The Story of Dusk 27 MODAMA

It was chaos, it was a clamor as smoke from the burning material ascent to the sky and fire dancing on the ground.

Dead bodies were laid down in pathetic state, sword in their arms and blood gushing out from their cutting flesh.

Thousands of soldiers went berserk the moment they succeeded to trespass the palace gate. They scattered all over the Xinghe's palace like ants, killed whoever raised a sword against them as a victory was already in their hand.

Xiao Tianyao was in the front line, pierce through the last line of soldiers of Xinghe. He had killed Xinghe's Commander in fierce battle outside the palace and made the fighting spirit of the soldiers down the hill.

With Ye Xiu and Ye Bai who were disguising themselves as part of Azura's soldiers, Xiao Tianyao moved to the inner palace, brought calamity to his enemies in every step he took. The three of them were slowly heading toward the location that Qi Xunyi had mentioned as part of their plan.

Even though Ye Bai's emotion not in the best state, but at least he didn't hinder their movement and followed them closely without any expression on his face when he stabbed his enemy to their death.

The moment they arrived without anyone noticed, Qi Xunyi had been waiting for them in the secret tunnel that would bring them to the underground shelter where the Emperor and The Empress of Xinghe were evacuated.

With Qi Xunyi was guiding them, they didn't meet unnecessary fight, as things go, all the soldiers that located to the underground shelter were the soldiers in Qi Xunyi's side.

"They are inside." Qi Xunyi said as he pushed opened the stone door behind him.

Xiao Tianyao was still in alert even though Qi Xunyi was his ally. Too soon to put down his guard in any kind of situation would only lead destruction later. Not to mentioned in the battle field.

When Xiao Tianyao stepped inside the room with Ye Xiu and Ye Bai followed after him, he saw the scene that was out of their calculation, if one could say, it was something that they thought wouldn't have happened. No, it was impossible to happen.

Xiao Tianyao watched how the Empress of Xinghe has laid dead on the ground while a woman stabbed the Emperor right in his heart without a trace of fear in her eyes or to be precise there were nothing in her eyes. Her dull eyes were reflected her empty soul.

Qi Xunyi who watched their strange reaction came into the scene only to see his Emperor father howled as blood pour out from the hole of his heart. "MODAMA!!!" He screeched before his body jerked and fell to the ground.

After that the woman raised the dagger in her hands and made an attempt to stab her own heart. While the other three people were completely shook up Xiao Tianyao threw his scabbard at the woman direction just in time before she succeeded to hurt herself.

The woman shrieked with the sudden pain she felt on her hand as she lost her dagger. Looking the event that unfolded before his eyes Qi Xunyi dashed forward and caged the woman body in tight hug from behind.

"Mother! What have you done!?" Qi Xunyi looked at the dead body of the Emperor and the Empress in horror.

But, the woman in his arms kept struggling to get back her dagger as though she didn't recognize her own son. She was kicking, hitting and event trying to bit Qi Xunyi's arms that prevent her movement. She was completely insane and out of control.

"No, stop!" Qi Xunyi having difficulty to control her as Ye Xiu walked forward and hit the back of her neck.

In an instant the woman stopped struggling and then fell unconscious.

"It will make her calm for a while." Ye Xiu mumbled.

"Thank you." Qi Xunyi replied in low voice while put his mother down on the ground. He directed his eyes at the dead body of his Emperor Father and the Empress on the ground not too far from him.

Ye Xiu and Ye Bai also at lost with what had happened as they still in their place.

"Someone came before us." Ye Xiu said the oblivious fact. "Qi Xunyi, who else knew about this underground shelter except us?"

"No one from outside who knew, this underground shelter was especially built for the Emperor and Empress in case there is precarious situation while the other princes and princess has their own shelter in the other place." Qi Xunyi never has affectionate feeling toward his Emperor father, but to look his own father ended up in his mother's hands was something that slightly bothered him.

Xiao Tianyao furrowed his brows, "He said 'Modama'" He pointed out the clue.

"Who is Modama?" Qi Xunyi retracted his gazed and looked at Xiao Tianyao. But, it was Ye Xiu who answered him.

"He is the last mind controller that we had talked about."

Qi Xunyi's eyes wide opened as he gaped in disbelief. If Modama was the last mind controller, Leader of Misty Cloud Clan, than it made sense why his mother had acted so abnormally. She was under hypnotized.

Their original plan was to ask about the truth what had happened 9 years ago when the Kingdom of Azura's Emperor and Empress were died in Xinghe's territory and about their involvement with the last mind controller.

At least they could hold them as hostage of war. But, no one would believe that something like this happened in the end. Even so, it's clear their suspicion about the influence of the mind controller inside Xinghe's Kingdom.

Qi Xunyi looked at his mother, "What will happen to her?" His voice full with anxious. Would she remember what had happened after she woke up? Or she wouldn't remember anything and acted crazy like before?

No one could answer his question because nobody has the answer.

At that time, Ye Bai turned around and was about to walk out from the room.

"Where are you going?" Ye Xiu asked his younger brother.

"He is here to hypnotize that woman, he must be not too far now." Ye Bai said unhurriedly as he disappeared from the room.
