"What happen with him?" Xiao Jun directly thought about Luna, did she finally betrayed and attacked him?

"He was being attacked last night by the assassins and badly injured now." Qianru's expression turned sour. Xiao Tianyao was like her own brother. She cared for him not like the way Bai Yuyan had mentioned it.

"Attacked by assassins?" Xiao Jun voice turned rigid as he dashed toward the door immediately. "Stay here." He said before he opened the door.

"But, I want to see his condition…" Qianru was about to run after him as she complained, but Xiao Jun stopped her.

"It is not safe for you to come, moreover, you have something else to do." Xiao Jun has the same reason as Liu Wei to not allow Qianru to come.

In many cases, an attacked by assassins would repeat until they could eliminate their target, so it most likely there would be another attack.

"Something else to do?" Qianru frowned.

Xiao Jun waved his hand toward his chamber. "Didn't you say that you will fix this?" He said casually before he opened the door and disappeared from Qianru's line of sight, he was worried about his brother.

"Doesn't he just apologize to me?" Qianru mumbled. "And now he started to bully me again…"

Xiao Jun arrived at Xiao Tianyao's mansion before the sun set.

Xiao Tianyao's guard bowed their head in respect when Xiao Jun stepped inside the mansion, the security had been tightened as many guards who were out of the mansion had been summoned back to guard this place.

Once he stepped inside, the smell of blood still lingered in the air and the stained of blood was still remained on the ground.

By seeing only this scene, he could imagine how bad the battle last night.

Xiao Jun walked deeper inside the mansion and saw Yang Yu and his fellow guards were busying themselves as they piled up many dead bodies.

There were around thirty dead bodies there, ready to be disposed.

Xiao Jun hastened his steps toward his brother's chamber, Liu Wei had informed him before he left the mansion that Xiao Tianyao was badly injured, but his life was not in danger anymore.

Meanwhile, Liu Wei was ordered to increase the security inside his mansion as well, if the assassins that was sent to Xiao Tianyao's mansion was coming from his enemy, there were a big chance that they would attack him also, as Xiao Tianyao and Xiao Jun had shared the same enemies.

It was an ironic fact about them, while they gathered many supports, at the same time they had been accumulating the number of their enemies too.

There were four guards who were standing outside of Xiao Tianyao's chamber. The four of them bowed their head in respect when they saw Xiao Jun, but he didn't have time to care about that as he stormed inside the room.

Once Xiao Jun was inside, he saw Xiao Tianyao was laying on the bed with white bandages covered almost every parts of his body, not only that, there was some part that blood still gushing out and stained the bandages.

Luna was also there, her eyes and face were red as she had cried so hard. She was sitting on the edge of Xiao Tianyao's bed while holding his hand.

She didn't even raise her head when Xiao Jun came, as she had expected it.

"How is he?" Xiao Jun asked as he walked closer to take a better look on his brother. Xiao Tianyao indeed badly injured.

"The physician had checked on him." Luna wiped her tears. "He is quite lucky because the sword that stabbed him only an inch away from his heart or else, he wouldn't be here anymore." She explained with hoarse voice.

"What happen last night?" Xiao Jun pulled a chair and sat down beside the bad as he looked at Luna, he didn't know whether he could trust this woman or not, but Liu Wei couldn't provide him with detail of the event, because when he came with the back up the battle near to end and Xiao Tianyao was fighting the last four enemies with blood covered his body.

"The assassins came and attacked us." Luna stated the fact curtly, she really didn't want to recall the event last night and didn't want to be questioned at this moment.

However, that wasn't the answer that Xiao Jun wanted and he wouldn't stop until Luna gave him the detail of the attack.

"Can you be more specific?" Xiao Jun asked sternly. He still didn't like this woman, no matter how his brother said that she had changed her side, he was still suspicious of her.

After all, Luna was a daughter of Modama and atop of that, she was a mind controller herself.

Luna glanced at Xiao Jun, felt annoyed by his visit. Sighing deeply, a while later she told him about what exactly happened last night and how those assassins could trespass Xiao Tianyao's mansion.

