The Prince of the World Chapter 13: The Armored Bull

Unfortunately, there was too little vigor in his body. After he released the power through his finger, almost nothing had left. Composing himself, Yan Li decided to go to the trial forest again and kill more monsters.

If every inner core contained mixed Yuan elements, then there was a shortcut to internalize the Mixed Yuan Classic. He wouldn't have to practice several hours a day for absorbing a few mixed Yuan elements.

The inner core was the essence of each monster. Besides, the fur and bones of the monsters could be used to make leather weapons and the blood and flesh of some monsters to make elixirs.

Accordingly, low-level disciples would hunt monsters in group apart from daily practice. But Yan Li believed that he could kill the second-level monsters on his own effortlessly. Teaming up with lower-level disciples would not help at all, but hindered his action.

Leaving a note for Xue Zhan on the table in the living room, taking a bag and a stainless-steel sword, Yan Li went out of the yard straight ahead to the trial forest.

Only the minority had passed the entrance test and became out-door disciples. Some of those who had failed left the school in depression, while others chose to stay as scullions.

The warriors also had to eat, so the scullions were kept to serve other disciples.

Entering the trial forest again, though, Yan Li was in no mood to appreciate the scenery of the old place. With maximized spiritual consciousness, Yan rushed into the depth of the trial forest.

Running some tens of miles away from the entrance, Yan suddenly stopped for a second. With a light of excitement in his eyes, he found an arrow pig dozens of meters away.

The arrow pig, a first-level monster with spines like a hedgehog, attacked warriors in a monotonous way – crashing into them wildly. It cost two ounces of silver for a kilogram of the arrow pig meat.

Various information of arrow pigs appeared in his mind. Treading carefully, Yan slowly approached the pig who was eating bark.

When it was less than three meters near the arrow pig, Yan Li suddenly pulled out his long sword, and swiftly stabbed into the pig's head, as the sword was forming a beautiful arc in the air.

“Roar!”

The arrow pig sensed the danger, looked up and saw Yan attacking. Stretching its hind legs, the pig was about to dash into Yan. Just at this moment, the sword pierced into its head relentlessly.

“Puff!”

Yan pulled out his sword. The blood splattered. And the arrow pig body crashed to the ground.

Having killed the arrow pig easily, Yan Li dug the bloody monster core out, rinsed it with water, and quickly left with the core at once.

Climbing up a tall tree miles away from the previous spot, Yan started meditation with the inner core in his palm.

Entering meditation in no time, he sensed the mixed Yuan elements in the core. The core of the first-level arrow pigs contained only ten elements.

It could be proved that the higher category the monsters fell into, the more elements they would have.

Having absorbed all of the elements quickly, Yan felt contented with a smile on his face. After putting the core into his bag, he jumped up into the trees, in search of other monsters.

“Puff!”

Chopping a boa in the length of five to six meters into two sections with his sword and cutting off its head with the tip of the sword, Yan pulled out a pale green monster core.

He put the core into his backpack after cleaning it and continued searching for the next target.

It was the tenth first-level monster that he killed. Having been in the trial forest for ten hours, he killed one monster per hour.

It would have been more than this number in the past, because almost all of the first-level monsters in the marginal zone had been killed in the entrance test, and it was only a short time after the test.

“Go deeper to get more!”

However, Yan Li still hesitated, because inside the trial forest there were third-level monsters which were equivalent to the human warriors in the Shen Yuan realm. He could not ensure a victory over them if he happened to meet them.

More importantly, the third-level monsters were wise to some extent. At the same time, there were some mighty monsters, such as a third-level monster named hurricane wolf which could blow winds as fierce as blade, able to hurt people within the range of a ten-meter radius. So even the warriors of Shen Yuan realm could not kill them effortlessly.

Yan Li was determined to try his luck inside the forest, but before that, he had to prepare.

Climbing up another giant tree, Yan took out the trophies, nine first-level monster cores.

He would kill them if the total number was below three, but if they were in a larger group, he would make a detour.

Several hours later, Yan Li was in the heart of the forest with ten more first-level monster cores in his bag.

Because of the third-level monsters in the deep forest, Yan Li behaved more carefully than before, walking slowly and gently.

Suddenly, his eyes were wide open. He saw two armored bulls chasing each other leisurely more than ten meters away from him.

The armored bull, with excessive power, a pair of horns which could penetrate things easily, and outstanding defensive ability, was a kind of formidable second-level monsters.

If there was only one of them, Yan Li still got a chance to beat it up, but he hesitated as he saw two armored bulls.

“Don'tbe reckless. I am in the interior part of the trial forest. If I can't kill them as soon as possible, more monsters will come.”

Thinking of this, Yan quietly climbed up a giant tree, waiting for the opportunity.

Two hours!

Four hours!

Six hours!

When it came to the tenth hour, the two bulls seemed to have enough fun, and one of them turned away.

“It's time.”

Saying in low voice, Yan climbed down the tree quietly and approached the bull carefully with the sword.

Unexpectedly, it was so sensitive to dangers that it suddenly rose its head, staring at him with watery eyes, as he was five-meter close to it.

“Do it now!”

Without any hesitation, Yan hit the ground with his right feet, rushing out as swift as an arrow. The sword split the air with red light breaking out as Yan jumped into the sky.

A superior sword skill – roaring flame.

“Boom!”

The mighty lightening blade of the sword hit on the bull's back heavily.

“Moo!”

The armored bull cried angrily and rose up abruptly, with its horns piercing into Yan Li's lower abdomen.

“Nicedefense!”

Casting a sight on the back of the armored bull, Yan found that he didn't hurt it at all. There was only a light red mark on its back.
