The wave after wave of pain hit Qianru until she felt like she was in the middle of life and death.

The loud breaking sound that the shattered cup produced, managed to get the attention from people around the carriage.

The first person who appeared was Qi Xunyi.

He yanked opened the carriage curtain and the dreadful scene of a pale woman, who has pooled in her own blood, entered his eyes.

At this time, Qianru has no more strength to talk, not even to see who has come for her rescue, all she could do was to keep her mind awake, that was not an easy task for her at the moment as the darkness kept coming and pressed her down scarily as if it would consume her whole.

"Lin Xinyang!!!" Qi Xunyi shouted. "Hurry! Get on the carriage, we need to get Princess Xiao to the nearest village!"

After Ye Xiu and Jinse had been inside the carriage, without wasting anymore seconds, Qi Xunyi drove the carriage away, out of the forest, toward the nearest village.

Along the road, Ye Xiu used any method that he knew to help Qianru to stay awake. He learned this from his brother's late wife, Su Zhang Li, who was a physician when she was alive.

Fortunately, when the situation called for emergency, Ye Xiu was having present mind and was able to keep calm, because his action was a big help for Qianru now.

Jinse kept holding Qianru's cold hand as she watched Ye Xiu pressed some part of Qianru's hand and head as if he was checking on something.

"What should I do… to help?" Jinse asked between her weeping messed, as she was totally at lost about what she should do.

"Keep her warm!" Ye Xiu shouted at the young maidservant. He also was at lost, this was his first time had to face something like this. Before, there would always be Su Zhang Li who would take care of something like this.

Jinse hastily took another blanket and wrapped it around Qianru's body however the lower part of her body was still bleeding and Ye Xiu couldn't do much to stop it, the most that he could do was trying to keep Qianru awake.

"Go faster!" Ye Xiu yelled at Qi Xunyi who was on the coachmen seat.

Qi Xunyi gritted his teeth as he tried his best to make the three horses running faster, however he was also a bit nervous if he forced those horses beyond their limit, the carriage wouldn't be able to hold the weight and the speed, they would be in more trouble.

"Hold on, I see the village ahead!" Qi Xunyi was squinted his eyes while looking at the light in front of him.

He didn't want to think about the worst possibility, but seeing their current situation, it wasn't an impossible case that Qianruwouldn't be able to keep their baby.

Qi Xunyi shook his head to get rid the image of it, especially when he thought about how Xiao Jun would react if he heard about this news. Ye Xiu and he would be in big trouble!

Xiao Jun had clearly said in his letter about Qianru's condition and kept repeating his words to keep his wife and their child save, but now this thing happened.

The carriage didn't even slow down when it went through the entrance gates of the village as Qi Xunyi drove them straight to the nearby inn.

Most of inn would have a physician lived near their place, hence it was safe to assume that this inn also has a physician.

When the carriage stopped, Ye Xiu took another blanket to cover Qianru's lower body and carried her down from the carriage while Qi Xunyi had gone ahead to book a room and asked for physician.

The chaotic situation has drawn people's attention as they tried to find out about what had happened. However, they barely could see the woman wrapped inside the blanket when Ye Xiu had gone from their sight.

Ye Xiu put Qianru down on the bed and checked on her pulse while the inn owner went to call a physician with Qi Xunyi.

"Prepared hot water!" Ye Xiu ordered Jinse when he felt Qianru's pulse.

Ye Xiu barely could feel Qianru's pulse as her body started to become cold. Blood still flowing down on her lower body.

It wasn't only the baby, but she also could die at this point.