Apparently, those assassins knew that Xiao Tianyao had just sent many guards out.

Xiao Tianyao was sending them to collect information about the activity of Modama and the Emperor in the Mountain Sui Sword Sect.

That was why at the night when the attack happened, they were outnumbered by the attacker.

It was Luna, the first person who realized that they were being surrounded. She felt their killing intent and reminded Xiao Tianyao, but apparently it was too late as they were already infiltrated the mansion and killed many guards.

The next thing that happened was something that the mansion turned into a bloody battle, which ended with Xiao Tianyao was stabbed because he was trying to save Luna.

At that time, they were really in disadvantage situation and somehow, those assassins aimed for Luna. Xiao Tianyao tried his best to protect her, however the assassins were higly skill, their swordsmanship was something that not ordinary assassins had.

Xiao Jun was deep in thought as he listened to Luna story.

Those assassins must not an ordinary people as Xiao Tianyao wouldn't be in this critical condition if they were merely a killer.

Xiao Jun stood up when Luna has done with her story. "I will put my people around this mansion." He looked at Luna with suspicious eyes, he was still couldn't put his guard down near this woman, after all most of Xiao Jun and Xiao Tianyao's trouble recently were coming from her.

"If you remember anything that could help me to figure out whose those assassins belong to, let me know immediately." Xiao Jun said coldly.

Luna tilted her head and looked at Xiao Jun in resentment, she didn't like his arrogancy, moreover, with her ability she was able to feel the hostility that came from him.

"You don't have to look for them, I know who they were." Luna blurted out as she held Xiao Jun's gaze.

There was surprised that crossed his eyes when Luna said that. "Who?" His eyes were squinted dangerously.

"They are Misty Cloud Clan." Luna recited that name of the clan with bitter taste on the tip of her tongue, as if that clan's name had brought back her dark memories.

"Misty Cloud Clan!?" Xiao Jun repeated the information with shock. "Impossible. That clan has nothing to do with Tianyao." He denied Luna's information, for him, it was so unrealiable news.

Luna couldn't be possibly aware about the existence of Misty Cloud Clan, right?

Misty Cloud Clan was one from three formidable clans besides Black Sword Clan and Crescent Dew Clan.

Once they sent their silent assassins then the target would be dead without anyone knowing it. Their assassins were remarkable none of any forces in this vast continent had been able to captured them alive, in the critical moment they choose suicide as an escape, hence no matter what, there was no one ever knew anything about them.

In this entire year they kept low profile and work behind the scene. Originally, Azura kingdom had never had anything to do that related to them or crossing path with their business, not to mention Xiao Tianyao and Xiao Jun.

But why they attacked Xiao Tianyao's mansion without reason? Xiao Jun couldn't recall that Xiao Tianyao had mingled with Misty Cloud Clan.

Wasn't that coincident?

Coincident wouldn't be the right word to put it in this kind of situation. There wouldn't be a word of coincident in their world, especially when this attack was planned.

"Misty Cloud Clan has nothing to do with Tianyao, but it has anything to do with my father, Modama." There was anger and ashamed by the way Luna mentioned her father's name.

"What do you mean?' Xiao Jun felt something not good with the next information that Luna would let him know.

"Modama is the person behind the force of Misty Cloud Clan, they have been working together for years, they had joined force ever since I could remember." Luna knew about Misty Cloud Clan because their leader was often visiting her father to ask about many things and in returned Modama would use their killing skill to kill his opponent.

Xiao Jun listened to Luna and her explanation. That was made sense, Modama wouldn't be standing tall like this time, if he only relied on his ability to control people's mind alone.

This sudden revelation shocked Xiao Jun to the core.

"Silent assassins." Xiao Jun mentioned the name of the assassins group under Misty Cloud Clan. "Do you have some prove for this?"

 "Prove?" Luna raised her brows as she stared at Xiao Jun incredulously. "Did Silent assassins from Misty Cloud Clan ever left any prove?" She asked him back.

If there were any evidence, those silent assassins would destroy it, including themselves if it was necessary.
