The Prince of the World Chapter 20: Consecutively Defeated Twice

Ye Tianyu pulled off the Xuan-level move “Three Stars Besieging the Moon”, causing immense pressure and a blood-curdling glow to explode off of his sword and close in on Yan Li in almost every direction possible, who was knee-deep in danger now.

“He is done!”

“He is done! I mean, that is a Xuan-level move and he is just a Lianqi realm disciple, so how is he supposed to take a hit like that?”

Instead of mocking him, the outdoor disciples standing off the stage all felt somewhat pity for him, since what Yan Li had done earlier already earned him their respect.

“No! This is impossible! Impossible!” Ye Tianyu cried out, hateful glare locking in on Yan Li, as two failures by in a row had him completely lost his cool.

“Yan Li, I am going to kill you!”

Howling, Ye Tianyu swung his sword towards Yan Li, not even giving a flying damn about the blade that was biting into the skin of his neck.

Yan Li's eyes darkened as he stepped off to dodge the incoming sword before teleporting himself behind Ye Tianyu and using the flat side of his sword to knock him down.

“Shixiong Yan wins!”

“Yeah! He totally does!”

Xue Zhan, Lin Wu, Lin Wen, Situ Xue and Yao Ling burst out cheering and laughing at the sight of this.

“Shit!” Lin Pou threw an icy look at Yan Li before storming off.

Other indoor disciples who came along with him all winced at that, knowing Lin Pou must have blacklisted Yan Li, and the latter was about to face some serious trouble then.

But it was understandable since not only did he lose a giant chunk of money, but also lost in the tug-of-war with Zuo Han.

“There you go, Shidi Yan! 100,000 Liang for you, take care!” Zuo Han stashed a pile of bank notes into Yan Li's hand.

Yan Li accepted the money without a second thought, since he earned it fair and square. Besides, it was nothing compared to how much Zuo Han had made today out of this fight.

“Go have fun with your friends! I will catch up with later, Shidi Yan!” said Zuo Han, smiling.

But before he left, Zuo Han also took the time to whisper to Yan Li, “Be careful of Lin Pou.”

In his past life, Yan Li was all about practicing and getting stronger, but even he had heard about the feud between Zuo Han and Lin Pou. They two were practically oil and water where Zuo Han was kind and honest while Lin Pou being the complete opposite of him.
