Chapter 1243: Chapters 1192-1193: True Immortal, Profound Immortal, Golden Immortal – Taiyi and Great Luo? Chapter 1243: Chapters 1192-1193: True Immortal, Profound Immortal, Golden Immortal – Taiyi and Great Luo? Extreme Path True Immortal, Profound Immortal, Golden Immortal–these three different appellations, rather than merely referring to realms, are perhaps better described as epithets for the paths of cultivation.
This is similar to how Pei Xuanjing delineated the Immortal Path. He subdivided the unified Immortal Path Realm of True Immortal into: Heavenly Immortals, Earth Immortals, Human Immortals, Immortals, and Ghost Immortals.
Besides the solitary path of Immortal Path Cultivation, there are also five paths that converge on the same truth.
However, during his selection of the five True Immortal paths leading to concurrent certification, Pei Xuanjing discovered something; this path was not at all simple, or rather, it was incredibly difficult.
In the process of cultivation, what seemed a straightforward spend of merely a few centuries to successively attain three certifications of True Immortal Paths, granting him the title of Profound Immortal, was helped by the Life Simulator. It allowed him multiple chances to enhance his essence, consolidate his foundations, and experience a wider array of cultivation methods.
Without the assistance of the simulator, Pei Xuanjing wouldn't truly believe he could possess such extraordinary talent to concurrently certify all the Paths of Immortals, especially since all the powerful beings capable of certifying as True Immortals don't lack talent, to begin with.
Even if there really were cultivators with lesser talent, at the moment of their Immortal Path transformation, their innate talents would also undergo a revolutionary change.
Not everyone is endowed with a simulator; it is far too rare for cultivators who truly practice the Five Paths simultaneously–such cultivators can only be those with tremendous willpower and wisdom.
“True Immortals of the Ninth Tier, reaching the pinnacle–whether they cultivate one path or two, without having certified three paths, can only be called True Immortals, as Extreme Path True Immortals.”
“And if they can certify three paths, reaching the state where 'Tao gives birth to One, one gives birth to two, two give birth to three, and three give birth to all things,' they can be called Profound Immortals.”
“If they can certify all five paths, climbing all forty-five steps of these paths, that is the most perfected state of the Immortal Path, and they can be titled Golden Immortals.”
“Although the cultivation of the Immortal Path grants longevity and immortality, it does not imply that one is truly immortal and indestructible. Thus, there must be a realm above the Immortal Path, one where true transcendence from the cosmos is reached, to a point where the cosmos might decay while I do not, the cosmos might perish while I do not. I call it: Taiyi, Great Luo.”
“After traversing the path of Immortal Path Cultivation and then ascending this final realm as an Extreme Path True Immortal, Profound Immortal, or Golden Immortal, one can be called: Taiyi True (Heavenly-Earth-Human-Immortal-Ghost) Immortal, Taiyi Profound Immortal, Taiyi Golden Immortal; or alternatively: Great Luo True (Heavenly-Earth-Human-Immortal-Ghost) Immortal, Great Luo Profound Immortal, Great Luo Golden Immortal.”
“Taiyi, Great Luo?” Many True Immortals and Supreme Strong shifted their expressions subtly, their eyes filled with shock and confusion as they looked towards the Longevity Taoist Monarch.
Has he already walked so far along the Immortal Path?
Has he already started to consider how to escape the cosmos in search of true undyingness?
Those Supreme Overlords who have yet to step onto the Immortal Path may not understand, but many True Immortals who have long been silent in the Immortal Path Realm do understand.
That is, despite True Immortals possessing long lives and formidable power, able to wander the Chaos Void without being troubled by the Chaos Qi,
True Immortals are not truly immortal and indestructible. True Immortals depend on the cosmos and can temporarily leave the cosmos to wander in the chaos, but they cannot forever travel within chaos.
Nevertheless, such a realm was still far too distant; they hadn't really given it thought, or to say it accurately, it was not something they could currently touch. Yet, the Longevity Taoist Monarch was already contemplating it.
“May I inquire, Taoist Monarch, what exactly is the difference between Taiyi and Great Luo?”
Master Tianji asked curiously.
As one who cultivates the Path of Heavenly Secrets, he felt a resonance the moment he heard these two terms, as if he received a premonition through the cosmic mystery.
“Taiyi, Great Luo! I do not know either, only feeling a preordained resonance. As to what it specifically is, it's indefinable, unspeakable; all understanding must come from one's own perspective,” Pei Xuanjing said, shaking his head.
What Taiyi and Great Luo truly are.
He now had only a hypothesis, able to cite a term, yet when asked to describe, he found himself unable to do so.
Moreover, even if Pei Xuanjing managed to provide a description, those powerful beings, even True Immortals, might not understand; after all, compared to these two realms, even Pei Xuanjing himself was merely aspiring, let alone them?
“So it is!”
The many powerhouses contemplated thoughtfully.
They did not doubt that the Longevity Taoist Monarch was unwilling to speak; after all, he was the one who brought it up, and there was no need to mention it if he truly didn't want to discuss it.
So it must be as he said, unspeakable and undiscussable; their own realms simply could not touch it.
This undoubtedly left many True Immortals intensely curious.
Seeing the somber expressions on everyone's faces, Pei Xuanjing spoke with a smile, “The above is merely my personal view. The Immortal Path is vast, and we are all groping in the dark; perhaps in the Future, fellow Taoists will discover something new.”
The True Immortals and Supreme Overlords quickly regained their senses.
The above is from the [Book of Discourse on Immortal Road by Longevity Taoist Monarch and Various True Immortals].
This discourse was recorded and divided into two volumes–one regarding the division of the Immortal Path as the first volume, collected by both the Taoist Academy and the Heavenly Court.
The second volume, describing Taiyi and Great Luo, was placed within the scripture pavilion of the Heavenly Court, available for perusal by any powerful being who has ascended the True Immortal Realm.
As Taiyi and Great Luo are far too remote of concepts, they are currently unsuitable for common cultivators, even for Supreme Overlords, as long as they have not yet stepped onto the Immortal Path.
