The President is Being Shameless Again Chapter 73 - Wei Zilin Took out Her Resume Only and Took a Photo of Her Resume

"You're talking nonsense!" Zhu Jingjing said with a reddened face, she could already notice that people were staring at her strangely.

"Alright. Stop repeating the same sentence. You can't determine I'm talking nonsense just by saying that I am. You can show the evidence if you've got them. Otherwise, you can stop making noises." Lin Chu was fed up. They were colleagues so she did not bother about her back then. After all, they had to see each other every day and work together. Now that they no longer had any relationship, and Zhu Jingjing was trying to wreck her chances in getting a job, she could no longer endure it. 

"At that time, you and Jing Wen's manager set me up to please the client. Now that I think about it, if I didn't escape that time you would've framed me and reported to the company telling them that I seduced the client the next day. You would ask You Weiwen to fire me for using inappropriate ways to talk business. I was forced to escape from the bathroom vent because of both of you. I knew that as long as people like you are in Jing Wen, I could never stay there for long. I'm not you, I would not sell myself out for a full-time position. You only have yourself to blame for losing your job, and now you're still framing me as you did. If you played fair, I wouldn't have said anything about what you did back then."

"Zhu Jingjing, let me advise you to not go overboard. Don't always resort to dishonorable means, it's not going to work every time. It's better to behave frankly and righteously."

The rest of the people there were not fools, including the employee who was showing disdain towards Lin Chu just now. Zhu Jingjing could not say anything back to Lin Chu, she was only yelling at people repeatedly, seeing that they already knew who was speaking the truth and who was lying. 

"Great! Zhu Jingjing you still dare to show up in this industry!" Suddenly, a shrill and fiery voice of a woman was heard. 

Lin Chu looked over, and she saw Yao Xingzhi's wife rushing out from the corner. Perhaps because Yao Xingzhi lost his job, the way Mrs. Yao dressed was simple and frugal. She did not have any makeup on her face, nor did she comb her hair. It made her look more shrewish. 

Mrs. Yao came up to pull Zhu Jingjing's hair. Zhu Jingjing had her hair falling around her today just to exhibit her innocence which made it more convenient for Mrs. Yao. 

Zhu Jingjing shrieked, and then she was pulled to the ground by Mrs. Yao. Mrs. Yao sat on her directly, slapping Zhu Jingjing on her face non-stop while pulling her hair. 

She scolded, "How dare a shameless woman like you stay in City B! Whichever company that's willing to hire you won't be great either. You're a scourge. You seduced my husband and caused him to lose his job, there aren't any companies that are willing to hire him now. You also seduced your superior, and now his wife is filing a divorce from him after she found out about it. Forget about his job, I think he can't even retain most of his assets. You should just hit your head and die, I can't believe you still have the guts to act ostentatiously!"

"Ah! Let me go!" Zhu Jingjing screamed and pushed Mrs. Yao away.

However, she was light-headed after being slapped by Mrs. Yao, her vision was pitch black intermittently. Even if she pushed with both of her hands, it did not have much effect. Instead, Mrs. Yao pulled her hair and kept pounding Zhu Jingjing's head on the marble floor.

Although Mrs. Yao was crazy, somehow she managed to control her strength. She was afraid to cause any serious accident. Even so, Lin Chu could imagine the pain just by hearing the thumping sound. 

"Why would I let go of you, you shameless wench! I said I'd beat you up once I saw you, and I'd beat you to death if you showed up in front of my eyes! I'm not even sure how many men you've slept with. You're just filthy, yet you still want to dress up like this to act innocent. Who do you want to seduce!" Mrs. Yao screamed furiously, "You think that you'll be clean if you look like this? I can't even count the number of men you've slept with. There's no difference between you and a prostitute. If the men in this company found out about this, whoever who's willing to touch you are people who aren't afraid of being disgusted!"

Lin Chu naturally would not interfere, Zhu Jingjing had bad intentions toward her anyway. Although Yao Xingzhi was also at fault, Zhu Jingjing played a part in wrecking a family. It was sensible to let Mrs. Yao lash out on her. It was also Zhu Jingjing's karma. Lin Chu was not kind enough to repay the malicious acts that Zhu Jingjing did to her by helping Zhu Jingjing. She only needed to ensure that Zhu Jingjing would not be beaten to death by Mrs. Yao. 

Just when Lin Chu was wondering why the security guards of the building had not arrived to handle the situation, she saw three security guards rushing over. They hurriedly pulled Mrs. Yao away from Zhu Jingjing, but she was still kicking her feet. Not sure if Zhu Jingjing was just unlucky, but just when she got up, she was kicked by Mrs. Yao and fell to the floor once again. 

