Chapter 1380: Chapter 1328–Chapter 1329 Life Simulation–A New World Chapter 1380: Chapter 1328–Chapter 1329 Life Simulation–A New World In the beginning there was the Tao, with the Gods coexisting with the Tao.
At the dawn of heaven and earth, the innate Gods were born, these divinely created Gods possessed unimaginable power and eternal life. They established the Divine Court, shepherded all creatures, and ruled over heaven and earth.
“In a world dominated by a Divine Tao, the majesty of the Divine Tao shepherds all beings.” Pei Xuanjing rode atop a White Deer, wandering through the forests, basking in the spiritual energy diffused throughout the world.
In this life simulation, Pei Xuanjing was still born innately, forming a Taoist body, but what was different was that the body he formed was not truly that of a grown man, but that of a child.
It must be noted that Pei Xuanjing's initial entry into this world was quite different from others, evidently more awkward than all his prior simulations.
That is because of the uniqueness of this world, where the Divine Court governed and the Divine Tao flourished. Apart from Divine Tao cultivation, all other cultivation systems were rejected and suppressed by the Divine Court.
The Heavenly Rules were strict, and with Pei Xuanjing's current state, although he mastered numerous cultivation systems, none could be practiced in his state. The moment he began to cultivate, he would be discovered by the many Gods monitoring the world, and the Divine Court's soldiers would be dispatched to capture him.
In the past, whether in life simulations or when entering a new world, Pei Xuanjing's best approach was to seize the Thunder Power inherent to the world the moment he arrived. After all, with the rank of his Divinity as the Emperor of the South Pole Eternal Life, as long as the Thunder Power of a world was unclaimed, Pei Xuanjing could take control of it and be invincible.
However, this world was entirely different, for every deity in the Divine Court wielded their respective Authorities. These Authorities combined are the very foundation upon which the Divine Court stands, meaning the Thunder Power had its master.
Under the current circumstances, should Pei Xuanjing dare to touch the Thunder Power, he would immediately be discovered by the Thunder God of this world, which would bring upon him fatal danger. With his current predicament, he was utterly incapable of resistance, and the consequences would be even graver than cultivating other systems.
Thus, the greatest reliance that Pei Xuanjing initially had became useless, arguably making this the most perilous start to his rise to power.
Now, his nature as a True Immortal still existed, but he was devoid of any Mana or Authority. The divine powers he mastered could not be activated. Apart from possessing an extended lifespan, he was no different from a common being.
If one had great power, a long lifespan would be a blessing; but without the power to protect oneself, an extended lifespan was not a boon but could become a curse.
Were it not for this world having Divine descendants of the All Gods, whose lineages were complex, some inheriting the Divine powers and lifespans, Pei Xuanjing would stand out as an anomaly.
Ever since he acquired formidable power, every life simulation Pei Xuanjing initiated was under his firm control, never worrying about a sudden death that would terminate the simulation.
But this time was different, the strength of this world far exceeded any he had experienced before. Pei Xuanjing even thought that the Divine Land World might be weaker by comparison. Moreover, because he couldn't rapidly enhance his power, the world was rife with uncontrollable risks, leaving him vulnerable to death and an abrupt end to the simulation.
“However, misfortune leans on fortune, and fortune hides within misfortune. Being unable to swiftly regain strength poses great danger, yet it also affords me a fresh start and the chance to carefully study the cultivation system of this world.” Pei Xuanjing thought to himself.
Indeed, after experiencing many worlds and seeing countless cultivation systems, Pei Xuanjing's study of these systems was mostly grounded in his own foundation, or one might say, from a top-down perspective.
But now it was completely different. Pei Xuanjing was like a common person who had yet to cultivate, though with a long lifespan, and he could start from scratch with this world's cultivation system.
“Divine Tao Cultivation starts with Cultivating the spirit, birthing Divine nature, kindling Divine fire, coalescing Divinity, and then Ascending to a Divine Position.” Pei Xuanjing reminisced about the divisions in this world's cultivation system and expressed some emotion, “Such a cultivation system is too brutal and unfriendly to ordinary beings. To truly ascend to a Divine Position is as difficult as ascending to the heavens.”
After arriving in this world, Pei Xuanjing learned about the cultivation system of this realm from some creatures, thus knowing the divisions of cultivation realms before becoming a God.
After all, this was a realm where the Divine Court ruled, with Deities manifesting in the world, and Divine descendants walking among mortals, establishing nations–an era where Gods and humans coexisted.
Therefore, even the most common of creatures could know what the divisions were before the Divine Path, but as for the realms beyond becoming a deity, that information was scarce.
How the Divinity of Gods was divided remained the knowledge of true Divine descendants and those powerful beings who had come into contact with Gods. It was not clear to ordinary beings.
Cultivating the spirit, Communicating with Gods, Divine fire, Ascending to God–these four realms are the path a being must traverse to transform from the mundane into a God.
Even as an Immortal Path Strong like Pei Xuanjing, he could not deny that there was nothing wrong with this path–it was sequential and progressive, truly able to elevate a being beyond the mortal coil.
