Chapter 1424: Chapter 1372 – Chapter 1373 Life Simulation – The Fall of the Divine Lord: The Initial Secrets Chapter 1424: Chapter 1372 – Chapter 1373 Life Simulation – The Fall of the Divine Lord: The Initial Secrets Divine Lord had lost!
The so-called invincible Divine Lord had fallen!
That god, born since the dawn of creation, founder of the Divine Court, hailed as the most powerful Innate Ancient God in history, had perished!
The mighty master of the Divine Court fell at the hands of Emperor Xi of the human race.
Though countless strong beings did not understand why such a powerful Divine Lord would lose, especially to a being with merely hundreds of years of cultivation.
During Pei Xuanjing's great battle with the Divine Lord, none of the gods had personally witnessed it; or rather, they simply had no right to witness it. The terrifying force displayed in the final moments of their fierce battle was too much for them to bear; the mere aftermath of their divine ability clashes was unbearable, let alone for ordinary gods, even the Ancient Gods could not get close.
It was also the last battle that allowed Pei Xuanjing to truly understand the master of the Divine Court, to comprehend his thoughts and deeds.
There is a saying, “Often, the person who understands you best is your enemy.”
When Pei Xuanjing first arrived in this world and saw its rules and environment, he looked down on the high-and-mighty Divine Court, including its founder, the lord of the Court.
Pei Xuanjing's own journey ensured that he would forever move forward on the path of cultivation, regardless of how many dangers and obstacles lay ahead, always having the courage to pioneer and never halting his steps.
Therefore, towards such stationary beings and organizations that suppressed newcomers and were set in their ways, Pei Xuanjing harbored an overlooking attitude deep inside, even one of disdain.
Especially since this world's rank was so high, in Pei Xuanjing's view, hardly inferior to the Divine Land World, relying on this Divine Court to act in heaven's stead and with the support of All Tribes, this world had far better choices, there was absolutely no need to be set in old ways and suppress newcomers.
However, when Pei Xuanjing truly met the Divine Lord and clashed with him, feeling his state, he understood that everything was not as it seemed, or to say, there was a lot hidden beneath the surface.
The Divine Lord, an Innate Ancient God, as the Pioneer of the Divine Court, his ability to open the Divine Court and act in heaven's stead proved that he was not truly one to eschew change and advancement.
In their clash, Pei Xuanjing sensed a significant difference in the Divine Lord's state, or rather, his outward appearance seemed normal, but inside, there was a hint of madness, of losing control.
If Pei Xuanjing were to judge this Divine Lord's strength, it should at least be at the level of the True Immortal Seventh Layer, which in the Divine Land World, aside from Pei Xuanjing who could steadily suppress him, even those veteran True Immortals would only be on par and not necessarily able to defeat him easily.
For such a powerful being, their state on the cultivation path had reached an indescribable level, with such strong self-control, how could they exhibit such madness, such loss of control? It was unimaginable.
Pei Xuanjing, while in the midst of battle, was somewhat puzzled but did not take it to heart, but after he truly subdued the Divine Lord, he discovered the whole truth from his memories.
In the beginning, when heaven and earth first emerged, this Innate Ancient God teamed up with many others to establish the Divine Court, naturally filled with ambitious dreams to accomplish a great cause.
And just as he had imagined, after the creation of the Divine Court, with gods guiding All Tribes of heaven and earth, the whole world developed prosperously, and continuous newcomers began their transformation, ascending to Divine Position and joining the Divine Court.
Then, as more gods appeared and the shared benefits among All Gods diminished, the Divine Lord thought of continuing to expand, to seek greater gains.
However, unlike Pei Xuanjing who thought of opening new worlds and plundering worlds to nourish the Divine Land World, this lord of the Divine Court did not seek new worlds, nor did he know of them. All he could think of was to do as they did in their own world, Opening the Heavens and Splitting the Earth.
Indeed, what the master of the Divine Court thought of was opening up new realms, creating a new Divine World, where, as the true home for gods, they could comfortably dwell for convenient cultivation, contributing to the development of heaven and earth.
However, the result was clear; the Divine Lord failed. His failure was not only because his strength was insufficient to open the Divine World but also because there was a traitor–some Innate Ancient Gods betrayed him.
The Divine Lord had envisaged opening the Divine World to provide a place for All Gods, away from the mundane beings. That was his idea, but it was not shared by All Gods.
Years beyond count had passed since the establishment of the Divine Court, and these Innate Ancient Gods were no longer as pure as before; they had gradually been influenced by the mundane All Tribes, becoming greedy, vain…
They enjoyed the worship and veneration of All Tribes, they had taken to that feeling, even becoming so immersed and lost in it that they could not extricate themselves.
Now that the Divine Lord wanted them to leave such a state, it naturally provoked their rebellion, and at the critical moment of opening the Divine World, in the end, they betrayed the Divine Lord and ambushed him.