Apparently, the employee of Lin Yi who was in front of the meeting room just now placed her stuff in the meeting room, then quickly informed the guards.

Lin Chu gave a cold stare at her pretentious act. Then, she shifted her field of vision briefly because she was scared that she would feel disgusted by it. 

However, Lin Chu did not expect Zhu Jingjing would be like as relentless as a cockroach. Zhu Jingjing had tears streaming down her face. "Lin Chu, do you have to undermine me like this only then you'll be contented?"

"What does this have to do with me?" Lin Chu said incredulously, "Do you think that I was the one who invited Mrs. Yao here? How important do you think you are to deserve my attention."

"Lin Chu, you…," Zhu Jingjing started crying sorrowfully, she was like a different person compared to her imposing manner just now. 

Lin Chu felt strange, then she heard the female employee of Lin Yi called out to the person behind Lin Chu respectfully, "President Wei."

Lin Chu raised her eyebrows. She could not believe it, did Zhu Jingjing want to get the attention of Wei Zilin with her act?

She must have had a lot of confidence!

Besides this possibility, Lin Chu could not think of other reasons why Zhu Jingjing decided to change her attitude. 

Sure enough, she saw Zhu Jingjing looked at Wei Zilin cautiously. She looked quite pitiable. 

However, Wei Zilin did not walk over. He only stood in front of the door of the meeting room for a while. He put one of his hands in his pocket, then he glanced at Zhu Jingjing with his black eyes coldly. He looked stern, it seemed like he did not buy into the look of Zhu Jingjing. 

Wei Zilin only looked at his assistant who was standing behind to make a sign, then he entered into the meeting room. 

"Ms. Zhu, we've just confirmed that you not only obtained business contracts by improper means, but you also framed your colleague. Our company not only require our employees to have a high working capability but also a good character. If Ms. Zhu behaves like this outside, it will bring discredit to the company and affect the company's image. Therefore, I'm asking Ms. Zhu to leave. We do not want to interview Ms. Zhu," the assistant Shen Zongyi said slowly. 

"Our company will not spread whatever that happened here today," Shen Zongyi said flatly. Then he said to the female employee of Lin Yi, "Please send Ms. Zhu out."

No matter how thick-skinned Zhu Jingjing was, she did not have the nerve to stay there at that time. She was already rushing outside looking dejected before she was thrown out. 

Shen Zongyi's expression had not changed as if nothing had happened. He straight away called in the first applicant to interview.

By the time Lin Chu finished her interview, it was already almost noon. She was not the last one to be interviewed, there were still some people after her.

She saw the text message that Xu Moyan sent to her after she walked out from Lin Yi, asking her to call once she was done with her interview. She knew that Xu Moyan was concerned about the interview, so she called back.

Lin Chu also told her about how Zhu Jingjing tried to slander her but did not succeed, and also how she was asked to leave. 

"Haha, that's karma! Does she think that everyone's like the people in Jing Wen? The bumpkins in Jing Wen have not even seen much of life. She thinks that she's loved by everyone. She didn't even think of who founded Lin Yi, would Wei Zilin care about her?" Xu Moyan laughed loudly. 

"Keep your voice down. Are you working now? If people heard you, you might bring trouble upon yourself," Lin chu reminded.

"Oops, I just got way too emotional," Xu Moyan lowered her voice, "How was your interview?"

"There were lots of people who were there for the interview today. When I was waiting outside, I could hear some of their conversations. Most of them either graduated from prestigious universities, or they already have a lot of working experience after working in this field for several years. Some of them even worked on some well-known cases. Many of them took on cases from big companies, some even worked on some hot topics. I think I'm inferior compared to them."

Lin Chu said while walking to the bus stop, "I think this is my best performance in an interview, but I think it's useless because there are a lot of outstanding candidates. I am not confident. At least I get to gain some experience by attending this interview. Wei Zilin asked me a few pertinent questions. Just a few minutes of simple communication during the interview, but he could manage to hit the nail on the head, so I am keen to work there and learn more."

While she was chatting with Xu Moyan, she heard someone calling out to Xu Moyan. Lin Chu quickly hung up the phone because she did not want to disturb her working. 

She reached the bus stop and waited for a while. Then, she received a phone call from Old Lady Lin. 

"Lin Chu, you left without saying a word that day. I'm worried about you," Old Lady Lin said. 

"I'm fine. I'm sorry I couldn't have dinner with you that day," Lin Chu said. The bus arrived and she boarded it.

