They put Amrunela next to Prince Jaekel that morning as they talked . The two new mothers watched their kids meet each other for the first time with great interest .

And after fifteen minutes they realized something . Jaekel had actually fallen into a peaceful sleep, his fingers lightly touching Amrunela's little hand . Having some company around seemed to keep him feeling better than being laid down by himself .

Relief came over Fayre's voice . She had been trying to hide it but she had been pretty worried about her kid . It was not good for a baby to always want to be held all the time . They needed to get used to being put down sometimes .

The two Amrielians were talking together quietly, though Hazel kept sneaking peeks at the children .

It felt pleasant to Zylvia to be surrounded by this overall friendly loving almost family like vibe . Such moments were reminders of why life was worth living .

Zylvia looked at her husband with a smile, "Are you not eating, my lord?" She kept her voice light and teasing as she spoke .

"I would rather play with our daughter…" Kaldrek hugged the infant close to him, "She is adorable you know?"

"She is…" Zylvia sigher, and then took some of the food on her plate and fed it to him but let him continue with his cuddling of their daughter . Kaldrek let her feed him and scooted a bit closer to her as she did so .

She talked with the queen and Hazel for a while, with the men mostly listening and occasionally making comments . They talked together for a while, but when Zylvia yawned, Kaldrek stood up, scooping her with him .

"I think Zylvia needs her rest . She is recovering after all…" Kaldrek had so much worry in his voice that Zylvia giggled at him .

"Alright, you worrywart . " Jayesh made a shooing motion with his hand, "Take her to bed . "

"Thanks, I think I will . " Kaldrek cradled her close to his chest .

"…" Zylvia leaned into her husband's embrace, "I could walk there…"

"I know that, dearest love . " He left the room, still holding her, "But I enjoy carrying you, and I am pretty sure you actually love being carried by me . "

"…" He was not wrong . She did love it, she liked being able to listen to his heartbeat as he walked . "As long as you are sure…"

He kissed the top of her head again . She just about fell asleep in his arms and only startled awake once he was getting the door open for their room .
