Chapter 1235: Chapters 1184-1185 Law Enforcement Heavenly Monarch – The Heavenly Court Will Appear Chapter 1235: Chapters 1184-1185 Law Enforcement Heavenly Monarch – The Heavenly Court Will Appear Conflict is ever-present.
Where there is no interest, there still exists conflict, let alone where significant interests are involved?
The conflict at that time, though hidden, made many cultivators realize one thing: even with the establishment of Heavenly Court and the human race standing strong between heaven and earth, it did not truly mean there would be no more struggles.
These thoughts circulated among some of the powerful beings, while the enshrining of gods continued.
The next to be enfeoffed were the Star Gods of All Heavens, the Earth Gods, and the eight True Gods.
The upper four divisions: Thunder, Fire, Battle, Pestilence; the lower four divisions: Array of Stars, Three Mountains and Five Peaks, Rain-Making and Cloud-Forming, Gods of Good and Evil.
The process of these divine titles being sealed was very smooth, reflecting the advantages of the List of Divine Honor at this moment.
When the List of Divine Honor first appeared, besides accelerating the internal competition among cultivators, it also made many cultivators understand their own position and what divine positions they aspired to in the future.
For those cultivators who truly had connections and backgrounds, if they really wanted to plot for a certain divine position, they would prepare well in advance and not wait until the last moment of God Sealing.
This enshrining ceremony was a major event for the entire human race, driven by the collective will of many True Immortals. Causing trouble at this event would lead to punishment even for the disciples of True Immortals; only fools would raise objections at this time.
Therefore, the enshrining of gods proceeded smoothly.
The former commander of the human race, Wang Boan, was sealed with the divine title of Emperor Wenchang, which, although not of great authority, had educational responsibilities. With his experience as the commander of the human race army, he could be called the Imperial Tutor of the Heavenly Court.
Wang Qiong, the minister of the Ministry of War, was admitted into the Heavenly Court Battle Department. Gu Ji, an old friend of Pei Xuanjing, had requested an idle position from Pei Xuanjing a long time ago and was placed under Wang Boan, Emperor Wenchang.
Later, like Pang Hong, whose contributions were enough for the position of head of the Thunder Department, he focused solely on the Immortal Path, creating an incarnation to occupy this divine position, just as his master Pei Xuanjing did.
Yu Zhenzi and others also secured positions as protectors and heavenly generals in the Thunder Department and joined it.
Many disciples of Shenxiao Tao also entered the Thunder Department due to their Cultivation methods. After all, the Thunder Department was overseen by Junior Leader Pang Hong and belonged to the Emperor of the South Pole Eternal Life, making their entry natural.
Pang Hong listed some individuals, like the Brothers of Mo Family and others such as Gao Ming and Gao Jue, who accompanied him to the Demon Race's territory to seize the fruits of the Divine Tree, and each received their own divine positions.
For instance, the Brothers of Mo Family received a title among the Four Great Heavenly Kings, while Gao Ming, Gao Jue, Chen Qi, and Zheng Lun received the titles of heavenly generals.
Pestilence Venerable entered the Pestilence Department and became the chief god there. Wither-Bloom Venerable, his old partner, joined him in the Pestilence Department.
The former PagodBearing Heavenly King Li was also sealed with the title of PagodBearing Heavenly King, the divine position of the Great Marshal of Heavenly Court for subduing demons.
The Taoist Monarch Qingxu of the True Martial Sect received the title of True Martial Emperor, and although it was a nominal position with little authority, he had the right to establish offices.
Everyone's contributions, such as those of Zhao Baiyang, were all added to Zhao Baiyang, who received a Heavenly Monarch divine position. Like the plans of the True Martial Sect, they did not seek great authority, but rather the identity of the Heavenly Court and the title of establishing their own mansion.
Many cultivators privately thought that this award was planned by the Emperor of the South Pole Eternal Life for the Jade Emperor, to facilitate his future control over the Heavenly Court.
The remaining cultivators, according to their different contributions, each received their titles of Heavenly Monarch, Heavenly King, and Heavenly General, offered protection by the Gods Sealing List. Ordinary soldiers who died in battle were promoted to heavenly generals, while others became heavenly soldiers, merely waiting for the cosmic forces to arrive and reshape their divine bodies.
Initially, according to the ideas of Pei Xuanjing and the other True Immortals, there were not so many titles such as Emperor Monarch, Heavenly King, and Heavenly Monarch.
But given the vast number of cultivators who participated in the Conferred God War and their selfless dedication, these True Immortals could not simply ignore their sacrifices.
Eventually, after discussions among Pei Xuanjing and the other True Immortals, it was decided to maintain the main divine positions as they were, while deriving some additional divine titles from them.
These derived divine positions had the function of Longevity, but they did not carry much authority and could not enhance much battle power; essentially, they were titles in name only.
Regarding the gods who were conferred these positions, there were generally two paths. One was for the heroic spirits who perished on the God Sealing Battlefield. They needed to rely on the divine positions to coalesce their divine bodies and thus had no choice but to merge with the divine positions.
The other portion of gods, still possessing their full cultivation levels and personal ambitions towards the Immortal Path, would not choose to directly merge with the divine positions. Instead, following the cultivation method taught by Pei Xuanjing at the Taoist Academy, they crafted a Divine Tao magical treasure to carry their divine title and Taoist fruit, while still maintaining their independence.
However, this had one drawback: if their Divine Tao magical treasure was ever lost or stolen, they would lose their authority and control over their divine position.
Yet, any cultivator daring to do so was powerful and had sufficient ambition for their own future.
With continuous sealing of divine positions completed, the entire Gods Sealing List lit up with divine titles, and aside from a few specific divine positions that could not find suitable cultivators to carry them, these positions were completely filled.