Fortunately, it was a weekday. Although the seats on the bus were fully occupied, the bus was not packed. Lin Chu found a spot to stand, then Old Lady Lin said, "I have nothing to do today. I just want us to have a meal together, just the both of us. Let's not invite the rest of them. I haven't seen you for a while. I miss you. We didn't even get to chat for long the last time. Are you free now?"

"I…," just when Lin Chu was about to say something, she was interrupted by Old Lady Lin.

"I heard you resigned. Were you being mistreated in your old company?" Old Lady Lin asked, "Haven't you found a new job yet? Tell me, grandma will set things straight for you."

Lin Chu did not want to lie to Old Lady Lin. "It's nothing. I'm out for a job interview today."

"Are you done with your interview then?" Old Lady Lin asked.

"Yes," Lin Chu replied.

Old Lady Lin seemed pleased and she sounded more relaxed. "Can you come out now? Let's have a meal together. You'll be so busy with work sooner or later that I don't know when I'll be able to see you again. Just treat it as celebrating my birthday in advance. You're very capable, you'll pass the interview. I'm wishing you ahead of time that everything goes well in your work. How about I pick you up?"

She knew that she could not escape from Old Lady Lin since she was so insistent in having lunch with her. Lin Chu was just curious as to why Old Lady Lin was asking her out and her real intentions behind it. 

"It's alright, I'll go there on my own," Lin Chu said.

Old Lady Lin seemed extra pleased when she heard that Lin Chu agreed. They decided to meet at Sheng Yue. 

Lin Chu got off at the next stop. There was no direct bus or subway to Sheng Yue, so Lin Chu hailed a taxi.

Lin Chu did not know that after the interview ended, Wei Zilin took out her resume only and took a photo of her resume. Then he tapped open his WeChat. 

Lin Chu arrived at Sheng Yue, then she followed the waitstaff to the room where Old Lady Lin was in. 

The waitstaff opened the door for her. Lin Chu stood in front of the door and she was stunned. Lin Yuwen and Chen Ziming were sitting beside Old Lady Lin. 

Old Lady Lin saw Lin Chu, then hurriedly waved her hands to beckon her to walk in. "I bumped into Yuwen and Ziming who came back to deal with something on my way out, so they came here with me."

Old Lady Lin was hesitant for a while, then she said as if she was walking on eggshells, "They came as well. You don't mind right?"

Lin Yuwen stood up before Lin Chu could say anything. "Lin Chu, if you don't wish to see us, we'll leave. We purposely came here with grandma because we want to make up with you since we parted on bad terms last time."

Chen Ziming looked at Lin Chu with a weird expression on his face. His car tires were all punctured the next day after leaving her house that night. There was no evidence, but he found the coincidence odd.

Lin Chu smiled as she walked in, "As long as the both of you don't pester me in the future, I have no problem at all."

Old Lady Lin laughed, then made a hand gesture asking Lin Chu to sit beside her, "Lin Chu, how was the interview today?"

"It's all right. The competition's fierce and there were a lot of outstanding people," Lin Chu smiled faintly.

"Oh? Which company did you interview for? Tell us and we'll send our regards, and you can directly get in after that," Lin Yuwen said as she fondled her hair with her fingers and tucked it behind her ear gently. She showed a confident smile and said, "If you told us in advance, you wouldn't even need to attend the interview. It's not hard to ask a small public relations company to offer you a position in the name of the Lin family. You can easily achieve the purpose in certain matters, why do you need to be lofty?"

"That's right," Old Lady Lin grabbed Lin Chu's hand, "Why do you need to suffer outside. We'll definitely help you if it's within our means. Tell us which company and I'll let Yuwen contact them in a bit. The Lin family is still influential and respectable."

Lin Chu understood the meaning behind Old Lady Lin's words. She must have thought that a trivial matter like this would not require Lin Zhenghe to take up the matter himself. The small companies would have to do Lin Yuwen this favor since she was the daughter of the Lin family. 

None of them could imagine that Lin Chu would attend a big company's interview. Lin Chu was aware of her capabilities. Just like how she started working in Jing Wen, she could only start from a small company since she was only a fresh graduate with little working experience. 

Lin Chu did not want Old Lady Lin to feel awkward by mentioning Lin Yi. She knew that Old Lady Lin genuinely wanted to help her. However, Wei Zilin was not someone that Lin Yuwen could ask a favor from, not even Lin Zhenghe could.

After all, if she wanted to pull some strings to get in, she could have just asked Yan Beicheng. It could be easily settled with a word based on the relationship between Yan Beicheng and Wei Zilin. However, she did not wish to do that.

"There's no need for that. This company isn't one that I can pull some strings to get into. I think I performed well, but there are a lot of impressive people as well. I am not very confident, but I'm taking this as a learning experience," Lin Chu said flatly.
