But Xiao Jun really didn't mind it at all, he got off from the bed and walked toward the door without sound.

Once the door of the room closed, a guard approached him immediately. "How is the situation outside?" He asked before the guard finished his ceremony.

"We have been surrounded." The guard hastily answered.

For now, like what Mo Qin Yi had ordered earlier, they were surrounded by imperial guards and couldn't find a way to escape, if the crown prince really comeback with the imperial edict and searched the entire courtyard, Mo Xuan Fei and Lin Xinyang wouldn't be able to hide any longer nor they could run away from the siege.

However, Xiao Jun still didn't look panic and only nodded his head in understanding. "Bring me to prince Mo Xuan Fei hiding place."

"Yes, this way please, Master." The guard quickly walked in front of Xiao Jun and led the way to the other room.

Mo Xuan Fei and Lin Xinyang were hiding inside a storage, where they used to keep their food and wine.

Xiao Jun stepped in to the storage as unpleasant smell of food and wine assaulted his nose, however he just scrhunched his perfect eyebrows before gestured to the guard to closed the door and proceeded to walk inside.

On the ground with only a blanket beneath her, the first scene that Xiao Jun watched was Lin Xinyang lied down motionlessly with white bandage all over her head and hands.

Only now Xiao Jun saw the scar on her left cheek that Qianru had mentioned before, it was indeed a scar that could ruin a woman's life. The scar was long and big enough to be noticeable on her pale face.

Her chest rise and fall intermittently, seemingly she suffered a short breath. Probably during the fight someone had knocked her chest hard to turn her this way.

"How is she?" Xiao Jun moved his eyes toward the man, who had just appeared from behind a wine cellar.

On Mo Xuan Fei's hand he was holding a bottle of wine and knife.

"Still unconscious, but better." Mo Xuan Fei halted for awhile before he walked closer toward Lin Xinyang and sat beside her.

And then without heed Xiao Jun's present he proceeded to clean up Lin Xinyang's wounds and bandages them carefully one by one, his hand moved swiftly like an expert as if he was a doctor.

During that time, Xiao Jun didn't say anything as he watched with impassive expression how Mo Xuan Fei put his focus solely on Lin Xinyang.

Probably, with their current relationship right now, Xiao Jun would do the same thing toward Qianru, however he shook his head in denial, he would never put Qianru in danger in the first place, so there was no need to start imagining unnecessary thing.

 The moment he had done, he went to clean up the little mess that he had made and threw all the already used items and washed his hand clean.

Only then, he approached Xiao Jun and knelt before him as he talked solemnly. "I, Mo Xuan Fei, owed my life to Prince Xiao Jun and…"

Before Mo Xuan Fei could finish his ceremony of gratitude, Xiao Jun had cut his word icily. "If you keep babbling nonsense, you will die soon. My courtyard is besieged and it is only a matter of time before they come inside and find you."

Mo Xuan Fei stopped talking and raised his head to talk to Xiao Jun with blank expression. "Besiege?" His Brows knitted together. "Why they besiege the courtyard?" He asked in confusion.

Xiao Jun walked away and said. "I don't like to be here, you can continue to kneel outside if you still want to discuss about this."

After he finished his words, Xiao Jun walked out of the storage, leaving Mo Xuan Fei, who was still kneeling on the ground, alone.

Despite Xiao Jun harsh words, but Mo Xuan Fei could feel his concern or else, instead of discussion about how he could escape from here, Xiao Jun would directly gave Lin Xinyang and him up to the imperial guards and stayed away from the unnecessary trouble that he didn't need to get involved to.

Shaking his head, a faint smile appeared on Mo Xuan Fei's lips as he get up and follow Xiao Jun out of the room. He glanced at Lin Xinyang who was still unconscious. She was like sleeping.

This time, Mo Xuan Fei would make everything right for her.

He closed the door and walked away.

Xiao Jun was standing on the hallway while looking at the sun that started to rise in the east, the rich golden color bathed his figure. This Prince looked so dignify in his silence.

There was something about him, which Mo Xuan Fei couldn't understand that put him in ease, when he was looking for help, someone his mind moved to this prince as he started to barge inside his courtyard and pleaded for help.

It was so weird, how he could ask someone that he barely knew to help him, but he did and his intuition was right. Xiao Jun was the right person that he could ask for help.

"Prince Xiao Jun." Mo Xuan Fei announced his presence.

Xiao Jun gave him sideway glance before he said coldly. "Don't want to kneel anymore?" He asked as he leaned his back again the pole and his back was facing the sunlight.

