/ The Story of Dusk 24 XIAO JUN PREDICAMENT SITUATION
Qianru entered Xiao Jun's study room, slowly walked to his side. She raised her hand to touch his upper arms to get his attention. "You have been awake this whole night. You must get some sleep." She said with voice full of concern.
"I will be fine." Xiao Jun smiled to reassure his woman.
"I am very worry about you. Jun, can you tell me what happen?" Qianru asked expectantly, she wanted to be a wife for him, not only in the name but also to share his burden.
"You don't need to worry, nothing will happen." Xiao Jun backed away, evaded Qianru subtly.
Again, Qianru couldn't hold him and again he avoid her. "Why you don't want to lead an army to conquer Xinghe?" She mumbled her question.
The Sun has risen and was brighten up the room as a ray of light fell on Qianru's pale face.
Watching Xiao Jun was in trouble and didn't sleep the whole night, how she could have some sleep either? Qianru wasn't someone that so idle and didn't know the flow of the politics in the palace or any news that roamed around the Capital, she was well informed and had gotten use with this since she was little. She knew her husband was in predicament this time.
Xiao Jun sat on the couch with eyes closed when Qianru approached him and massage his tensed shoulder from behind. However, Xiao Jun's caught her arms. "It's still early in the morning, why don't you take some rest?" He asked her softly.
"Jun, can't you stop pushed me aside? Can't you accept me?" Her voice was very low, almost like a whispered.
Xiao Jun stood up and reached out his arms to hug her, he stroke her back slowly to ease her uneasiness.
"I am not pushed you aside, I am just not yet ready to accept you."
"Because of her? The girl named Riana?" Qianru muffled her sob in Xiao Jun's chest.
It took him some times to answer her question. But, in the end… "Yes, because of her."
"Can't I try?" Qianru raised her small face and looked at her husband in the eyes. "Can I try to win you over?"
Xiao Jun chuckled upon hearing Qianru's question. "Let me the one who try, alright? I marry you with another intention, so let me the one who try."
Qianru didn't answer, but only tighten her hugged around his waist. She loved him dearly.
At that time a soft knocked from the door forced Qianru to release Xiao Jun. He stroked her cheeks while saying, "Go back for now."
Reluctantly, Qianru nodded and walked away from the room.
Outside, she saw Liu Wei had been waiting on the doorstep as he bent his body to give respect to her when she past him. Qianru smiled and nodded slightly.
If Liu Wei was here, it must be another important news. She thought as she strode across the courtyard.
Liu Wei come into the room and fell to his knee right before Xiao Jun and only stood up when his Master excused him.
"The orphan's shelter had been destroyed and Ye Bai lost his wife and son. But, Master Ye Xiu it's fine." Liu Wei gave his report.
Upon hearing the news, Xiao Jun narrowed his eyes. It wasn't good news, even though he was a bit relief when he knew his Master was fine.
The matter at The Kingdom of Xinghe had reached to this point with no way of returned. The only thing that he could do now was to change his entire plan and start to work on his back up plan.
"We will leave. Bring another 2 people with us." Xiao Jun informed him.
There was a puzzled looked on Liu Wei's face. "But, Master you are currently prohibited from going out of the City..." He mentioned it carefully.
Xiao Jun didn't heed his question and only snickered. "We will leave to meet my dear brother, it has been a while since the last time I saw him and I missed him now."
His Master unrelated answered let Liu Wei knew that he shouldn't question his decision, thus solemnly he said. "This subordinate will obey."
After Liu Wei had withdrawn Xiao Jun stepped out from his study room toward Qianru's courtyard. At the time he came, all female servants who saw him gave a solemn bow and some of them informed their mistress about their Master visit.
Qianru had mixed feeling when she heard about this news, she flustered why Xiao Jun came, but also excited because it was very seldom for him to come and visit her.
The moment Xiao Jun stepped into her room all of the servants who attended excused themselves.
Qianru stood there like a demure little wife as she smiled at him when he approached her. "Qianru, go back to your home quietly and tell to your father to pay close attention to The Emperor's movement and tell him also that a big event will happen soon. He needs to prepare himself and our people."
Qianru's father was the most trusted person of Xiao Zhong, when Xiao Jun's father still on the throne and he still pledge his loyalty to his son. That was one of the cases why Xiao Jun chose Qianru as his wife, yet the most reason why she had to experience that humiliation in the past.
Xiao Jun never looked down on her because of that, after all it was him to be blamed, because he let that horrible things befell on Qianru. He blamed himself for that and for not be able to love her back because of Riana. His heart was still longing for his junior sister.
On top of that, for the sake of the old tradition of Azura, that said; every royal family, were free to marry someone from the lower status or commoners, nonetheless he couldn't ascend the throne.
For the sake of his revenge and injustice death of his parents, he had been forgoing his own will.
In the other hand, an uneasy feeling crept in Qianru heart as she stared at her husband. "Where are you going? What will happen?" She asked almost like a whispered, too afraid to hear the answer.
"Qianru, I meant it when I said I will try to accept you." Xiao Jun stroke her cheeks as he felt his woman apprehensive questions. "My position now is in jeopardy. It will implicate you in some way and that the last thing that I wanted to happen to you."
"You will comeback right?"
Xiao Jun kissed Qianru's forehead. "I will pick you up when I return."
