she conceived Senja.
He wanted a son and Rin gave him a daughter, that wasn't something that he appreciated since he didn't want to be with her.
Wang Yu entered the room and found Carye was compressing her swollen cheek with cold towel that had soaked into cold water.
Hikari and Rindi were there to cajole their mother.
Wang Yu looked at the two of them impassively. He didn't like them both either, but since they were Carye's daughters, he could make an exception for them.
"Both of you come out for awhile." Wang Yu said in flat tone.
Hikari and Rindi nodded their head sullenly as they walked out from the room.
"Tell me the truth." Wang Yu spoke in demanding tone.
Carye stopped sobbing upon hearing that and raised her face to look at her husband boldly. "I have sold her away to the black market." She said truthfully there was no regret in the way she talked.
"What?!" Wang Yu was in shock upon hearing Carye confession.