Mo Xuan Fei chuckled, the first sincere emotion that he showed at other person after long time. "I don't think Prince Xiao Jun appreciate my gesture." He said.

In the other hand Xiao Jun only raised his eyebrows and started their serious discussion about how Lin Xinyang and he could escape from this place.

"I demand an Imperial edict to let them search inside the courtyard and before they could get it, you are safe." Xiao Jun summarized his explanation.

"Imperial edict?" Mo Xuan Fei raised his eyebrows in surprise. This prince was really bold to ask an imperial edict to search his courtyard, of course in reality it wasn't necessary as the guards could do the search without it. "Who is the chief guard who is coming?"

"I don't know, he was rude enough to not introduce himself." Xiao Jun complained as if it was Mo Xuan Fei responsibility for him to meet someone like that.

Mo Xuan Fei scratched the back of his head as he cought lightly. "But he is a chief guard right?" He asked to make sure something.

"He said so." Xiao Jun answered curtly.

"Then we will be alright, Mo Qian Yuan will value you more than his chief guard. He will give you some face and will never give the imperial edict for such thing." Mo Xuan Fei said reassuringly, however, Xiao Jun next word made him bewildered.

"The one who is asking the imperial edict now is your brother, crown prince Mo Qin Yi." Xiao Jun looked at Mo Xuan Fei with narrowed eyes. "Do you think he could get it?"

"Mo Qin Yi?" Mo Xuan Fei's brows shot up as the information sunk in. "Why he was here?" He asked, didn't understand the situation that required him to appear at time like this.

"I don't know. Maybe you can ask him when you meet him." Xiao Jun replied nonchalantly.

Seeing at how calm Xiao Jun was and how free he was with his words, Mo Xuan Fei felt awkward, he really needed to learn more.

Mo Xuan Fei chuckled one more time and sighed. "I hope I will never meet him, or Mo Qin Yi, or anyone else that related to this place." He looked around and stared at the distance.

This place was the place that he should be able to call home as he was born here and had grown up here, he knew every corners of this palace as he was really like to explore new thing. However, this place also the place that didn't belong to him.

A cold place that lack of love and assurance with a cold father that barely he met and a mother who abandoned him.

But this place also the place where he had met the love of his life and watched how he had hurt her in the process to be together with her.

"If Mo Qin Yi manages to get the imperial edict and search inside the courtyard, I don't think you can hide any longer here." Xiao Jun said in matter of fact tone. "You can not run away also because the entire courtyard has been surrounded by the imperial guard."

Mo Xuan Fei knitted his brows as he rubbed his smooth chin, deep in thought. He kept silence for longer time and Xiao Jun didn't disturb him with his own thought.

Only after minutes of thinking he raised his head and stared at Xiao Jun's. "I think I know a secret road inside this courtyard." He said with eyes shone brightly.

"Secret road? In this courtyard?" Xiao Jun repeated his words into question. "How do you know about it?"

Mo Xuan Fei sighed. "When the Emperor was still a crown prince, he was living in the crown prince courtyard and in the past there is a time once my mother is his favorite. He gave this place to my mother to reside and one night he came from a secret passageway from the crown prince courtyard to this courtyard." Mo Xuan Fei explained.

His mother told him this story once, and he vaguely remembered where the secret passage that she had mentioned. But for now that was the only chance for him and Lin Xinyang to survive.

To think about it again, his story rather made sense since the crown prince courtyard was the next courtyard after this, it was very close in location.

"So where is this so called secret passage?" Xiao Jun asked while crossing his arms in front of his chest impatiently.

"Give me time to remember it, my mother told me this story years ago. I vaguely recall the place that she had mentioned as the secret passage."

Xiao Jun waved his hand and walked past Mo Xuan Fei. "You can take all the time that you want, i have told you that once Mo Qin Yi comes with the imperial edict, I will no longer can block them away, and since you know how long your time is, I hope you can make use of it."

Xiao Jun's words were true, he could have days here, but Mo Xuan Fei didn't have the privilege, he knew that Mo Qin Yi would get whatever he wanted sooner or later.

An imperial edict was surely something that he would get as easy as flip his hand, especially at time like this, where Mo Qin Yi was in need for every support that he could get.

"Yes I know. I will let you know if I know something about this." Mo Xuan Fei said in understanding.

"I will accompany my wife, you can knocked on my door if you know something." Xiao Jun said it lightly, but the way he mentioned his wife, it was a proved that how much he concerned about her, there was proud in his words.

"I will." Mo Xuan Fei replied. "Oh, Prince Xiao Jun." He called out to him again when Xiao Jun was a bit far from him, but he heard it nonetheless as he turned around.

