Yan Li perfectly thrust the sword into the heart of the thorn leopard in a twinkling. As he pulled out the sword, the thorn leopard issued a low roar with the blood splashing. At the same time, Yan Li moved towards the right in a flash after his left hand patting the ground lightly.

"Bang!"

The thorn leopard fell to the ground heavily, throwing up countless pieces of dust.

Yan Li clearly knew about the weaknesses of the leopards, for he had gone into the forest for trial and slaughtered several thorn leopards in his previous life. Therefore, it was not a struggle for him to slay them because he was very experienced and familiar with their weaknesses. 

Holding a sword in hand, Yan Li stood up and stared at the ground on which was lying the one-eyed but fierce leopard.

Hit by a sudden rush of the sword, the head of the thorn leopard was cut to fly into the sky.

Like a beam of light, a figure appeared from afar. It was Xue Zhan who came back for the fight. However, when he caught sight of the body and the head which were separated from the thorn leopard, he couldn't help but swallow hard and looked at Yan Li in shock.

"Brother Yan, don't tell me you have killed this thorn leopard all by yourself?"

Yan Li nodded with much embarrassment and helplessness. He just wanted to kill the thorn leopard and left after cleaning up the mess. He had not expected that Xue Zhan would have returned.

Of course, his return also delighted Yan Li because it turned out Xue deserved to be a close friend. Yan then said sincerely, "Brother Xue, please keep the secret for me."

"Certainly! Certainly!" Xue Zhan secretly looked at the corpse of the thorn leopard and repeated.

After digging out the core of the beast, they two dug a hole in the ground and buried it.

The inner core of a beast was a special kind of material. After an alchemist processed it, the warrior could directly absorb the energy in the inner core and upgrade his vigor. The core of a level-one beast cost about one hundred to three hundred in silver.

And the core of a level-two beast was much more precious, which could be sold for more than thousands of silver.

In the Tianhuang Land, with one or two pieces of silver one could buy many things, which could even be exchanged for one hundred jin of corns for ordinary people, while the Yue rice for wealthy people cost a hundred pieces of silver per jin.

As for the rarer Ling rice, it was not available on the market.

Taking the core of the thorn leopard, Yan and Xue went on to join the others.

The seven-men team had changed into six-men team and they went forward again.   

"There are two level-one beasts ten miles ahead, and we could kill it altogether!"

"Great ! We finally had the chance to kill a beast!" Yao Ling couldn't help cheering.

Soon, two green wolves (level-one beasts) were surrounded by the group of people. Yan commanded and he suppressed one while the other five attacked the other.

Moments later, the green wolf cried out under the siege of the five people and died.

Immediately, the five people then came to help Yan Li and easily killed another green wolf .

According to the regulations, it was necessary for the six people to kill six level-one beasts to pass the test. It had only been two hours since the test started and they had already obtained two level-one beasts. Thus it seemed that it was a piece of cake to complete the entry test.

In the next several hours, Yan Li and his team had killed four level-one beasts and each of them got a core of a beast by which they would become the out-door disciples .

"Let's go out!" Yan Li suggested.

The others nodded and agreed for it was still dangerous in the test forest if they encountered another level-two beast.

So the six people walked out of the test together. However, there was an accident that they were surrounded by dozens of teenagers.

"What the hell are you guys doing?" Xue Zhan saw their embarrassed looks and asked in a low voice.

The leader was a young man in royal garments. He looked disdainful and haughty whose sight swept over Yan Li and others. He said slowly, "If you know what is going on and who I am, you'd better hand in the cores of the beasts to me. Otherwise, don't blame us for bullying the less."

Upon hearing this, Xue and others were astonished at their purpose which was to get the cores of the beasts without efforts.

For a moment, everyone's face was filled with anger, and Lin Wu asked loudly, "What's the point?"

The young man in the royal garment disdained to shake his head. "How foolish you are to ask me such a question! Can't you see that we have more people than you and we are also stronger?"

"No way! We're not giving you the cores of the beasts!" Yao Ling also shouted angrily.

The young man in royal clothes gave a contemptuous laugh. "Hey, losers, if I were you, I would like to hand over the cores. Now, there are still eight hours until the end of the test. Perhaps you can still get the cores in the coming eight hours,."

"Asshole!"

And the remaining five people who were much stronger than him were in breath building. He guessed that there were five warriors with highest level of Lian Qi including the young men in royal garments.

The man in royal garments was right: they were indeed stronger than Yan's team .

"Stupid! Have you ever heard from the examiner that we are not allowed to rob the cores of other teams?" The young man in royal garments disapprovingly curled his mouth with disdain.

Xue Zhan thought for a while and it seemed that the examiner didn't say so. At that time, he was so uncertain that he looked at Yan Li and whispered, "Brother Yan, what should we do?"

Under this circumstance, Yan Li was very calm and said "don't worry, they can't take the cores away!"

"No, you get the wrong idea! We won't give up and pass the cores on to you! Now, please let us go!" Yan Li repeated, which ignited the anger of the young man totally.

Ye Yun felt he was deeply humiliated and turned sharp and fierce eyes towards Yan Li. He said in a low voice: "Such a nasty guy, how dare you go away after playing a trick on me. It is impossible and we will beat the crap out of you!
