The Sorcerer's Bride Chapter 122

Zylvia woke up to the feel of something resting on her abdomen and gently stroking it . She opened her eyes and looked at her husband .

Kaldrek was propped up on one hand and smiling as he looked at her womb area . She bit her lip for a moment . It was strange that he did not even notice she had woken up . He was really engrossed… .

She placed her hand over his, "Excited by thinking you might be a father?"

He glanced up into her smiling eyes as his smile grew broader . "Yeah . I… really do want this . "

He leaned down and kissed her softly on her nose and then captured her mouth when she started giggling . his hand that he had propped his head up with moved to touch her cheek, and his other slid to her waist .

Zylvia grinned when he pulled away and wrapped her arms around his neck . "At this point would you be disappointed if I was not pregnant . "

"Well," He looked down at her and then placed a kiss on her forehead, "I would not be disappointed in you, but I would feel disappointed that we were mistaken . And then try to rectify it . "

She slapped his chest with a laugh then went to roll away and off the bed . His hands moved to grasp her wrists and he pulled her back to him, snuggling her close to his chest .

As he held her close and buried his nose in her hair, Zylvia sighed happily . She closed her eyes and enjoyed the comfortable way their bodies melded together . She actually rather liked this, being enveloped in his scent and listening to the sound of his breathing .

After a while he was still holding her and there seemed no inclination on his part to let her go . A soft giggle left her mouth at the thought . And she had thought that she was the clingy one . As she did not really mind him holding her, she decided to let him do so for a while at least .

She did not mean to but with her eyes closed it was rather easy for her to fall asleep . When she woke up again, she was still in her husband's arms . When she moved, he sat up and smiled at her, "Awake?"

"I fell asleep…?" When he nodded, she shook her head, "Sorry, I really did not mean to . "

"That is quite alright, love . " Kaldrek grinned at her, "You probably needed the sleep . "

"I need to get moving," It came out as a mutter and her husband sighed as he helped her up .

"Alright . We probably can't stay in bed all day . "

"I can't believe this . Is my workaholic husband actually trying to talk me into lazing around all day?" She tapped her finger against his noise as she teased him .

He laughed, "No, not really . Though I will admit if you tried to talk me into it, I would very happily stay in our room for the rest of the day . "

His eyes were laughing as he slid off their bed to get dressed . Zylvia let her eyes follow him as she dressed herself up as well . Glancing down at her flat abdomen, she wondered if she really could be pregnant . If she was, then she would finally have a complete family of her own…

Hands wrapped around her waist gently as her husband kissed her cheekbone near her ear . She leaned back for a minute, enjoying the show of affection . She was glad that this man belonged to her . Willingly, even . A flush came to her cheeks as she marveled at the wonder that he loved her .

Smiling she turned to face him and kissed him softly . His eyes looked so tender as she pulled away and he really looked on the verge of keeping her here with him for a while .

Instead though he pulled away and turned her around, picked up her brush and began doing her hair . She smiled to herself at the way he treated her . She really hoped that this would last them the rest of their lives . Well, not the nervousness or the butterflies but the friendly love they shared .

Finally, completely ready for the day, she wrapped her hand around her husband's arm and tugged him to the door . A grin came to his face as he glanced at the hold that she had on him, "I love when my pretty wife latches on to me like this . "

The remark had her instantly grinning back at him, "Obviously . With the way you grin over it . "

He chuckled and leaned towards her to press a kiss to her forehead . "Maybe I want to be obvious . "

She shook her curls at him with a soft laugh . She loved the way he was acting though . It was cute .