"What else?" Xiao Jun asked impatiently.

"I want you to know that the moment I guessed Princess Xiao is pregnant it was actually a random guess." He admitted. "At the banquet I saw Princess Xiao a couple of time caressed her stomach subconsciously and I think it was a gesture of expected mother. I don't know if it turned out to be true, anyway I want to congratulate you, Prince Xiao Jun for becoming a father."

Xiao Jun's eyes softened as he replied to Mo Xuan Fei. "Thank you, I will tell Qianru to less rubbing her belly in the public." After saying that, he turned around and left.

Mo Xuan Fei laughed lightly when he heard Xiao Jun's weird comment.

Only if they met sooner and a little bit longer, probably they could become a friend to each other.

"You will be a great father prince Xiao Jun." Mo Xuan Fei said softly as if it was a pray.

Inside the study room, the moment Mo Qin Yi arrived he was greeted by the eunuch who used to serve his father.

Mo Qin Yi didn't heed his greeting as he strode inside the room and went straight toward his imperial father was.

The eunuch wasn't be able to stop him as Mo Qin Yi was known having a bad temper like his imperial father, moreover, he was a crown prince, the status that high enough to let him did whatever he wanted to do.

Mo Qin Yi found his father with servants surrounded him, trying to help him to wear his red dragon robe and neated his hair.

"I didn't hear your presence is announced." Mo Qian Yuan frowned when he saw his son sudden appearance.

"I need something from you father." Mo Qin Yi talked straight to the business.

"Many people wanted something from me my dear son, sure you have your own." There was sarcasm that laced in his voice when he said it. "What is it that you want at time like this?"

"I want imperial edict to search Prince Xiao Jun's courtyard." Mo Qin Yi's voice was low, but the demanding tone was clear to hear.

Mo Qian Yuan turned around and frowned, he waved his hand and sent all of the servants away. The moment it was only the two alone, he talked sharply at Mo Qin Yi. "What are you trying to do?"

Mo Qian Yuan didn't mind to give the imperial edict now, but he didn't want to lose the cooperation with Xiao Jun yet. Not at time like this when all of his officials went out of their way to demand something from him.

He knew Xiao Jun's bad temper, if he really gave the imperial edict than that prince would make his life like a living hell the next thing that he would do.

Not to mention he still needed to rely on him for the secret Azura's military movement that he promised him to get to help the upcoming war with Azura.

There were too many things that he would lose once he annoyed Xiao Jun.

"You are looking for Mo Xuan Fei and imperial concubine Lin Xinyang don't you?" Mo Qin Yi threw his rethorical question and sat on the nearby chair. "Both of them are inside Prince Xiao Jun's courtyard." He said lightly.

"How you can be sure about it? Both of them barely know each other." Mo Qin Yi scoffed at Mo Xuan Fei random guess.

"Imperial father can say that I trust my intuition." Mo Qin Yi poured some wine into an empty cup and chugged it down before he poured another.

"Prince Xiao Jun will be the last person who Mo Xuan Fei was looking for, they were fighting the last time they met." Mo Qin Yi looked at his reflection on the bronze mirror and felt satisfied. He was the Emperor of this country, the Emperor who would make a history and became the sole sovereign through the three Kingdoms.

Mo Qian Yuan smiled at his reflection.

Seeing his behavior now, one wouldn't question from where Mo Qin Yi got his delusional mind.

"You don't need that." Mo Qian Yuan walked toward the table and sat down. "I will talk to him by myself after I settle down those stupid officials."

Mo Qin Yi didn't talk much and poured some wine to another empty cup before he gave it to his father. "That is also a good choice." He said in daydreaming like voice.

Mo Qian Yuan received the cup and shook it for a while, smell the scent and chugged it down in elegant motion. "The plan will change a bit, but we are still on track to our goal." Mo Qian Yuan said and put down the empty cup.

"Yes, there will always be unexpected change in every plan, you will never sure what the outcome will became." Mo Qin Yi said with hidden meaning that Mo Qian Yuan failed to hear. "I heard the Emperor of Zodasian came to visit and asked to meet with Imperial Concubine Lin Xinyang, where is he now?"

Mo Qian Yuan sneered. "He made a fuss here over the kidnapping matter of his daughter before his servant came and brought him away." Mo Qin Yi really dislike the other Emperor, how dare him to kick a fuss in his presense!? "I don't know what important matter that he needed to attend to, but I am glad he stops badgering me."

In the other hand, the corner of Mo Qin Yi's lips curled into a vicious smile. "Yes, it will be better if no one bother you anymore, imperial father."

He would make sure that Mo Qian Yuan could be in peace.
